The lore of this cinematic: Fortress: the character with the chains is Sylas, an escaped prisoner from Demacia with anarchist political views. He's come north to the Freljord to seek aid for his revolt against the current Demacian king, Jarvan Lightshield IV. In exchange for aiding his rebellion, Sylas showed the Freljordian tribe Winter's Claw hidden paths into Demacia, which this fortress is protecting. A Demacian soldier, Garen Crownguard, led a battalion to defend the fortress, but if his sister Lux hadn't used her magic to call the Demacian colossus Galio to them, they would've been overrun. The deal Sylas made with the Winter's Claw is explored in the short story "The Shackles of Belief." Prison: the character in the opened cell is Urgot. He was imprisoned for instigating a riot in Zaun, the twin city of Piltover. His followers attempted to break him out, but they were stopped by Caitlyn, the Piltovan sheriff, and her partner, Vi. The story of Urgot's imprisonment is explored in the short story "Child of Zaun." Tomb: The boy with the gauntlet and blue face markings is Ezrael. He's a young explorer from Piltover who's come to this tomb in Icathia seeking an artifact called "The Tear of the Goddess." Ezrael finds the tear and removes it, unknowingly releasing Voidborn entities that the artifact was keeping dormant and triggering the tomb's defense mechanism, sealing him inside. He would've been eaten alive if Kai'Sa, a human/voidborn hybrid, hadn't bought him time to escape. In return, Ezrael helped Kai'Sa clear out the tomb of voidlings. The precise context of this story is unknown, but given Ezrael has been all over Runeterra (the world of League of Legends), it's a pretty safe bet he interacted with Kai'Sa at some point. EDIT: Apparently an important detail I neglected to mention about Sylas is that he’s a mage, and that Demacians have a racist view of mages in general. I didn’t think it was important to mention at the time because I thought “prisoner” pretty much summed up everything you would need to know about his backstory, not to mention I was trying to be brief without oversimplifying. Apparently I was wrong and ended triggering a few Sylas mains, so go figure. :/
Sylas was inprisoned in Demacia because of his magical abilities, also main reason Lux doesnt wanna use hers until she saw Garen was most likely going to die. Other than that you pretty much filled em in completely ^_^

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames It's actually explained in Kai'Sa's biography on Universe how she got this way: after her village was claimed by the Void, Kai'Sa was attacked by a voidling in a void-infested tunnel. She fought it off, but a piece of it was left embedded in her skin, which grew into a symbiotic exoskeleton. She actually has a really great quote in-game explaining what it's like: "You know that feeling when your skin crawls? Like a thousand needles poking through every pore? Blood pounding through every vein? That's just an itch compared to what lives on me."
Something cool about league is that there really isn't someone you're "supposed" to like, all characters have their own unique moral compasses and reason for doing the things they do. Sylas, the chain dude, is a mage that has been locked up by Demacia, for a long time, purely for being a Mage in a society that abhors magic, this is also why Lux, the light girl, hides her powers. Sylas actually helped lux accept herself for who she is, and in a sense is a very important mentor to her. However Sylas's crusade against Demacia is nearly as unforgiving Demacia's hatred against magic, and in a crucial moment, Lux had to make the difficult decision of protecting her brother and country or joining her mentor's rebellion.
Love to see people discovering the lore behind LoL! One thing to keep in mind though, this game has been around for about 12 years now, they've had A LOT of time for story telling. Not only do pretty much all 150+ playable characters have their own stories, theme song, and art; but their skins (alternate looks /costumes that you can buy for them) are treated as "alternate universe" versions of the character with their own stories too. Basically, LoL has positioned itself as "the Marvel universe of gaming", so you're on the edge of one hell of a rabbit hole here.
In league of legend the guy who summon the sword (sylas) can steal enemies’s ultimate abilities so in the cinematic he stole the ultimate ability of the guy with the big armor (garen) and try to kill it with but the girl (lux) sister of garen ask help to (galio) the protector of the city (demacia) and then lux start to cast his own ultimate

Ezreal, the explorer/ Indiana Jones-type character, is all about raiding tombs and stealing (or as he likes to call it "procuring") different treasures and artifacts from all over the world. He's gotten himself into trouble COUNTLESS times and nearly escapes every single time, but that's what he's all about! He's a thrill-seeking adventurer who loves dangerous and risky situations! He's also snobby and super self-centered, but deep inside truly cares about others- hence why he ultimately turned back to save Kai'Sa, the girl who helped him. It stems from his parents being well-known adventurers and them not coming back from one of their expeditions when he was just a kid. He knows that they're dead, but puts on this whole facade telling himself if he becomes famous and known by everyone, one day they will come back home to him.

not sure if anyone else explained this but the girl with the costume that saved the guy in the Indiana Jones/Aladdin scene is named Kai'Sa. she was kidnapped or lost to "the void" when she was a child but she was able to survive because she bonded with a "second skin" that is her suit, similar to Venom from the Spider-Man comics. the suit helps her survive and she helps the suit survive also, this video and Kai'Sa in particular is what got me to play League in the first place

Two of these characters, Caitlyn (sniper/riflewoman) and Vi (machine fists woman) alongside other characters you've seen in other cinematics appear in the Netflix series 'Arcane', which is adapted from the LoL universe which I'd definitely recommend to anyone, it is a really great tv series and a great way to learn about the LoL lore!
Yeah this is one of the first ones we ever saw for League of Legends. Arcane was a great series and very accessible for non players like us that don’t know the characters or world very well 😊😀

Vi (the girl with the machine fists) has a theme that they released when her character was revealed for the game and it's really cool because it sets up her personality. Not particularly worth making a video over as it's just a song, but if you like her character, it's worth listening to!

The guy with the chains was Sylas. Hes from the same country as the bro/sis. Basically the guy with the big sword at the beginning and the girl at the end are brother/sister and she’s had to hide her magic bc in their country magic is illegal, and sylas is leading a revolution bc even being a mage is illegal, like they’re imprisoned for having the ability to use magic. He also has the ability to sense magic and sensed it in upper class ranks of that country, from some of the most anti-magic people. He hates the hypocrisy and is going around gathering allies to lead a revolution.
Okay no one else had mentioned that he could sense magic in the anti-magic people before. We hate hypocrisy as well and it’s always those that push hate that usually are guilty of what they admonish. 😤

The league community absolutely does love to watch people unfamiliar with league react to various content. We've probably seen these videos dozens of times but we'll still go watch someone new to it all experience it, it's equally fun to see the reaction people have to the sudden rush of league folks popping by lmao hello! Other people have commented on what's going on within the video itself, and as far as videos in any certain order the comment from "Tentacle Hentai" about sums it up, though the Ruined King trailer after Kin of the Stained Blade wasn't mentioned. The order you watch videos mostly doesn't matter, but these do more than other videos mostly because they're tied in with Ruination/Viego plot that's taking place this year. Out of order is perfectly fine but personally I would still save Ruination as the last one you see among all the other named ones.
The girl with the staff who shot a a lazer of light into the sky is called Lux. She is part of prestigious family in Demacia (a kingdom). Magic is banned in Demacia and mages are hunted down and killed or locked up. Lux has magical powers herself but doesn't show them for obvious reasons. The dude with the chains is called Sylas, he is a mage that escaped from prison and led a rebellion against the kingdom of Demacia. The guy with the big sword is called Garen, Lux' brother, he's incredibly loyal and despises magic.
Actually, at this point Garen has accepted that Luxanna is a mage, after being in denial most of his life so much so that he repressed memories of her using magic. As for her outing herself in front of a number of Demacians, well, they're Crownguards, a family that has protected Demacian royalty for generations, Garen is a Dauntless Vanguard, a living legend, and Lux, aside from being very well liked, totally saved their asses; her secret may yet be safe.
As a new player of League, I loved seeing your reactions! I also discovered these videos very recently and I've been amazed at the polish they have. I can wholeheartedly recommend another League of Legends cinematic called "New Dawn". It's an older one but definitely a good one if you ask me. Mister bad guy's ultimately ability is to steal abilities from others. You can catch this moment in a video. So he tried to beat good guy with god guy's big appearing sword.
To start Sylas, the Chain guy, his "thing" is literally stealing magic, he is from Demacia of the Valoran continent,and Demacia Hates like no kidding it hates magicians cause of the Runic War that devastated Runeterra, also that gigantic rock thing that appeared thats Galio, he is made of Petricite that is a mineral that absorbs magic and he was created by Durand from Demacia, and since i said about Demacia hating magician´s, Lux Crownguard, the blondie, has to hide her powers since if Demacia finds out she will get in a great problem and her brother Garen Crownguard (the guy with the sword that fights Sylas). Second the Ugly guy with spider legs thats Urgot he is a noxian and he used to be the executioner of Noxus, and he is a imprisioned in the Dragado prision at Zaun that is in the bottom part of Piltover the city of progress, the two women that fight him are Sherrif Caitlyn the one with the hat and the sniper and the one and only Vi with her hextech Gaunlets. Third, the sexy girl that fires purple flares thats Kai´sa she is from Icathia that was in the Shuriman continent before it was destroyed by the Void and that "armor" she has is an actual voidling that she kild and the DNA of the creature fused with her skin and created that second skin she has, also that Thief that appears is Ezreal, the Gaunlet he uses it belonged to the Ascended Warrior Nezuk from the Shuriman Empire and the thing he steals is the Goddess´s Tear an actual item of League game and those creatures that attack Ezreal are voidlings creatures from the Void

I love your energy guys. Definitely follow the suggestion of dark passage(really short one, do it with the next one), climb, shadows embrace, ruination. Only then they will make sense. The world of League of Legends is a vast world. There is magic, void, steampunk, chempunk, asian influence, frozen tundra and lots more places in it. Every character is created with big backstories and lore. Their in game abilities embody their power fantasies. Green spider legged gun dude is Urgot, a madman with a cult following him. Sniper lady is Caitlyn, the sheriff of Piltover (advanced technology steampunk meets magic place). Gauntlet lady is Vi, a Piltoven enforcer. Blonde guy who takes the crystal is Ezreal, he raids ancient sites to collect anything and uses a gauntlet that lets him shoot like an arrow and bow. Purple "sexy" lady is Kai'Sa a regular human lost in Void (all consuming dimension) and wore a Void creature that now she is in a symbiotic relationship with (think of Venom of Marvel franchise). Blonde light mage lady is Lux. She is a royal in a kingdom with strict anti magic rules. So she hides her powers till the last second. Buff guy with a sword is her brother Garen who is basically a hero of his people. The chain guy is Sylas. He is a mage with the ability to steal and use other peoples magic. The guy with the chains is Sylas, his main ability is to "steal" or copy others magic abilities and also identifying other magical beings(mages,etc). Thats why he pulled a sword out of nowhere, to explain this the guy he was fighting(Garen), is using a magic absorbing armor and i think weapon so he basically took a magical copy of the sword out of it.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames A New Dawn has one of the best music scores of these cinematics. The sound effects and music are crazy good. And it's one the best representations of the actual game, since it's just 10 champions split into two teams, each one trying to decimate the other.
I think there is not a cinematic about new pantheon fighting aatrox but at least you can watch a content creator telling that history. One of the best ones. Btw nice vid i´m gonna keep watching your reaction vids.
Fort Attack: The Girl and the Buff dude with sword are Lux and Garen who are siblings and noblemen / royalty from the country of Demacia which was established by people who have suffered under the tyrany of mages drunk on power in the past as such nowadays the Demacians have racist prejudice against all mages and hunt, kill and/or imprison them. Demcaians craft weapons of a material called petricide which has the ability to absorb and store magic (this ability is unknown the majority of Demacians and all they are told that patricide "nullifies" magic) Lux is secretly a mage where only her family knows she is one and has to hide her abilities or else it would come off as that the nobles hide the mages that are born in their families but persecute the commoners without mercy Man with chains is called Sylas and he was imprisoned as boy because he had magic, in the prison he was chained down with those chains on his hands which are made of Petricide with the help of the naive Lux he managed to unravel the secrets of Petricide and learned to tap in to the patricide and access the stored magic and using that he escaped prison as he was about to be executed because Lux touched him and he absorbed her magic He then led a rebellion against demacians, some stuff happened and he was forced to retreat north where he sought the help of the barbarian tribes there in return for their help he promised them a way in to Demacian lands hence they are storming the Fort The big statue that came down is called Galio and is also made of Patricide and by absorbing large amount of magic he can come back to life. He was crafted by a famous Demacian sculptor and large armies would drag Galio on the battlefield to serve as a dampening device against mages and because Lux has massive magical capabilities she can breath life in to Galio (no one but Lux knows currently that Galio can come back to life there are some legends of it happening but most are skeptical of these legends and are seen as fairy tales to boost morale or propaganda to further the Demacian beliefs)

So the scenes: - Castle on the snow was the Demacian border. Demacia is a nation based on military heritage. Originally, they were formed as a safe haven from particularlly destructive magic, but over the generations, that sentiment was warped to a distrust of magic and mages, to the point where they would imprison and try to "cure" those who had it. The chain dude is a mage that started a mage rebelion after being imprisioned for years. Like, he's fighting for the right thing, but he's also a psycopath. - The prision with the big steampunk dudes is Piltover. Piltover is the "City of Progress", steampunk vibes and all, but their pursuit of technology results in Zaun, a more cyberpunk aesthetic of polution, and all the bad things that are either wastes of Piltover, or things that wouldn't be accepted there. The big ugly guy is a dude that was sent to Zaun to die, spent days fearing for what was coming to him, and when he survived, he was changed. He now cuts through the bullshit of people that hold onto power by fear, and becouse of that, becomes the most fearsome dude out there, while also inadvertently drawing in a cult of the downtrodden. - Lastly, sexy lady in the ruin is somewhere in Shurima. Shurima is this Egypt analog (big desert with animal-headed deities that fell from grace thousands of years ago), and has a lot of ruins. It is also plagued by the Void, a space outside reality with cosmic horror inspirations. The blonde dude is a kid that wants to become the greatest explorer, and happened to find super powered magical glove that allows him to blink from place to place a shoot magic, but he's still clueless and overconfident, and doesn't really think things through. The Sexy Lady was lost in the Void as a child and managed to survive as the host for a Void parasite (which is her suit) that gives her the ability to fight back. She's distractingly sexy, as she's supposed to be a grizzled survivor, and she's also supposed to be seen as a monster by whoever sees her, and both of your first thoughts were "Wow, she's sexy"
@Zoli Makky how is "It's a fantasy world" a justification for her being sexy? Being raised from puberty to mid-twenties in terrible inhospitable place by herself and having a parasite as a second skin is very much a fantasy premise, and it is very much inconsistent with having perfect skin, hair and makeup for some goddamn reason. You can like her, enjoy her sexyness, her playstyle, her kit or whatever kinship you have by saying she's the best champ, but her sexyness is inconsistent with her premise.

OMG I'm dying Also for something a little different speed, I highly recommend the music videos from Pentakill, LOL's metal band. I'm not even a metal fan and they are really good. The cinematic crew from Riot really are masters of making compelling videos.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames It is not actually in the league universe. In the game theres alot of skin lines, basically a bunch of skins for many different champions who share the same key-word. These skins usually exist in their own little alternate universes, so the champions can appear in multiple different settings. "True Damage" is the less popular version of "KDA" which is the big Kpop thing league did. They share "cinematic universe" which is basically just our world and the champions are pop stars which isall basically just an ad campaign with expencive cinematics for the skins in the game which people can buy with real money. They do have alotof cinematics who take place in the actual league of legends universe, like this one you've reacted to.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames KDA was initiated as a pilot project to promote/hype up the world championship in korea (that's why they made it a kpop styled group) but that concept got such a huge hit they continued it and I also recomment to check out the opening ceremonies when you get into the music videos- the ceremonies are a banger too! They give amazings shows (almost concerts and as you can see in the videos with the "ft." sign what kind of real pop stars sing for the characters they cast to ensure the song is a masterpiece and they give also real performances at the world championships) and hype up the community even more - what I personally love about these music groups of LOL is, that they combine different languages in the songs(lyrics) and promote individuality and it is always a banger - even if it is not your genre you can tell that this is good stuff and a lot of hard work and effort was put into it - so many people love it and are brought together regardless of nationalities, gender or status. I love how multicultural that is and everybody can enjoy it. KDA: they star the female champions Ahri (nine tailed Fox- basic form shown in cinematic "A New Dawn"), Evelynn (Demon fed of Agony), Kai'Sa (Daughter of the Void- basic form shown in cinematic "Warriors") and Akali (ninja assassin - basic form shown in cinematic "Awaken") in the debut and later Seraphine(Singer of "Hope") joins and is introduced with the later song "More"(world championship in China with 10 year anniversary of the LOL game). They also try to be consistent in who sings the specific character like Akali is always sung by Soyeon or Evelynn by Madison Beere and so on... very amazing art work is the solo song "villian" of Evelynn were the animators flex their abilies in the "concept video". The song is also a banger, like most KDA songs but this one is darker and more up my alley ;) KDA in general is the first group project and a kpop genre while True Damage debuted one year later(world championship in Paris) and has only (the very successful and nice song with different art style) one song so far with rap. I am not into rap usually, but this is really a banger and to be recommended to check out and as always the video is on point with the music! All groups have their own set of skins - for KDA to let them look like popstars instead of champs in a game - but both groups sing about playing and their abilities (also visually used in the videos) so it is useful to know the champs to understand why these songs are a work of art and put so well together (visually , musically and lyrically). So, start with the cinematics to get the characters to know and then go into the music group universe ;) which is also amazing on their own but if you have more background information it will get even better :D Have fun !
Warriors 2020 is also a remix of Warriors 2014, the 2014 version is made by imagine dragons and it was create to promote the 2014 league of legends championship tournament. It could be a good follow up to this as it's related.
I'm not 100% sure about it but I believe the reason Lux (the mage who summoned the big dude) hid her power is because of how Demacians see mages like herself. Demacians despise mages and Sylas (chain boi) is one of those mages who was locked up and now seems revenge for the crimes committed against his people (mages).

The Music Videos of KDA More and Popstar are also from the League of Legends and so awesome. KDA is based on League of Legends Champions, but it doesn‘t takes place in the League Univers. KDA is a virtuell K-Pop Band, with a hole background story.

True Damage is a different band a K/DA team member put together and the dj of that band helps write K/DA music according to the lore. currently they only have 1 song Giants.

Basically just a period when mages all over the world were obtaining stronger and stronger magics to destroy eachother with. There is a cinematic called "Call of Power" which is about a champion from this period called Ryze whos goal it is to hide ancient relics from the Rune Wars away from the world.
The girl with shotgun was Caitlyn she is the sherrif of a city named Piltover. The girl with iron gloves was Vi. She work with Caitlyn to stop criminals. The guy with four legs was Urgot. He was a general in Noxus who is a kingdom. He was betrayed by the kingdom. They stuck him in a place and tortured him. Then Urgot replaced some body parts with robotic ones and he became a formidable weapon.
The character with chains is Sylas. In Demacia (that white city) mages are persecuted and imprisoned, and Sylas has been in jail for a long time until he was finally sentenced to death. In all that time he grew a cool weird friendship with Luxanna Crownguard (the blond girl) who belongs to a known and respected Demacian family but is secretly a mage. Long story short, Sylas’ execution never happened, because he had learned that his chains (and actually the entire city) were made with a material that didn’t just repel magic as he thought, but absorbed it instead. With that knowledge, he was able to absorb Luxanna’s power and use it to free himself. After that, he raised an army of mage rebels and waged war to the city. So he’s actually the only one who can “create weapons”, because he absorbed the other guy’s power (he’s Garen, Luxanna’s brother).
That’s cool. We’ve been told he absorbed people’s abilities but didn’t know about the chains involvement with that or that the city absorbed magic. Interesting! 😃😃

The blonde at the end, her lore is that magic is forbidden in her country. This is the first moment her brother, (big guy with sword) and her people see she is magical. She is uncertain if she will be imprisoned after this. The first beam of light into the air, actually awoke Galio, the stone bat guy at the end.

Actually, excluding some of the champions (like Kindred, Nunu & Willump, Cho'gath, Kog'Maw, and Nocturne), there are roughly twice as many male champions in the game than female champions.
@@bloodknyte 60% are male, but thats pretty much only leftovers from ages ago because they've been releasing alot more female champions than male champions the last years. It has kind of lead to the problem that alot of them feel samey, but ultimately the difference in gender numbers boil down to all non-human or human-passing champions being male. Like every time they decide to do something crazy and unattractive it's a male character, like Bard, Ivern, Ornn, Tahm, Fiddle, and so on. And thats because those types of champions don't sell alot of skins in general, while female champions for some reason sell alot of skins but only when they're humanoid and pretty, so they've ended up pumping out female champions as money horses while leaving male champions with the crazy but not necessarily good ideas. This is of course also why the animalistic champions look vastly different depending on gender. The male yordes for example look like legit animals while the female ones look alot more human with seperate hairstyles and so on. Same when you compare something like Ornn and Volibear to something like Lillia and Shyvana, Ornn and Volibear and noticably non-human in every way, something that is only reflected on Rek-sai and Anivia for the female champions. Even with KIndred themselves we see this. Wolf is just a flying wolf head and male, while the Lamb is kinda curvy and obviously female. So I feel like the male to female ratio is kinda skewed for that reason. Practically all female champions feel very human and obviously female, while half the male champions are animals and monsters of various sizes.
@@vergil8833 yeah, some of that is cultural bias towards who they are marketing the game too and some of it is that it’s a bit harder to pull off full on monster creatures that are female that still invoke the fear they are normally meant to employ. I mean, think what If Warwick was a female. I’m sure they could find a great female voice to it but if you stood them side by side and compared them and asked which one you preferred I’m willing to bet the majority would pick male Warwick over female. Idk, that’s just my opinion on what I see.
@@FrostyKings Well, on the ones that are supposed to be kind of scary that applies. It's the same reason why most horror movie bad guys are men. But the majority of non-human league characters aren't actually supposed to be scary, like Ornn and Bard and Ivern and so on. I don't actually have a problem with this uneven treatment of the champions, but it is an explanation as to why it is uneven. I think a bigger issue with these modern female champions is that they all fall into two personality types. "I don't neeed no man" butch girls and bubbly quirky girls. Theres no much variety which is probably why they've started to use accent alot more for the illusion of uniqueness. And the problem itself stems from the modern female character issue in games and cinema where they're not allowed to have flaws because they need to be better than their male counterparts in order to be as far away from a damsel in distress as possible for social political reasons. While male characters are allowed more variety because of it.
The moment where Ezreal stops and is like "shit, I can't believe I'm doing this" then turns around and charges back in to save Kai'Sa. And Lux finally deciding to show her powers is showing how she will not stand by while people get hurt, her loved ones in particular.

Disclaimer: Very new to the channel, and been a League player since 2012. I love your enthusiasm to the lore! Hope you have fun with all of League’s cinematics and the extensive lore! A bit of advice though. You’ll encounter “Skin cinematics” eventually and it might confuse you. So here’s a little explanation. League in it’s core is a game, and they have playable characters called champions. These champions have their lore, from which the majority of the cinematics and other media (comics, short stories) derive from. Then, there are skins, which are cosmetics that “enhance” the look of champions in-game and give different visual and audio effects that spice things up. These are of course, bought, either with stuff you earn by playing, or with real world money. To hype or prime the player base for these skins, Riot (the gaming company behind League) releases cinematics and other content about the these skins. Basically, “Skin Lore” is not related to the original lore, and is just a side story. An alternate reality if you will. If you read this comment until the end, thank you, and I hope it made sense because English is not my first language.

So they guys with the chains (his name is sylas) can copy the weapons of his enemies. If you watch closely when he blocks the sword attack from Garen, you can see him taking in the energy to copy his sword. Another thing is that Lux (the girl with magic powers) hid her abilities because mages technically are not allowed in Demacia (where they are from). I hope this clears things up a little!
the guy with the chains is named Sylas and she held back because I think they like each other but then he lunched that attack which betrays their friendship, i think that's how the story goes
I hope that you get the story behind the cinematics characters, it will add depth to why they are doing what they are doing. Lux, the woman in the beginning, lives in a land where magic is illegal, but she is a mage. Incredibly powerful one too. But she hides it as a noble. The big guy with the sword is her brother Garan, defender of Damacia. The guy with the chains is Sylas, also a mage, that was imprisoned in Damacia but freed from jail illegally by Lux. He basically came back to get revenge and free all of the other mages. Lux decided to use that wand to channel her magic, which alerted the guardian of Damacia, Gallio (the massive living stone statue). She was also worried that everyone would turn on her, but as the ending showed, they all have her back.
We’ve been learning more as people share it with us. Most seem to describe the Fortress scene but others have described Kai’Sa to us as well. Haven’t gotten as much on the steampunk world though we have gotten some info on it 🤓

The prison was holding Urgot, a character so powerful in the game that he can often single-handedly win matches, was locked up after doing some pretty bad criminal things. The woman in the hat was Caitlyn, the sheriff of Piltover, the steampunk world. They came to stop the Urgot followers from releasing him, and her partner Vi with the fists was beating them up, but he was still released. He basically is as strong as he looks. But they were able to barely beat him by knocking off his breathing mask

The lore of this cinematic:
Fortress: the character with the chains is Sylas, an escaped prisoner from Demacia with anarchist political views. He's come north to the Freljord to seek aid for his revolt against the current Demacian king, Jarvan Lightshield IV. In exchange for aiding his rebellion, Sylas showed the Freljordian tribe Winter's Claw hidden paths into Demacia, which this fortress is protecting. A Demacian soldier, Garen Crownguard, led a battalion to defend the fortress, but if his sister Lux hadn't used her magic to call the Demacian colossus Galio to them, they would've been overrun. The deal Sylas made with the Winter's Claw is explored in the short story "The Shackles of Belief."
Prison: the character in the opened cell is Urgot. He was imprisoned for instigating a riot in Zaun, the twin city of Piltover. His followers attempted to break him out, but they were stopped by Caitlyn, the Piltovan sheriff, and her partner, Vi. The story of Urgot's imprisonment is explored in the short story "Child of Zaun."
Tomb: The boy with the gauntlet and blue face markings is Ezrael. He's a young explorer from Piltover who's come to this tomb in Icathia seeking an artifact called "The Tear of the Goddess." Ezrael finds the tear and removes it, unknowingly releasing Voidborn entities that the artifact was keeping dormant and triggering the tomb's defense mechanism, sealing him inside. He would've been eaten alive if Kai'Sa, a human/voidborn hybrid, hadn't bought him time to escape. In return, Ezrael helped Kai'Sa clear out the tomb of voidlings. The precise context of this story is unknown, but given Ezrael has been all over Runeterra (the world of League of Legends), it's a pretty safe bet he interacted with Kai'Sa at some point.
EDIT: Apparently an important detail I neglected to mention about Sylas is that he’s a mage, and that Demacians have a racist view of mages in general. I didn’t think it was important to mention at the time because I thought “prisoner” pretty much summed up everything you would need to know about his backstory, not to mention I was trying to be brief without oversimplifying. Apparently I was wrong and ended triggering a few Sylas mains, so go figure. :/
Sylas was inprisoned in Demacia because of his magical abilities, also main reason Lux doesnt wanna use hers until she saw Garen was most likely going to die. Other than that you pretty much filled em in completely ^_^

She fought it off, but a piece of it was left embedded in her skin, which grew into a symbiotic exoskeleton. She actually has a really great quote in-game explaining what it's like: "You know that feeling when your skin crawls? Like a thousand needles poking through every pore? Blood pounding through every vein? That's just an itch compared to what lives on me."
Maybe im wrong but actually Jarvan IV is a prince of demacia and the current king is his father Jarvan III
Something cool about league is that there really isn't someone you're "supposed" to like, all characters have their own unique moral compasses and reason for doing the things they do. Sylas, the chain dude, is a mage that has been locked up by Demacia, for a long time, purely for being a Mage in a society that abhors magic, this is also why Lux, the light girl, hides her powers. Sylas actually helped lux accept herself for who she is, and in a sense is a very important mentor to her. However Sylas's crusade against Demacia is nearly as unforgiving Demacia's hatred against magic, and in a crucial moment, Lux had to make the difficult decision of protecting her brother and country or joining her mentor's rebellion.

Love to see people discovering the lore behind LoL! One thing to keep in mind though, this game has been around for about 12 years now, they've had A LOT of time for story telling. Not only do pretty much all 150+ playable characters have their own stories, theme song, and art; but their skins (alternate looks /costumes that you can buy for them) are treated as "alternate universe" versions of the character with their own stories too.
Basically, LoL has positioned itself as "the Marvel universe of gaming", so you're on the edge of one hell of a rabbit hole here.

She was hiding her powers, because magic had been outlawed. That was her in a desperate moment, and resorting to her powers which she had been hiding.
Ezreal, the explorer/ Indiana Jones-type character, is all about raiding tombs and stealing (or as he likes to call it "procuring") different treasures and artifacts from all over the world. He's gotten himself into trouble COUNTLESS times and nearly escapes every single time, but that's what he's all about! He's a thrill-seeking adventurer who loves dangerous and risky situations!
He's also snobby and super self-centered, but deep inside truly cares about others- hence why he ultimately turned back to save Kai'Sa, the girl who helped him. It stems from his parents being well-known adventurers and them not coming back from one of their expeditions when he was just a kid. He knows that they're dead, but puts on this whole facade telling himself if he becomes famous and known by everyone, one day they will come back home to him.

not sure if anyone else explained this but the girl with the costume that saved the guy in the Indiana Jones/Aladdin scene is named Kai'Sa. she was kidnapped or lost to "the void" when she was a child but she was able to survive because she bonded with a "second skin" that is her suit, similar to Venom from the Spider-Man comics. the suit helps her survive and she helps the suit survive
also, this video and Kai'Sa in particular is what got me to play League in the first place

Two of these characters, Caitlyn (sniper/riflewoman) and Vi (machine fists woman) alongside other characters you've seen in other cinematics appear in the Netflix series 'Arcane', which is adapted from the LoL universe which I'd definitely recommend to anyone, it is a really great tv series and a great way to learn about the LoL lore!
Yeah this is one of the first ones we ever saw for League of Legends. Arcane was a great series and very accessible for non players like us that don’t know the characters or world very well 😊😀
You two are adorable. Any and all of the league cinematics are amazing. If you want to have your feelings tugged at or hitting the darker side of League the "Annie" cinematic is dark and so moving. Keep up the great work.

Vi (the girl with the machine fists) has a theme that they released when her character was revealed for the game and it's really cool because it sets up her personality. Not particularly worth making a video over as it's just a song, but if you like her character, it's worth listening to!

The guy with the chains was Sylas. Hes from the same country as the bro/sis. Basically the guy with the big sword at the beginning and the girl at the end are brother/sister and she’s had to hide her magic bc in their country magic is illegal, and sylas is leading a revolution bc even being a mage is illegal, like they’re imprisoned for having the ability to use magic. He also has the ability to sense magic and sensed it in upper class ranks of that country, from some of the most anti-magic people. He hates the hypocrisy and is going around gathering allies to lead a revolution.
Okay no one else had mentioned that he could sense magic in the anti-magic people before. We hate hypocrisy as well and it’s always those that push hate that usually are guilty of what they admonish. 😤

The league community absolutely does love to watch people unfamiliar with league react to various content. We've probably seen these videos dozens of times but we'll still go watch someone new to it all experience it, it's equally fun to see the reaction people have to the sudden rush of league folks popping by lmao hello!
Other people have commented on what's going on within the video itself, and as far as videos in any certain order the comment from "Tentacle Hentai" about sums it up, though the Ruined King trailer after Kin of the Stained Blade wasn't mentioned. The order you watch videos mostly doesn't matter, but these do more than other videos mostly because they're tied in with Ruination/Viego plot that's taking place this year. Out of order is perfectly fine but personally I would still save Ruination as the last one you see among all the other named ones.

The girl with the staff who shot a a lazer of light into the sky is called Lux. She is part of prestigious family in Demacia (a kingdom). Magic is banned in Demacia and mages are hunted down and killed or locked up. Lux has magical powers herself but doesn't show them for obvious reasons. The dude with the chains is called Sylas, he is a mage that escaped from prison and led a rebellion against the kingdom of Demacia. The guy with the big sword is called Garen, Lux' brother, he's incredibly loyal and despises magic.

Actually, at this point Garen has accepted that Luxanna is a mage, after being in denial most of his life so much so that he repressed memories of her using magic. As for her outing herself in front of a number of Demacians, well, they're Crownguards, a family that has protected Demacian royalty for generations, Garen is a Dauntless Vanguard, a living legend, and Lux, aside from being very well liked, totally saved their asses; her secret may yet be safe.
As a new player of League, I loved seeing your reactions! I also discovered these videos very recently and I've been amazed at the polish they have.
I can wholeheartedly recommend another League of Legends cinematic called "New Dawn". It's an older one but definitely a good one if you ask me. Not sure if someone has suggested this already in the comments.

To start Sylas, the Chain guy, his "thing" is literally stealing magic, he is from Demacia of the Valoran continent,and Demacia Hates like no kidding it hates magicians cause of the Runic War that devastated Runeterra, also that gigantic rock thing that appeared thats Galio, he is made of Petricite that is a mineral that absorbs magic and he was created by Durand from Demacia, and since i said about Demacia hating magician´s, Lux Crownguard, the blondie, has to hide her powers since if Demacia finds out she will get in a great problem and her brother Garen Crownguard (the guy with the sword that fights Sylas).
Second the Ugly guy with spider legs thats Urgot he is a noxian and he used to be the executioner of Noxus, and he is a imprisioned in the Dragado prision at Zaun that is in the bottom part of Piltover the city of progress, the two women that fight him are Sherrif Caitlyn the one with the hat and the sniper and the one and only Vi with her hextech Gaunlets.
Third, the sexy girl that fires purple flares thats Kai´sa she is from Icathia that was in the Shuriman continent before it was destroyed by the Void and that "armor" she has is an actual voidling that she kild and the DNA of the creature fused with her skin and created that second skin she has, also that Thief that appears is Ezreal, the Gaunlet he uses it belonged to the Ascended Warrior Nezuk from the Shuriman Empire and the thing he steals is the Goddess´s Tear an actual item of League game and those creatures that attack Ezreal are voidlings creatures from the Void

The world of League of Legends is a vast world. There is magic, void, steampunk, chempunk, asian influence, frozen tundra and lots more places in it. Every character is created with big backstories and lore. Their in game abilities embody their power fantasies. Green spider legged gun dude is Urgot, a madman with a cult following him. Sniper lady is Caitlyn, the sheriff of Piltover (advanced technology steampunk meets magic place). Gauntlet lady is Vi, a Piltoven enforcer. Blonde guy who takes the crystal is Ezreal, he raids ancient sites to collect anything and uses a gauntlet that lets him shoot like an arrow and bow. Purple "sexy" lady is Kai'Sa a regular human lost in Void (all consuming dimension) and wore a Void creature that now she is in a symbiotic relationship with (think of Venom of Marvel franchise). Blonde light mage lady is Lux. She is a royal in a kingdom with strict anti magic rules. So she hides her powers till the last second. Buff guy with a sword is her brother Garen who is basically a hero of his people. The chain guy is Sylas. He is a mage with the ability to steal and use other peoples magic. The sword he summons actually comes from the special steel of the blade he is struct with.

The guy with the chains is Sylas, his main ability is to "steal" or copy others magic abilities and also identifying other magical beings(mages,etc).
Thats why he pulled a sword out of nowhere, to explain this the guy he was fighting(Garen), is using a magic absorbing armor and i think weapon so he basically took a magical copy of the sword out of it.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames A New Dawn has one of the best music scores of these cinematics. The sound effects and music are crazy good. And it's one the best representations of the actual game, since it's just 10 champions split into two teams, each one trying to decimate the other.
I think there is not a cinematic about new pantheon fighting aatrox but at least you can watch a content creator telling that history. One of the best ones. Btw nice vid i´m gonna keep watching your reaction vids.

Fort Attack: The Girl and the Buff dude with sword are Lux and Garen who are siblings and noblemen / royalty from the country of Demacia which was established by people who have suffered under the tyrany of mages drunk on power in the past as such nowadays the Demacians have racist prejudice against all mages and hunt, kill and/or imprison them.
Demcaians craft weapons of a material called petricide which has the ability to absorb and store magic (this ability is unknown the majority of Demacians and all they are told that patricide "nullifies" magic)
Lux is secretly a mage where only her family knows she is one and has to hide her abilities or else it would come off as that the nobles hide the mages that are born in their families but persecute the commoners without mercy
Man with chains is called Sylas and he was imprisoned as boy because he had magic, in the prison he was chained down with those chains on his hands which are made of Petricide with the help of the naive Lux he managed to unravel the secrets of Petricide and learned to tap in to the patricide and access the stored magic and using that he escaped prison as he was about to be executed because Lux touched him and he absorbed her magic
He then led a rebellion against demacians, some stuff happened and he was forced to retreat north where he sought the help of the barbarian tribes there in return for their help he promised them a way in to Demacian lands hence they are storming the Fort
The big statue that came down is called Galio and is also made of Patricide and by absorbing large amount of magic he can come back to life. He was crafted by a famous Demacian sculptor and large armies would drag Galio on the battlefield to serve as a dampening device against mages and because Lux has massive magical capabilities she can breath life in to Galio (no one but Lux knows currently that Galio can come back to life there are some legends of it happening but most are skeptical of these legends and are seen as fairy tales to boost morale or propaganda to further the Demacian beliefs)

Guy with the chains is Sylas - he can steal ultimate abilities. When Garen hit him he stole his sword ultimate.
Guy fighting the void creatures is Ezreal and he uses his magic bow to hit things. Ezreal is known for spamming in game he needs a tear to get strong so it was an added inside joke thing.
The girl in the end is Garen's sister. She fired the the beam in the air to summon Galio the big thing at the end. When her wand spins and eyes change colours she is about to use her ultimate

So the scenes:
- Castle on the snow was the Demacian border. Demacia is a nation based on military heritage. Originally, they were formed as a safe haven from particularlly destructive magic, but over the generations, that sentiment was warped to a distrust of magic and mages, to the point where they would imprison and try to "cure" those who had it. The chain dude is a mage that started a mage rebelion after being imprisioned for years. Like, he's fighting for the right thing, but he's also a psycopath.
- The prision with the big steampunk dudes is Piltover. Piltover is the "City of Progress", steampunk vibes and all, but their pursuit of technology results in Zaun, a more cyberpunk aesthetic of polution, and all the bad things that are either wastes of Piltover, or things that wouldn't be accepted there. The big ugly guy is a dude that was sent to Zaun to die, spent days fearing for what was coming to him, and when he survived, he was changed. He now cuts through the bullshit of people that hold onto power by fear, and becouse of that, becomes the most fearsome dude out there, while also inadvertently drawing in a cult of the downtrodden.
- Lastly, sexy lady in the ruin is somewhere in Shurima. Shurima is this Egypt analog (big desert with animal-headed deities that fell from grace thousands of years ago), and has a lot of ruins. It is also plagued by the Void, a space outside reality with cosmic horror inspirations. The blonde dude is a kid that wants to become the greatest explorer, and happened to find super powered magical glove that allows him to blink from place to place a shoot magic, but he's still clueless and overconfident, and doesn't really think things through. The Sexy Lady was lost in the Void as a child and managed to survive as the host for a Void parasite (which is her suit) that gives her the ability to fight back. She's distractingly sexy, as she's supposed to be a grizzled survivor, and she's also supposed to be seen as a monster by whoever sees her, and both of your first thoughts were "Wow, she's sexy"

@Zoli Makky how is "It's a fantasy world" a justification for her being sexy? Being raised from puberty to mid-twenties in terrible inhospitable place by herself and having a parasite as a second skin is very much a fantasy premise, and it is very much inconsistent with having perfect skin, hair and makeup for some goddamn reason. You can like her, enjoy her sexyness, her playstyle, her kit or whatever kinship you have by saying she's the best champ, but her sexyness is inconsistent with her premise.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames It is not actually in the league universe. In the game theres alot of skin lines, basically a bunch of skins for many different champions who share the same key-word. These skins usually exist in their own little alternate universes, so the champions can appear in multiple different settings. "True Damage" is the less popular version of "KDA" which is the big Kpop thing league did. They share "cinematic universe" which is basically just our world and the champions are pop stars which isall basically just an ad campaign with expencive cinematics for the skins in the game which people can buy with real money.
They do have alotof cinematics who take place in the actual league of legends universe, like this one you've reacted to.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames KDA was initiated as a pilot project to promote/hype up the world championship in korea (that's why they made it a kpop styled group) but that concept got such a huge hit they continued it and I also recomment to check out the opening ceremonies when you get into the music videos- the ceremonies are a banger too! They give amazings shows (almost concerts and as you can see in the videos with the "ft." sign what kind of real pop stars sing for the characters they cast to ensure the song is a masterpiece and they give also real performances at the world championships) and hype up the community even more - what I personally love about these music groups of LOL is, that they combine different languages in the songs(lyrics) and promote individuality and it is always a banger - even if it is not your genre you can tell that this is good stuff and a lot of hard work and effort was put into it - so many people love it and are brought together regardless of nationalities, gender or status. I love how multicultural that is and everybody can enjoy it.
KDA: they star the female champions Ahri (nine tailed Fox- basic form shown in cinematic "A New Dawn"), Evelynn (Demon fed of Agony), Kai'Sa (Daughter of the Void- basic form shown in cinematic "Warriors") and Akali (ninja assassin - basic form shown in cinematic "Awaken") in the debut and later Seraphine(Singer of "Hope") joins and is introduced with the later song "More"(world championship in China with 10 year anniversary of the LOL game). They also try to be consistent in who sings the specific character like Akali is always sung by Soyeon or Evelynn by Madison Beere and so on... very amazing art work is the solo song "villian" of Evelynn were the animators flex their abilies in the "concept video". The song is also a banger, like most KDA songs but this one is darker and more up my alley ;) KDA in general is the first group project and a kpop genre
while True Damage debuted one year later(world championship in Paris) and has only (the very successful and nice song with different art style) one song so far with rap. I am not into rap usually, but this is really a banger and to be recommended to check out and as always the video is on point with the music! All groups have their own set of skins - for KDA to let them look like popstars instead of champs in a game - but both groups sing about playing and their abilities (also visually used in the videos) so it is useful to know the champs to understand why these songs are a work of art and put so well together (visually , musically and lyrically). So, start with the cinematics to get the characters to know and then go into the music group universe ;) which is also amazing on their own but if you have more background information it will get even better :D Have fun !
Warriors 2020 is also a remix of Warriors 2014, the 2014 version is made by imagine dragons and it was create to promote the 2014 league of legends championship tournament. It could be a good follow up to this as it's related.

I'm not 100% sure about it but I believe the reason Lux (the mage who summoned the big dude) hid her power is because of how Demacians see mages like herself. Demacians despise mages and Sylas (chain boi) is one of those mages who was locked up and now seems revenge for the crimes committed against his people (mages).

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames but also bcs at that moment she didnt had a wand or staff , she picked up from one of the invaders. that scene is after the exodus of Demacia, every soldier there knew who Lux was and they are kind of banished from Demacia for helping mages to escape death .
Making weapons appear is just magic. Some characters can do it, regardless of good or bad.
The Music Videos of KDA More and Popstar are also from the League of Legends and so awesome. KDA is based on League of Legends Champions, but it doesn‘t takes place in the League Univers. KDA is a virtuell K-Pop Band, with a hole background story.

The Baddest features the whole group, and the next 3 are character songs: Villains for Evelynn, Drum Go Dum for Kai'Sa, and I'll Show You for Ahri. True Damage is a different band a K/DA team member put together and the dj of that band helps write K/DA music according to the lore. currently they only have 1 song Giants.

Basically just a period when mages all over the world were obtaining stronger and stronger magics to destroy eachother with. There is a cinematic called "Call of Power" which is about a champion from this period called Ryze whos goal it is to hide ancient relics from the Rune Wars away from the world.

The girl with shotgun was Caitlyn she is the sherrif of a city named Piltover. The girl with iron gloves was Vi. She work with Caitlyn to stop criminals. The guy with four legs was Urgot. He was a general in Noxus who is a kingdom. He was betrayed by the kingdom. They stuck him in a place and tortured him. Then Urgot replaced some body parts with robotic ones and he became a formidable weapon.

The character with chains is Sylas. In Demacia (that white city) mages are persecuted and imprisoned, and Sylas has been in jail for a long time until he was finally sentenced to death. In all that time he grew a cool weird friendship with Luxanna Crownguard (the blond girl) who belongs to a known and respected Demacian family but is secretly a mage. Long story short, Sylas’ execution never happened, because he had learned that his chains (and actually the entire city) were made with a material that didn’t just repel magic as he thought, but absorbed it instead. With that knowledge, he was able to absorb Luxanna’s power and use it to free himself. After that, he raised an army of mage rebels and waged war to the city. So he’s actually the only one who can “create weapons”, because he absorbed the other guy’s power (he’s Garen, Luxanna’s brother).
That’s cool. We’ve been told he absorbed people’s abilities but didn’t know about the chains involvement with that or that the city absorbed magic. Interesting! 😃😃

The blonde at the end, her lore is that magic is forbidden in her country. This is the first moment her brother, (big guy with sword) and her people see she is magical. She is uncertain if she will be imprisoned after this. The first beam of light into the air, actually awoke Galio, the stone bat guy at the end.
Hopefully after she saves all their asses with magic they’ll be a bit more understanding 🙃

Actually, excluding some of the champions (like Kindred, Nunu & Willump, Cho'gath, Kog'Maw, and Nocturne), there are roughly twice as many male champions in the game than female champions.
@@bloodknyte 60% are male, but thats pretty much only leftovers from ages ago because they've been releasing alot more female champions than male champions the last years. It has kind of lead to the problem that alot of them feel samey, but ultimately the difference in gender numbers boil down to all non-human or human-passing champions being male. Like every time they decide to do something crazy and unattractive it's a male character, like Bard, Ivern, Ornn, Tahm, Fiddle, and so on. And thats because those types of champions don't sell alot of skins in general, while female champions for some reason sell alot of skins but only when they're humanoid and pretty, so they've ended up pumping out female champions as money horses while leaving male champions with the crazy but not necessarily good ideas.
This is of course also why the animalistic champions look vastly different depending on gender. The male yordes for example look like legit animals while the female ones look alot more human with seperate hairstyles and so on. Same when you compare something like Ornn and Volibear to something like Lillia and Shyvana, Ornn and Volibear and noticably non-human in every way, something that is only reflected on Rek-sai and Anivia for the female champions.
Even with KIndred themselves we see this. Wolf is just a flying wolf head and male, while the Lamb is kinda curvy and obviously female.
So I feel like the male to female ratio is kinda skewed for that reason. Practically all female champions feel very human and obviously female, while half the male champions are animals and monsters of various sizes.
@@vergil8833 yeah, some of that is cultural bias towards who they are marketing the game too and some of it is that it’s a bit harder to pull off full on monster creatures that are female that still invoke the fear they are normally meant to employ. I mean, think what If Warwick was a female. I’m sure they could find a great female voice to it but if you stood them side by side and compared them and asked which one you preferred I’m willing to bet the majority would pick male Warwick over female. Idk, that’s just my opinion on what I see.
@@FrostyKings Well, on the ones that are supposed to be kind of scary that applies. It's the same reason why most horror movie bad guys are men. But the majority of non-human league characters aren't actually supposed to be scary, like Ornn and Bard and Ivern and so on.
I don't actually have a problem with this uneven treatment of the champions, but it is an explanation as to why it is uneven.
I think a bigger issue with these modern female champions is that they all fall into two personality types. "I don't neeed no man" butch girls and bubbly quirky girls. Theres no much variety which is probably why they've started to use accent alot more for the illusion of uniqueness.
And the problem itself stems from the modern female character issue in games and cinema where they're not allowed to have flaws because they need to be better than their male counterparts in order to be as far away from a damsel in distress as possible for social political reasons.
While male characters are allowed more variety because of it.
The moment where Ezreal stops and is like "shit, I can't believe I'm doing this" then turns around and charges back in to save Kai'Sa. And Lux finally deciding to show her powers is showing how she will not stand by while people get hurt, her loved ones in particular.
And if you're reacting to any League of Legends you'll be safe Riot don't copyright anyone who's reacting to their works... They love it when someone appreciate their works

I love your enthusiasm to the lore! Hope you have fun with all of League’s cinematics and the extensive lore! A bit of advice though. You’ll encounter “Skin cinematics” eventually and it might confuse you. So here’s a little explanation. League in it’s core is a game, and they have playable characters called champions. These champions have their lore, from which the majority of the cinematics and other media (comics, short stories) derive from. Then, there are skins, which are cosmetics that “enhance” the look of champions in-game and give different visual and audio effects that spice things up. These are of course, bought, either with stuff you earn by playing, or with real world money. To hype or prime the player base for these skins, Riot (the gaming company behind League) releases cinematics and other content about the these skins. Basically, “Skin Lore” is not related to the original lore, and is just a side story. An alternate reality if you will.

So they guys with the chains (his name is sylas) can copy the weapons of his enemies. If you watch closely when he blocks the sword attack from Garen, you can see him taking in the energy to copy his sword. Another thing is that Lux (the girl with magic powers) hid her abilities because mages technically are not allowed in Demacia (where they are from). I hope this clears things up a little!

I hope that you get the story behind the cinematics characters, it will add depth to why they are doing what they are doing. Lux, the woman in the beginning, lives in a land where magic is illegal, but she is a mage. Incredibly powerful one too. But she hides it as a noble. The big guy with the sword is her brother Garan, defender of Damacia. The guy with the chains is Sylas, also a mage, that was imprisoned in Damacia but freed from jail illegally by Lux. He basically came back to get revenge and free all of the other mages. Lux decided to use that wand to channel her magic, which alerted the guardian of Damacia, Gallio (the massive living stone statue). She was also worried that everyone would turn on her, but as the ending showed, they all have her back.
We’ve been learning more as people share it with us. Most seem to describe the Fortress scene but others have described Kai’Sa to us as well. Haven’t gotten as much on the steampunk world though we have gotten some info on it 🤓

The prison was holding Urgot, a character so powerful in the game that he can often single-handedly win matches, was locked up after doing some pretty bad criminal things. The woman in the hat was Caitlyn, the sheriff of Piltover, the steampunk world. They came to stop the Urgot followers from releasing him, and her partner Vi with the fists was beating them up, but he was still released. He basically is as strong as he looks. But they were able to barely beat him by knocking off his breathing mask
