Vi's tattoo is a Roman Numeral 6 "VI" ... which also spells her name.. And, at least in the movie, her number was "Prisoner 5-1-6"... And "V" is 5, "I" is 1, and "VI" is "6"... so "VI" is kind of a cute / short way to short-hand "516" as well as spelling "Vi"

Moreover the girl in the cave fighting to some monster is Kaisa and the girl who summon the giant golem is Lux, strongest witch in Demacia(Another nation in Arcane world, bigger than Piltover)
Just to understand the significance of Lux doing what she did, by memory, they're part of a nation (Demacia) that absolutely abhors all forms of magic and will imprison/exile anyone who is even capable of using it. Garen, the guy with the big ass sword in the same scene (Who is her older brother) alongside everyone else is unaware she can use magic, but she's willing to risk exile to save them. The lore of this universe runs so damn deep that you'd never think it does looking at gameplay.
You can just listen to some of Caitlyn's interactions, it's hard to get all in one video. I believe they said they put in those subtle tense moments to make it clear that theres attraction between the two, and I think they said they didnt have a kiss scene in season one since they knew they'd have more time to develop their relationship in season 2 and they didnt wanna force it, especially since there really wasnt never a good time for a kiss in season one and they only knew each other for like 3 days (the reason I'm not saying 100%certain is just because I heard this and saw evidence from someone else, so it wasnt my research and I cant give you any links or whatever, but I believe it was posted on arcane twitter or something, sorry I dont have receipts tho)

So a bit of nerd info to give comment. "She is going to sacrifice herself" you said when the soldier was going to be hit. That is actually what happened in that cinematic. So the one knocked down was that lady's brother. They are part of an empire that is heavily opposed to magic and focus on stopping the arcane arts. She had hid her magical affinity from everybody. So by her using such powerful magic to save her brother, it brought in "Galio" which is their nation's anti magic defender. But it also made her a heretic/criminal in her own country and to her own family. For lore people, that scene is very significant.
If you like league or legends videos, you should see the opening ceremony "words 2013/2021 are approximately 8, and they go from the ugliest to the best for my taste! just in 2017 the best opening starts! and if you want to see ekko ship tru damage! it's animated!
