Oh my god, amazing. My fav song for 30 years. Heard it a million times. This version is raw, powerful and just, better. Kurt would have loved this. Nice job.
nah, those are available, but there is also an archive floating around of the original multitrack sessions of a bunch of nirvana songs. I think an engineer must have bootlegged them during one of the reissues. There are all kinds of extra scratch tracks , guitar solos, etc, that ended up muted in the final mixes. It's pretty much the holy grail for a long time nirvana fan.
@@kurtcobain8316 I learned to like it, but I still think it should have sounded more powerful especially on tracks such as Milk it and Scentless Apprentice
@@deadroses19 Yeah, well, everyones taste is different. I don't really care for Milk it, but the sound of Scentless Apprentice is spot on, in my opinion. And the sound of In Utero is what they wanted, so, give or take really. I think most of the songs are really great on there.
the vocal track he had access most likely already sounded too produced. All "vocals only" tracks on youtube of smells, sounds like this. Doubled/ tripled overdub all the way through
When a video says "In Utero like-Mix", it just means the drums are more roomy
The guitars are more crunchy and fuzzy as well like in utero
in most cases, basically
LOL yeah
They do put effort into remastering other instruments too most the time

Hey, may I ask what your using to do this mix and if you are a sound engineer? This is amazing.
i like this one better
maybe it's because i'm a drummer and the sound on 'Scentless Apprentice' blows my mind to this day
god those drums are perfect
great mix You can make a mix of drain you that the song is heard like in utero
Luis Vega agreed

WTH IT SOUNDS BETTER
Hi I’m sorry I’m late but how do u get the different drum sounds
I wish this version used the pitch of most of the live performances of this song from 1992-1994
can you do the same with all of the songs off of nevermind?
Where did you get the raw tracks?
Rock band

Can i use it really?
The only thing that makes this unrealistic is the reverb on the vocals, there's barely any on the album.
"This video is not available" why?
MeiAids 😕
i bet kurt would’ve liked this version better.
He liked wrong lmao imho what ruins in utero is the sound production
@@deadroses19 In Utero is great though? Not ruined at all. But each to their own..

@@kurtcobain8316 you can barely hear the guitar on that. The demo sounds so much heavier. The vocals are loud asf, its a shame
Awesome
👏👏👏👏
Drums are too buried?
Way to effected up. Buries the vocals and guitars for what should be peripheral drum accentuates.
Great mixing effort though
Vladimir Vendeyes 😂. Nice try but u still suck

Prettyboymaxxing is Temporary, Chadmaxxing is Eternal, and Femboymaxxing is Heresy.
Nahh
What? Are You Crazy? It Sounds wa Better! They Should have done it this way
Yes
@@jamesbarker7788 No they shouldn't. The "original" is perfection.
@@kurtcobain8316 The original mixed by Butch Vig that ended up being replaced by Andy Wallace? Yes, the Devonshire version is perfection.
@@emiliomontesdeocagonzalez681 The official version, Andy Wallace. Butch's good too but doesnt hits you the same way.
