Van Life 101: 12V Fridge Comparison for Living in a Van

In today's video we reach back into the old vault and pluck out a video I shot with my good friend Jamie of Enigmatic Nomadics (www.youtube.co...! In it we do a comparison of 5 different 12-Volt compressor fridge/freezers made by ARB, Dometic. Engle and Whynter. They are all great units and can be powered by a 200-Watt solar power system off of 12-volt or 110-volt. They operate as either a fridge, or a freezer (down to zero degrees F.) but not both at the same time. Their low power draw, very small size, and ultra-reliable operation make them ideal for vandwellers and RVers.
