He sample this record so many times on: Crustation - Purple remix Toshi Kubota - Nothing But Your Love remix Que.D - Cash flow R U Listenin (from the Yancey Boys Album) A beat tape track he made in 1997-98
DOPEST SAMPLE EVER!! DILLA KILLED THIS SAMPLE NUMEROUS TIMES!! like at least 5 times! that "Purple" joint though... smh when i hear that shit man! the way he shopped the melodies and put it together with homegirls vocals. i can't help but to think of the GREAT! almost makes me wanna shed a tear man. that type of feel. AND THANK YOU SHOES!!! ONCE AGAIN CLEARING THE AIR!!! NOBODY HAS ALL OF DILLA SHIT! i always KNEW! those cats had but some of the exclusives! @ 1:47-2:12!! NUFF SAID!
Good stuff Jeedo, more for the the Dilla Stash. Yeah, I need all the goods from the (4 or 5) of you guys. Seriously, it would take a lifetime to have it all though. Just from vids seen online, He had several different rooms, storage bins, and random crates full of records. And as Benji B. said before collectors of multiple years, still hear new stuff. I just want a copy of the original batches he made, and the raw donuts he sent to Egon. Keep em coming. Peace...Netm8kr
Yeah, I do remember that part. But, it would be the true way he created it. When I make my tracks, its a similar process. Then after the initial groove is found, I focus on lengths. Glad to hear from fellow Dilla-Headz. Peace...Netm8kr
Man, you don't want the Donuts demo CD he made. Don't you remember when Egon said those tracks were only like 15 - 30 seconds long? They had to extend those tracks.
I'm kinda glad they don't just drop everything on everybody all at once cuz once its out there, that's it... we're such a fast and furious generation. Have to have everything new and now. Don't have any patience and don't savor what we do have. F that... keep the legacy going.
He must have made the beat in '96, because I have the Crustation promo 12" that contains the instrumental and the case says 1996. But his remix sounds so '97......
"Ain't no NEO-SOUL, it's fucking Jay Dee beats" haha
I love that beat so much since the first time, it's just undescribable..

Dilla used this sample so many times.
Should have Q-Love do some of these I saw a couple of videos in which he talked about working with John Doe
Of course his closest friends and music connections would have unheard beats by Dilla.... and when the time is right it will be released I'm hoping
There's even stuff that only Ma Dukes got.
got this album on wax...
