I just got the same thermo control, and I am concerned about sealing around the copper wire. What did you do to make sure there’s a good seal and no air exchange near the wire?
Michael Brown yes it is. I’ve used it on three different freezers and replaced a commercial refrigerator thermostat with one actually. They all run 24/7 with no problems. This thermostat actually shuts off the compressor the same way the factory one would by cutting power to it once it reaches temp
3 large chest freezers? Where do you get your food? Are you trying to go 6 months without ever stepping into a grocery store? Doesn't the wire from the thermostat hanging over the side and into the unit create a gap, and eventually a deformed seal in the lid?
You never showed how to hook it up. Plug your fridge chord into this chord... An alternate idea would be to use a timer plug and set freezer to run, say for 6 hours on & 6 hours off.( here one has to calibrate the temperature you want)

joe doe I’m a caterer and no deformities, the bulb wire is a very small diameter
