Just got mine and used it for the first time. It's FANTASTIC. I put it on a 2 year old Strength Shop Belt (10mm). Was able to attach it in 5 minutes and didn't have to alter anything. One feature I don't believe was mentioned in the video is that you get half inch increments (over a 2 inch area). So you get the instant on/off of a lever with the adjustability of a Pioneer Cut Prong belt. The only time you'd need to break out the screw driver is if you gained or lost really significant weight. Other than that you can micro adjust within a two inch space with no screw driver necessary. Just an insanely awesome product. Oh, and thanks for the discount code. made it pretty cheap too.

Been using a double prongbelt for ages now because i wear my belt higher for deads then for squats. Havent seen these adjustable leverbelts in the Netherlands yet, but looks good. Especially getting the belt off is sometimes a hassle with a prongbelt.
Greatest-est belt invention ever. I like wearing a lever belt for most lifts as a bracing reminder, but hate having to adjust the belt for specific PRs. Problem solved. Thank you Pioneer. God bless America.
Just ordered mine with your promo code. Thanks for the heads up, I've been waiting for this for a couple months. It's nice that they're offering the lever separately instead of baiting us into buying a new belt. The # in stock is dropping quickly on their website. Question though- my one concern with this type of lever is whether you can leave it unhinged without it falling off your waist. Like if you unhinge it just into the loose setting, will it fall off your waist? The nice thing about the old belt is that even if you flipped the lever to the loose setting, it will still be snug enough to not fall off your waist? Is this the case with the new lever? I guess this might depend on how tightly you wear the belt, but it'd be good to hear from you on this.
This is my only gripe I passed on to Pioneer. When unhinged the system can be undone if you bump something. I've found I put it on the largest setting and close it so it's very breathable yet won't come undone.
It came out to 125 canadian shipped, expecting to get a duty charge that should be another 25 to 50 dollars. I paid under 150 shipped for my inzer with a buckle, so paying the same amount as my entire belt for the buckle is where the remorse comes from Hoping I love it once I use it and it's worth the money. Everything else I've bought from them has lasted and I still like / use even years later.
I literally bought a cheap belt online from some random fitness store, for approx. $40. Still holds up after 2 years of use. Quality is really good, for that price; 11mm thick, quick-release prong-system. Been wondering about swapping it out for a Pioneer or SBD, but I honestly don't think there's any point, yet.
Used your code for stoic knee sleeves. Can’t wait to use them, been using some random no name brand and they have gotten really worn out and don’t really even help.
Dan Bell has this belt and it came undone on him at the bottom of a Squat. Now I don't think any of us will squat as much as he does but I'll just play it safe and stick with my SBD belt.
That was on one of the prototypes however (he helped test them). Before they went to double pins and with different angels. He's hit 1000+lbs in them multiple times since!
About 6 weeks into my SBD belt & im loving it so far. Broke in like a glove. However I’m surprised how terrible it’s held up cosmetically & even functionally. When you unclip the lever it rubs against two spots of the leather & actually digs into it causing it to tear. Ended up using gorilla tape to stop that. All in all I think pioneer would be an better option for sure & I’ll eventually get one lol
@@connorwilliamson3729 I probably should, but honestly wear & tear seems inevitable. Seems like the belt is made for performance more so than longevity. Which is fair.
Sounds like just your belt I have never had any issues from tears of any kind they are pretty much life time guarantee and most reviews I read when buying one mentioned this
Great review, appreciate the insight. Been waiting for this lever for a while but have a slight concern after watching the instructional video on the Pioneer site. As Matt is screwing on the back plate for the part where the lever prong will latch on to, he says it may stick out a bit. But since that part of the belt ends up being the outer layer on the overlap, shouldn't matter too much (I guess meaing it won't jab into you). But my concern, admittedly probably just a cosmetic one, is as you close the lever and the two ends of the belt slide across each other, whether the back plate will scruff up the surface of the belt it may come in contact with. My belt is all leather (i.e. no suede covering) and while a worn in leather is a cool look, wouldn't want it too scratched up.
This is the only issue I noticed and passed on to Pioneer. Belt can come unclasped when loose between sets. I tend to put it on it's biggest setting and close it there instead.
I haven't had this problem. When you open it it might come loose, but it takes one second to put it back in the wave with it opened and then it stays in place fine.
look like its gonna be a great item.... my concern would only be and this would be something tested over time of use, is the prongs that go into the adjustable side breaking from pressure.
I’m amazed at how many people complain about the price of the SBD belt $227 when they’re buying all sorts of things at a mark up like bars, dumbbells, weights, shoes, etc.. The SBD belt is a quality belt that will last you for the rest of your life so you only have to buy it once rather than buying several different belts. Sometimes spending on a quality product is necessary. Just look at how many people by Rogue instead of Titan. At the end of the day, it comes down to what you would rather have supporting you under an extreme heavy load. The pioneer is an excellent belt and will do the job. The SBD will too as a premium option. It’s great there’s more options now.
Are pioneer belts approved. ? Never have competed but mite soon in usapl. I'm guessing my lillibridge wraps by pioneer are. Great company so far. Great customer service.
For local meets they're fine, just in regionals or nationals you likely can't wear them. However they make products for A7 and IronTanks who paid the fee, so you can wear those versions.
My old starting belt I've been using for years finally broke(cheap amazon one) so I was just looking at investing in a pioneer or SBD. Since this is just the buckle, would you recommend just getting their regular lever belt & switching it out? Or do they or anyone else make 13mm belts without any hardware I could attach it to?

How would someone choose between a 10mm vs 13mm belt?
Also, does this lever works on titan belts too?
It's tough if you haven't owned one before. I think for most 10mm is fine. 13mm can dig into ribs a lot more depending on the material.
How's the matt black colour on the Lever holding up? Would you suggest that or stainless steel?
Actually really well (better than I thought it would).
I’ve tried a pioneer cut from a friend and personally feel like the lever gets a tighter fit. Do you prefer a lever over a prong?
I’m a lever person. Although I would still use my pioneer cut prong when I travel in the past bc I find my weight fluctuates a lot on the road. This new lever should solve that issue.
Is the rogue 13mm lever belt a good belt for me? I’m 15 and I’ve been working out for about 5 months. My gyms belt sucks so I want my own.
I think 13mm is prob overkill for most as a first belt. I'd go 10mm.

My curiosity would be how well the prong mechanism thing would hold up.. I mean, it’s not going into holes like the SBD lever does. It seems like the SBD design would be more stable. Any thoughts on this?
You could make the argument that the SBD holes will wear out faster from repeated use b/c it's leather vs metal on the Pioneer.
You could argue that but due to the thickness on SBD that doesn’t happen had mine 4 years and the unused holes look exactly the same as the used ones
Do you know if when they make it an option to buy PAL with a belt it will be cheaper than buying a belt and PAL now? Since now it's gonna be 180$ together...
They told me December.
@@BasementBrandon will it be cheaper to buy it then? Should I wait?
As someone who owns an expensive SBD and never tried any other belt, I can confirm SBD is the best.
Lol, it's nice but you can get as nice if not nicer for a lot less.
