Fly fishing for wild brown trout and grayling in Slovakia

As a novist flyfisher I am fortunate to live amidst a wide selection of trout water. From big rivers to small mountain streams and city runs, all are within a few hours driving distance. This allows me to practice and develop my casting, drilling and landing skills on an almost daily basis now. Most importantly it’s a fast course in reading different water types and understanding where the fish might lie (and feed). This video was taped in one of my favourite trout streams. It’s hidden in a mountain valley, difficult to access, so with low fishing pressure, and holds an abundance of nice size grayling and wild brown trout.
I am euronymphing with a ‪@hanakcompetition5779‬ 3 weight 10,6ft rod and micro leader with two nymphs, and or a hopper dropper set up with a dry fly when fish are rising.

You are a lucky man to fish such a beautiful location. Are Slovakia’s trout stocked?

In some places they stock trout on commercial stretches mainly for the licensed regional fisherman (mostly spin fishers). But there are many remote rivers and streams with wild native trout and Grayling.
