What makes him truly scary is the fact that we don't know anything about him. We don't know his origins, why he targets the glitchy crew, what his motives are, what he's capable of doing, whether there are more like him out there, or what his start of darkness was. Literally nothing is known about this tv... thing. At least the previous major villains (Francis, Waluigi, Niles, Lawyer Kong) had context as to who they were, what their motives are, and what they were capable of. We know nothing about this tv entity aside from the fact that he targeted Wren, SMG4, and Marty alongside him being the one who sold the showgrounds. The clear lack of an origin story or proper motivation actually helps to make this tv guy truly terrifying. There's no rhyme or reason in his actions and the crew aren't even aware of this tv entity's existence. He's just... there. It's like what made Judge Doom such a terrifying villain
Honestly, I just don't find him interesting. SMG4 did basically nothing to promote him, and he is just a clique villain. 'Oh, he trapped some people in a simulation, and it looks like they love it but really they are terrified.' Yep, haven't seen that one before. 'A dude that appears in random places only to become a villain later.' I mean, this is a creative idea, but the fact that he is so unmemorable aside from one scene from Western Spaghetti, the Announcement Video, It's gotta be Perfect and WOTFI 2023, he doesn't do anything really evil. He is just there. We have already seen the gang in a simulation game, so the stakes are not that high, and it asks to rate the episodes, kind of like the decisions in WOTFI 2023, and that is a great idea, if the episodes did something to stand out. Honestly I just didn't like how condescending Mario Mysteries was. Kind of felt like Analog Horror done by a 6 year old
A dread inducing thought: -The crew aren't aware of the tv salesman who is the pinnacle of "the spook". And on that note, we don't know where the adware came from. Everything has to come from somewhere so WHERE did this tv salesman come from? Are there more like him out there?

How many indie animations have Tv headed characters!? We have Puzzlevision, we have Vox from Hazbin Hotel, and don’t get me started on the one from that forsaken UA-cam series made by Dafuqboom. Heck, these Tv heads all share the ability to hypnotize people in a certain way and manner.
Theory:smg4 was making something but when puzzle vision come in smg4 computer to give his keyboard and then smg4 but it and the keyboard come with puzzle vision soul and the soul get in smg4 and start making the show and when puzzle vision was in the keyboard and power was in it to stop everyone to disturb smg4

I’m coming back after Mario’s Mysteries to say that in some of the clips shown, we can hear the TV Time song play.
In retrospect, we should've been more suspicious of SMG4 using original music.
