Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne was great choice for 1st place, the anime had great transformations. I don't know why they didn't finished it, it was great and the love story was solid. Chiaki was my first crush in anime.

Since the manga had a number of "mature" topics that wouldn't be suitable for children. Did they censor the plot a bit? Cause even the end had Maron and Chiaki consummate their love, so I can't imagine they would even hint at that in the anime.
Huh, pretty sure the anime ended. I don't know if it ended like the manga, but I distinctly remember Finn as like the final boss that got beaten by Jeannes love and her and the black angel getting reincarnated as children

Omg I’m so used to people not including Jeanne in their top transformations. 😭 So seeing her pop up here but as THE #1 made my soul so happy!! Really hoping this series gets a reboot like Sailor Moon and Tokyo Mew Mew.
That was what I was going to mention. Winx Club has great transformations, well maybe except Butterflix. And plus, Enchantix is a really popular transformation, and it’s nostalgic too. Maybe the creator has never heard of/grew up with Winx Club which may be a reason why none of the transformations made it on the list.

Harley Quinn is there because she's in DC Super Hero Girls (new version with Lauren Faust involved I think), other transformations from that show are also on this list so I assume that this person has seen that show before.
I adore the Kirakira Precure and Felice transformations, they’re so fun and dynamic! Also huh, I’ve never heard of Yuki Yuna is a Hero, might have to check that one out. Though I’m not sure if I’d count DC Superhero Girls but those scenes are definitely inspired by magical girls aha. Also Happy 2nd Anniversary, hope to see even more nice AMVs from you!

Chocolate and Passion have beautiful transformations, so elegant and colorful plus the music is sweet. Excellent choices! Mew mew Zakuro too is great, one of my favorites with Mint's transformation 🙂
One thing that always bothered me about mew mews transformation was the fact that other than ichigo and mint, everyone else's was so short (lookin at you lettuce)

Number 14 is from Senki Zesshou Symphogear XV, which is the fourth season of the Symphogear series. The first season's transformation qualities were average. But the later seasons up to the finale really upped their transformation scenes for each character. And they all sing their own battle theme each season which is a reflection of their inner thoughts and emotions. It's really worth the watch if you haven't. Famous VA's are in here that sings their own character theme songs and they are bangers.

@@user-ul2bu1uh3i I mean Precure is far from underrated. It literally chased out Jewelpet and became the mahou shoujo monopoly in Japan. You can't go anywhere without seeing a Precure product in a store there(there's even more now with the 20th anniversary). It also helps that it's one of Bandai's main toy lines for kids. I honestly haven't seen a magical girl kids show be enough to compete with it in a long time. Sanrio keeps attempting, like with Mewkle Dreamy. But they haven't been able to build up the same popularity that their Jewelpet series had.
