Good. The transgender chickens they sold never laid eggs for some reason.
Don’t tell me your chicken farm is no longer diverse! 👄🤬
Is it diverse enough if my rooster is black?
BoSmith, You win the internet for today!
LEGENDARY comment!
I’ll answer for Disney.
“No. We can’t. Ever. BlackRock and State Street won’t let us.”
Black Rock and State Street are investment firms. They have to answer to their investors, who expect a return on their investment. DEI was an idealogical experiment that failed. They thought they could push their social agenda and make money at the same time. But they were mistaken. Unless they can find a way to make DEI profitable, they will have no choice but to abandon it.
@@jakeviolet2195it is more than an investment it is a cult. They will accept any losses for their cause.
@@jakeviolet2195When you have a $9 trillion worth, it's more about maintaining total control than stacking pennies.
Top 3 TSC stockholders: Vanguard, Blackrock, and State Street.
@@jakeviolet2195true, but BlackRock $BLK and State Street's $STT largest shareholders are Vanguard, BlackRock & State Street. And though Vanguard is private, their board makes 100% of proxy votes for their shareholders
Where am I going to buy a John Queere tractor now????
Haha
Take comfort in the fact that no matter where you buy it you still won't be allowed to repair it yourself.
There’s a “Snap On Tools” joke to be found here somewhere.
@@rfichokeofdestiny"Snap-Off Tools"?
John Queere: Rainbow Edition
Where am I going to buy a non-binary combine now??
At least let me watch gay combine's mating - i'm interested to see what comes out from this unholy act
To be fair, all of the big name combines swing three ways, corn head, bean head and row crop. Strap on the right attachment and it's fun in any situation. Set some boundaries and sit back and let the good times roll.
Try the already 'Used Market'.
If Lesley Headline Weinstein thinks R2D2 is a Lesbian I would hazard a Guess the Tractor would be least one of the Alphabets.
The difference being TSC has regular contact with the real world
Farmers tend to be... grounded.
Disney doesn’t seem to want to learn.
I love "if they had to work as hard as farmers they would die"! That says it all.
Your parting line sums up the problem Disney has perfectly, they no longer recognize what normal is and so cannot produce products for normal people anymore which means the majority of people are not seen as customers anymore.
Correct. Ordinary people aren't part of their "modern audience".
Last year I bought a dozen chicks that Tractor Supply assured me identified as laying hens. They crow like mad, I can't keep them trying to kill each other, and they have yet to lay a single egg.
But they do look fabulous.
Getting a feather boa caught in those blades isn't a smart way to harvest fabulous.
... but it's a GREAT way to push up those daisies!
“…hive of progressive flying monkeys”, and “if they had to work as hard as farmers, they would die”. This is all golden and should be in the You Tube Quote Hall of Fame! What is amazing is that these quotes are true.
Frankly, those execs in Disney really doesn't know what "normal" is
If the Hollywood weirdos had to work as farmers in the Midwest, I don’t think they would survive.
Because DEI cons haven't got all of Disney's money yet. Unlike Tractor Supply which doesn't have as much.
the fact that there is a "black farmers association," or any "black" specific org for that matter, really is a commentary on how broken our country is.
That's really the problem. Who the hell cares about their skin color? Get to work!
It would have made way more sense in 1960.
Tractor Supply Co. Understood this motto. "Go woke, Go broke."
Will see if they keep to their promise.
@@CallMeChato You are right. Time will tell.
@@CallMeChato They won't. They'll just be more secretive about it going forward
The Bud Light treatment is spreading.
Good!
Isn't that just cancel culture for right wingers?
@@00bikeboy No. Cancel culture is worse... it basically starts with a boycott, then keeps going... and gets highly personal.
Also, I can't be shamed into giving my money to people who h8 me.
@@Nyet-Zdyes We know cancel culture exists on the left, what I'm asking is whether it also exists on the right. I believe it does. The point being that shutting down free speech is wrong no matter who's doing it.
@@00bikeboy I think that "cancel culture" probably does exist on the right... but this isn't it.
As for "shutting down free speech"...
That is far more complicated for SOME people.
Let's use a celebrity as an example...
They have the right to free speech, too.
Of course, by doing so, they risk alienating some of their fans, depending on how they choose to exercise it... what they choose to endorse, or oppose... and how to do so... and to what extent... and also how *offensive* to be about supporting or opposing an idea.
Simply put, there are some jobs that you shouldn't take, if you aren't willing to use a brain-mouth filter... self-censor.
Customer service, public relations, politician, and celebrity are a few of these.
Politicians and celebrities are salespeople, and their "product" is themselves... including their reputations.
@@00bikeboy no most of the right doesn't strip in front of children on a rainbow float
I used to work a tractor supply and it was the worst job i ever had. The pay was really bad and the physical labor was intense. Just thought i would throw that in in case anyone was considering working there!
The Board of Directors are required by law to serve the interests of the shareholders.
What "DEI" does is give them a legal defense for ignoring their fiduciary responsibilities.
When investors sued Bob Iger at Disney for packing the Board of Directors with friends who aren't even qualified for the positions they hold ,his response in Court was he did it to make the Board of Directors more "Diverse".
When investors allow the CEO to include DEI as one company's goals they are basically giving the Board of Directors a blanket excuse to mismanage the company.
Big pro DEI investors own a lot of Disney stock and that's who they are catering to. They are not catering to the general audience.
Catering to people who buy movie tickets and merch would be so cringe
You actually can't _force_ a company to do your bidding just because you own some stock... that is a myth. If the company wasn't into to doing a thing, beforehand, it wouldn't do it! Blaming stockholders, though they may have political agendas they prefer over others, diverts the blame from being placed where it belongs... on the people creating the product!!!
Already watched the TSC aPauling news so...
...glad to watch again.
You’re a trooper.
The southern accent reminded me of Alton Brown when he dressed up like colonel Sanders on Good Eats, thanks for the laugh 😂
well shoot, where will i get my post hole digger that thinks it's a shovel now?
They didn't stop DEI at TSC they are just hiding it better now. I won't step foot into another TSC until they fire the CEO and the entire management and board are removed.. Glad there are other suppliers to provide for my needs now..
I thought the agriculture industry was THE hotbed for lesbian, gay, trans, bisexual, aces, intersex, cross-dressing, whatsis, whosis, and every other facet of queer and alternate lifestyle? You mean it isn't? HOW DID TSC GET THIS WRONG?? I'm astonished. No, truly! 🤔
You deliver common sense with absolute hilarity.
As I understand it, the New York Times has already printed at least one article showing what a dumpster fire DEI truly is.
I am holding off judgment on Tractor Supply for now. We'll see. As for Disney? They don't WANT to.
Wait, is that why tractor supply went to shit?
My understanding wasn't that TSC dabbling in woke-ism got them into trouble with intolerant rednecks, as has generally been used as the butt of jokes ala 4:30, but that from what Mr. Starbuck saw they were making attempts to conceal it from their customers.
@@Absolutely_Nobody yep
And lost 2 billion in stocks
@@drewjohnson-85 no, like Diz their products sucks
@@markbarrera6807 I’m not arguing against that just pointing out that this incident lost them 2 billion dollars in stock value as well.
Step 1: Fire everyone in leadership that allowed this to happen.
Step 2: If Step 1 is not completed, recognize that this is a scam and any other step would be irrelevant.
I wonder if the CEO is still employed there? If so then it will be a matter of time before they go back to this in a more sneaky way.. awesome video!!!
To be fair to Tractor Supply, this has all the odor of an idiot new marketing hire (what Budweiser calls a VP).
Because TSC has competition from other farm supply companies like Rural King. Customers can go elsewhere. With Disney doesn’t have that same type of alternate.
A lot went to Rural King I understand.
What are you talking about there not being an alternate to Disney? In what regard? Take your pick of animated studios that put out garbage movies and netflix level tv shows. The parks maybe? Cause Disney is getting lapped by Universal in that regard. Do you mean their cruise line? Like any other cruise line isn't going to give you a better experience for less money?
Where are we struggling to find an alternative?
Start embracing the insults they hurl towards us.
I grew up in West Covina. Literally laughed out loud.
DEI isn't just racism, it's also segregation. The cultists want to put everyone in their own boxes without intermingling, especially if you are of European decent, or close to it. They don't care about fairness and if someone is better at what is needed for the job. As the some of the abbreviations have perfectly noted, D.E.I. is "Destroy Every Institution" or "Disney Eats Itself" (which is definitely is doing). There was an even better one noted recently in a WDW Pro livestream that I really wish I had written done. This crazy movement seems hellbent to weed its way into every corporation and destroy them from within, while not even giving a thought to the fact they will kill themselves in the process. D.E.I. comes across as a suicide cult now. That's scary.
A bunch of socially engineered narcissistic useful.... after their purpose is served they will be all [ a word Daleks like repeating] for "living space".
Kind of like bacteria, viruses, cancer cells...
💪🤣💪
The tree of Liberty is still thirsty boys…….
Well said, friend! And the editing: nearly coughed up my farmer-farmed Corn Flakes laughing at the "... they would die." part!!🥰
People take the machinery of life for granted, that's for sure. Good to hear from you.
Why not just take the DEI funding and ignore their list of demands and tell them to F off.
Great news! I've been avoiding Tractor Supply Co. for a while now. It'll be nice to go back.
Classically, the true villain will never see themselves as the villain, or the demanding, whining, get in my boat or drown extremist. I'm looking at you, DEIsny.
Ironically, Tractor Supply does not supply tractors.
Trivia question for everyone here:
Without looking it up;
When was the last oil refinery that produced leaded gasoline taken off line, and what parts of the world still used it until very recently (last 5-10 years)?
Just as worthy as when it was on the other channel. PS I like your Walter Cronkite.
I’m willing to bet there was a strong faction in the company that was already arguing against it and was able to get the upper hand with those developments. No such thing exists in companies like disney.
How do we shut down Black Rock and State Street? How do we make them pay for their crimes against humanity legally? You lawyers out there, please work on this?
Hollywood in general and Disney in particular is no longer in the business of making movies they're in the business of being paid to make movies by investors. Appealing to an audience and making a film that makes a profit is no longer part of their business model. Having a hit film is just advertising to attract more investors not a requirement to keep the lights on.
Conditioning is their game.
I say their turn-around didn't really happen. I consider it smoke and mirrors until they let Starbuck audit their business for a year.
Disney has invested too much time, money, and effort to walk back on DEI now. To stop now would tell the world they were wrong and they just can't admit that.
I really wanna make a Detractor Supply joke but I don't know how 😂
Nothing like a big ol expensive discrimination lawsuit to bring a company back to it's senses
Now I might go shop there again.
Dont
As a rural cowpoke from Oklahoma in defense of show tunes, should anyone be surprised to hear an old Okie whistling, “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning?" I think not!
First rule: know your target. For instance, many Muslims shop there. Always buying fertiliser for some reason. I doubt they'd be onboard
🤔
How the hell was this not picked up by rural America.
How hard would it be for Disney?
Impossibly so without a purge of most if not all management
West Covina??!! Holy sh*t!!! I didn't realize that I lived on the edge of the Hollywood world.
The entire useful world.
TSC isn't the only company In the agricultural industry that incorporates DEI initiatives. Ag chemical companies do this too even though 99.999% of their customers are not even remotely alphabet group adjacent.
The rot has gone too deep at Disney and they have betrayed far too much.
They never figure out that if they shut up for 5 minutes and stopped going after kids no one would care what they called themselves. Like need children they can't have a single area they aren't front and center. Not that they don't belong, but where they don't dominate.
Thank you for your common sense, Paul.
Thanks!
Hope I earned it. Thanks.
Good man. GOOD MESSAGE.
A farmer friend of mine--well, more of a rancher, really, but he does grow a shit ton of hay and alfalfa--once said something along the lines of, "I don't care if someone is gay or straight or whatever. But when I say I don't care, that means *I don't care*. Being treated like anyone else is all anyone should expect." I've always thought that always sums it up nicely.
The problem is that a lot of the younger generation of the rainbow community are so used to being treated like they "special and amazing" for being different and merely existing.
So when they're confronted by other people who don't care and treat them like any other schlub in line waiting to pay for groceries at safeway it causes their brains too instantly divide by zero and blue screen.
Its one of the reasons that my gay cousin hates "pride month" with a passion.
He prefers too celebrate who he is rather than what he is, because in his words:
"who I am is far more important than what I am, what I am is entirely an accident of fate caused by a specifc random combination of dna, who I am is everything I've achieved and accomplished from the day I was born until now, that matters more too me than anything else".
Cows don't give a hoot about what kind of holes you have.. Either does the Owl for that matter.
Corporate TSC HQ played around with liberal politics but the individual stores stayed conservative to the core.
Middle America sounds like an appealing place to live, tbh.
I knew it! They segregate their chickens when they sell them, evil!
Es un asco esto que están haciendo de su agenda de 💩 como Disney con the acolyte... Saludo Chato
Wearing your fathers jacket! Awesome! Love the Canada Flag pin as well! :)
Thanks.
Imagine if there was a group called the National White Farmers association?!? ... need I even complete the sentence in how that would be received?
TSC should send all the DEI people to the Long Black train !
reminds me of the BBC Country files (Sunday night rural affairs program) episode which had a feature on 'The Rise of The Far Right in Rural England'
I'm wondering if "the Beeb" is as bad as PBS... the closest thing that we have to it here on this side of the pond.
According to PBS, "the far right" is anyone even slightly left of Chairman Mao, Uncle Joe, and that Austrian guy with the little mustache.
Oh, wait... they actually DO call that last one 'far right'...
DEI. It stands for Division / Delusion / Discrimination / Decriminalization, Exclusion, and Insanity (as in repeating actions while expecting different results).
Paul going hard on this one, well done sir.
Farmers of all people should care about climate change - but that has nothing to do with DEI. Lumping them in is a bit sad.
If Disney wanted to get rid of DIE it's would need to do it's own Red Wedding like Elon did at "X" and to be frank they wont, as it's so engrained at Disney you would need to wipe and reload
Your Tractor Supply voice sounds exactly like the DNA from Jurassic Park!
Turns out, people who work with their hands don't care what other people (who are still looking up the definition of 'work') do in their beds... who knew?!?!?!?
I'm an old-school left winger in Iowa. I've been shopping at TSC for decades, and never noticed a single hint of DEI/ESG in their stores. So this whole thing was always just a pretense to show the Wall Street crowd how hip they were to the latest buzz-words.
Tractor Supply wasn't "funding sex changes," they were offering health plans that pay for such treatments and surgeries, which all health plans do, because it's health care.
“Far-Right”
So far we’ve been right (correct) about Evertything.
Is it really "the vast majority of America?" What does one have to do to fight against that view?
Hyperbole on 11.
Because Iger has lost control of the company. DEI activists are so entrenched in the running of Disney in to the ground cleaning them out may be impossible.
In rural MT, I knew obviously gay ranchers who loved the work I did in the locally supported community theater. This was a normal thing. Everyone knew the one transsexual man and knew that he became so through horrible family trauma. When he was a child, he and his sister were playing with mysteriously tame ground squirrels while at a park next to the Fort Peck Dam. Those ground squirrels were not tame, they were poisoned by the BLM, Bureau of Land Management, not the other one. They were both poisoned. His sister died and he became his sister.
Do you really think tractor supply will just stop? Lol! Theyll just call it something else
I’m not convinced that TSC has totally abandoned DEI. It’s probably more like they put it away in a closet to be brought out incrementally later.
Tractor co did what Disney does: reacts to their market base. More people that buy at TSC don't want that DEI agenda. Disney customers that want that still outnumber the other ones.
Disney hasn't come to grip with the Chickens. Well Roosters could lay eggs. NPR and MSNBC tell me so...PS you do see women in jeans, plad shirts, some with buzz cut hair, and funny hair color at Tractor Supply...Neon tint anyone?
Why am I getting a strong sense of Deja Vu here...?
🤔
🍄
I'm almost as relieved that TSC dropped DEI as I am disturbed that they had it to begin with
TSC stock is underperforming. It’ll be interesting to see where they are in a year.
I'm Nigerian and i have to ask why a tractor/machinery company would even get DEI policies at all😕 How exactly did it help them in any way?
Any company that shitcans this grift should be applauded. No matter what.
Well, TSC doesn’t have to obtain increasing foreign exchange reserves and shadow banking access for loans and other assets to repay debt in multiple foreign exchanges.
ESG is especially tied to debt and loan access, sustainability loans are granted by how ‘diverse’ the company is. And they have to do this widely and publicly. It cannot be pandering, it has to be approved by others.
It also means that an ESG company has to avoid deals with non-ESG companies. They have to hire women and diversity hires to make a difference. It has to show increasing awareness and balance across divisions. This improves the metrics used when applying for higher tier loans and higher tier sustainably loans with lower interest rates or mutual fund access for foreign exchange.
Why does domestic corporate policy hinge on how LGBTQ’s are treated throughout the world?
If TSC's CEO hasn't been fired for this, I'm not supporting it. This seems disingenuous and he'll just continue with the DEI shortly. That's just my opinion though, and I'll wait and see before spending money there again
I have reached my breaking point with Disney. An American institution it may be; however, I could care less if it fails.
Because it’s by design.
Judging by comments I read on videos on the subject, many still not get that it is, those people like commenting on it but have no real clue, while its open for all to see.
TSC took a decision that would be the best for their business, they know who is their client and took the decision that would keep them happy. You can agree or not with their decision, but you can't argue against it.
I find it hilarious that The Alphabet Mafia is whining about TSC's about face. Did they really think the queer agenda fits into everything? I didn't know coming out as gay destroyed your common sense.
Because Bob Iger is caught up in his own B.S. that's why.
