As someone who has personally survived a wildland fire driven at 67mph and lost barns, and had family lose houses and outbuildings. You can absolutely have a tree survive and houses burned to rubble. It’s very common. Our experience was a decade ago and just farmland so nothing nefarious except dry lightning and wind… The entire shelter belt of nearly hundred year old trees survived almost entirely unscathed while everything else was rubble. It has everything to do with the wind… where the fire slowed the trees were vaporized…
Haha! I’m not sure if that would work but I’m sure there’s something to the fact that trees are alive and like firewood won’t burn until it’s seasoned… Trees don’t burn easily when they’re green.

@PrairieRoseHomestead-ri8bn I have burned green wood. Smokes alot, less heat but they burn just not well. What you say makes sense
