The Wire at 20 Official Podcast | Episode 5 with Dominic West, Clarke Peters, Jim True-Frost | HBO

- Опубліковано 29 чер 2022
- The Wire has historically been known for its tight-knit family environment behind the scenes. Executive producer Nina Noble attributes their bond to the show's underdog status. Domenick Lombardozzi, Dominic West, JD Williams, and Andre Royo join The Wire at 20 to talk about the frat house environment they cultivated. Next, Karen Thorson and Jim True-Frost recall renting rooms in Clarke Peters's home, a more mature space that he called "The Academy." Finally, Nina, Wendell Pierce, and Dominic remember how the team staged an intervention for Dominic after his enthusiasm lapsed during Season 4.

Herc and Bodie watching anime together sure is an image
Did they go to movies together? Did they hang with Rawls and Marimo?
@@DeepTissueExplorerOr maybe Neon Genesis.
Can u imagine seeing Bodie, Herc, Stringer, & Wee-Bay in a random bar fight?!😂
Bodie and Herc watching anime is so effing wholesome.
I've been dying to hear these stories. Stories about the making of the series, the inside. I love to hear how much the cast was impacted by their time on the show. Tical as host, perfection.
SalmonsDontDie! Dope to see you're a fan of the greatest TV show ever too.
@@jakestanley52 RIP TO LANCE REDDICK
'The Academy' sounds like an amazing experience. And very "Cool Lester Smooth!"
Halfway through?! Noooo this needs to continue. Such a great podcast.
So dope that the cast has a real family dynamic. Was thinking of the slim reaper the entire episode so can’t wait for next week. Oh indeed
"All the pieces matter."
These have been amazing to listen to, and Meth's been killing it on the hosting duties
Jimmy McNulty :- "Would it be WRONG if i took two😏?"
Bunk:- " atta boy Jimmy👏👏👏"
Man, I could listen to the cast talk all day.
These stories are amazing
These are great stories
this is such a pleasure to listen to. please please please continue this series
I fkn love this podcast. Absolutely brilliant 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
these behind the scenes and downtime stories are the Best-est!
That story about Dominic shows how tuned in the cast was, stream-of-consciousness level performances from 20+ actors and actresses. People will be talking about this show in 100 years.
love the podcast !
Great episode!
Philosophical anime from early to mid 2000s, I’m thinking evangelion. Any other possibilities?
Serial Experiments Lain? Revolutionary Girl Utena? Would be the funniest thing ever seeing Herc react to Utena
I know its not early 2000s, more like late 90s but cowboy bebop was the first thing i thought of
Great episode.
Does anyone know the song playing in the background near the end?
These are great, but why can’t they re-show the clips? Bodie death scene always hits hard
I just watched Bodie's death in my re-watch. I cry EVERY time.😢😢😢
thanks method man
I use to see them shooting shows all the time.
What anime was it tho
Does anyone know if the outro music is just composed from this or it's a clip from an actual song
Who’s “Bob” that’s mentioned while discussing the academy house.
Could it be any more obvious Redman was reading a script in these podcasts?
rad
So there's no visual with this podcast?
This show is enjoyable but I think it could be a thousand times better. If I were to produce a podcast about the wire and I had method man hosting it I would have method man interact with the cast and talked to them about all this different stuff instead of just a little snippets of different actors that aren't even interacting with each other it's hard to even call it a podcast
So McNulty was not acting. That's him
