      @@marketingjames2718 That's a good question regarding warranty and such too. Custom LFP with high voltage output and oil cooling by a relatively unknown company, what could go wrong?
      Mclaren is kinda known for being cool with the custom parts people, but something regarding safety? You'd think they would sue, or at least insurance might have something to say..............

    I couldn't believe my eyes, the moment Tavarish tried to remove the dashboard.... it was painfull to watch but at the same time hilarious. Mixed feelings :D

    I don't know if that was a joke about the 70k$ clamshell lying on the rubbish pile, but I think you can totally fix it ! I would recommend doing a negative mould from an intact clamshell (Hardest part since you need another P1 and an owner who is willing to do so). Once you have the negative mold you can insert your clamshell and repair the broken parts of it 👌🏻
    Let me know if you need more informations on how to do it.

      The First Gen Dodge Viper actually had "Blinker Fluid" as it came with a small bubble level in the headlights to help with installation

      @@GuestInMyOwnCountry so for oil to get down into the oil, in a normal engine, the water would either go up the exhaust or in the intake, and seep past the valves and into the cylinder, from there it would then seep past the piston rings and into the sump. Now the McLaren isn't a normal engine in that it doesnt just have one big sump, it has multiple, so water to have gotten into all of the sumps, it's not a good outlook on the engine being unaffected by rust

    This guy is taking us through such a niche and hidden market, so few of these cars were produced that I bet no one knew these things about McLaren P1s, and Freddie is showing us a new world, this is purely magic and I never thought I'd be so invested in a (definitely 1st in the world) journey like this. You're truly a pioneer.

      The entire "car" should have been bought for 50p. Almost everything that is metal is corroded or rusty, everything that is electronic would have been shorted thanks to sea water.

    I love how while trying to remove the dashboard, he starts by pulling at a fairly modest amount of pulling and jostling and as the clip goes on he begins to get frustrated and pulls, jiggles and jostles harder and faster until it finally comes off. Classic Tavarish. Reminds me of a quote from from Issac Arthur: “The number one rule in the army, ‘If brute force doesn’t work, you’re not using enough of it’”!😂😂😂

    Seeing that entire dashboard come out, the front come off, the internal guts of the P1.... this has got to be the most wild episode so far. It's like being in an operating room watching surgery being done. Also, those guys at V Engineering were really cool, hope we see them again later on in the series

      I mean considering the guy he may get a battery from didn’t say anything about pricing, and that isn’t even released yet I wouldn’t say the battery bridge is crossed yet. But it is encouraging to see that there is a potential solution that’s not the price of a house.

      I agree man, this is quiet insane he managed to get together with people across the world to help him with this. Reminds me of when he did his 675LT with Jared. The build was just different with no collabs for the most part. He's doing a hell of a job!

    I love watching content I can really relate to. Nothing like watching you rip apart this $2M P1 with the same level of care I used when ripping apart the Power Wheels Jeep I found for my kids by a trash can on the side of the road. Hammers, drills, pry bars… it really hits home.

    Man i felt like i waited weeks for this episode, it did not disappoint, it was a great you travelling to the UK and visiting V Engineering, a great find and i am hopeful we see more of them in the coming episodes. These are videos are becoming unmissable, along with Matty Armstrong you two are the best UA-camrs out here..

    Rarely do I watch a video on UA-cam and wish it was as long as a feature film of 2 hours or more. Those minutes went by in the blink of an eye.
    There is no rebuild on UA-cam better than this one. Absolutely mesmerizing and so entertaining to watch.

      @@Anankin12 perhaps some legislation is required globally to warn workers of this issue. When I was working in industry I went to numerous HSE sponsored Asbestos risk lectures, but I’m not aware of similar safety training for carbon fibre users.

      ​@@Anankin12No they don't. Carbon can be broken and extracted by the body. But Asbestos is a silicate mineral and cannot be readily extracted by the body as it does not react with almost anything.

    As someone who has built a few computers before, that wiring harness gave me both chills and ptsd in the form of anxiety. Needless to say, I can't wait for the next episode.

      when he showed that harness i thought to myself how much fibre optic is in that thing. i know your anxiety about car wiring. I can't even imagine trying to adapt a cluster from a different car. i think he needs someone to print him out a wiring diagram and hang it on the wall for reference because i have the feeling he will be referencing it a lot
