I absolutely ADORE this book. I read it for my literature class. I believe it is one of the most aesthetically pleasing, artistic, and emotionally-charged books I have ever read. The professor I had class is very artistic and loves anything similar to this, which is why I absolutely loved her. She always picked the most amazing books to read!
Michael,Anne's brother, was a best friend when we attended the University of Western Ontario. He was kind, very intelligent, aware of subtle nuance and detail with a wry sense of irresistible humour . Had Michael not been required to experience insensitive ignorant brutes he might have been interested in staying. Being far away from some types of people is preferrable.
