  • We break them. Like in real world 1/1 scale vehicles. This gives us the opportunity to upgrade. Also in my case, I can make a new video of the upgrade, show others and maybe help them with there own similar situation.
I this episode: The motor screws had loosened up and the pinion and the spur gear in the transmission had separated because of it.
No damage was done and as in real life… I would rather break down in my driveway than on the trail.
We were able to install a HOBBYWING Fusion SE 1200 2 in 1, Quikrun ESC/ Motor combo.
We also changed the motor’s pinion gear from 14 to 11 tooth. It was too fast before, now it’s a little on the slow side. So experimenting with a 12 tooth pinion will be in the future.
This thing now has a super low and smooth crawl speed. 👍
It is programmable with the HOBBYWING 1080 program card that some may already have. There is a part in the instructions that acts as a guide.
    Hope this helps.
Amendment… a kind Subscriber brought it to our attention the lower skid screw that connects transmission case to the front of the skid. So when you are dismounting the transmission assembly please do not over look this mounting screw. I appreciate the comments and pointing out my down falls. This will help create a more accurate channel to get info and entertainment from. 👍

I added the 2300kv motor to my VS4-10. I didn't see much increase in overall speed. Then again it climbs rocks! Great video.

The HobbyWing 555 brushed motor fits perfectly with no cutting or grinding required 58.5mm in length

I noticed you didn't install the bottom screw that goes from under the car. I had trouble lining that up but I was able to eventually install it when building the kit.

Yeah your right. I’ll have to figure out how to edit the video to add a subtitle stating there is one more fastener.
I recently got this Vanquish. I did not even know it was there until I was watching the video. Maybe it will help stabilize it from hopping so much after it is put in. I do really love the under belly design on the Vanquish VS410, super smooth.
Thank you for watching the video and helping me stay informed. I appreciate Your comment Ben. 👍

Yes sometimes you need the wheel speed. If you are running portals I would probably recommend the fusion 1800 SE.
But it crawls so slow, smooth and nice. And half the price of the fusion pro or castle puller and mamba mini ESC.
Thank you for your comment. I appreciate you bringing up this point and for your wisdom.
