Just wanted to advise people that Bloodsport is also being released in Germany this month on 4k with dolby atmos in English and a host of special features also with English optional sound.
Man I'm struggling with what to upgrade and what not to. I hate feeling like I don't have the best version of a film I love but I don't want to rebuy my whole collection.
Everybody does it. Time for you to join the 4k club. 2160p is superior. Example Gladiator bluray was terrible. In 4k it looked like it was filmed yesterday.
@@stephensdygert7600 I've been in the club since it started but I promised myself I would only upgrade the stuff I loved the most or stuff that really offer a good improvement. I've been breaking that promise right and left. But man I hate to rebuy everything. Every time I upgrade something there's some other movie that won't make it into the collection. The struggle is real.
@@luciusblackwood2640 In the history of home viewing. I'm thankful, I lived to see the HD age. Growing up as a kid, I always though TV looked terrible. Home video formats, like VHS were awful. 12 inch laser disc's was your best format, the problem with LD's, was quality control. Many disc had defects, plus they were ridiculously expensive. DVD was a slight improvement. DVD-AUDIO music was amazing 5.1. uncompressed audio. When HD TV was presented as a format in the US, to replace the old system. Most people in the industry, fought against it, CBS,NBC, ABC. The cost of upgrading was astronomical. It took along time. The government rejected HD technology in 1984 . In the mid 1990's things started to progress. TV technology was always, way ahead, of the actual "signal" that was going through it. HD technology grew in home video first. Going from DVD video(480i) too HD DVD 720p- 1080p Toshiba's technology. DVD-AUDIO was the best way to listen to music, always superior to vinyl. HD DVD was the greatest video format in history. Sony introduced "bluray" 1080p picture. The format war began between Sony and Toshiba. Both formats were "basically" equal in video/audio performance, however HD had a slight edge in video quality(slightly) because Toshiba had no "anti copy guard" on their disc, Sony had too much copyright guard on their bluray format(still to this day) Sony ended up winning the format war. They basically bribed the movie studios. They own many of them. DVD-AUDIO music defeated Sony's SA CD format in sales. Bluray HD 1080p took us out of the dark ages of home video viewing. 4:3 pictures too 16:9 (why a 20:9 TV has not been introduced is puzzling) However 4k bluray came along 2160p picture. Is it night and day, "better" than 1080p? No, however it is better! Many movies its a drastic improvement, some movies there is no difference. Where Sony cuts corners on bluray/4k bluray is the audio. As great as Dolby Atmos and DTSX is, they still are really CD quality, they still could sound better. Currently the greatest audio format is DVD-AUDIO/Bluray-audio 24bit 96khz Unfortunately most bluray/4k movies are mixed at 24bit 43khz Any body who tries to tell you vinyl sounds better than Bluray-audio is wrong. Personally I still have many 1080p disc. I watch more music concerts than movies. The only 4k rock bluray that's available today in physical media is Michael Schenker live in Madrid (that I'm aware of) The 4k format is here, you only go around once.
Never watched the terrifier movies- thought it'd be like watching hostel with a clown that doesn't talk. If my assumption of this movie is wrong, someone please let me know. This disc would be the opportunity to pick it up.
