The goal of Praise & Harmony is to provide training materials (Training disc audio, Training videos, Sheet music, Powerpoint slides) to help individuals and churches learn to sing harmony and to make it super easy to teach new songs.
This video was taken of the Praise & Harmony Singers recording the Resurrecting God collection. These volunteers, who are passionate about singing and worship, audition to record the Praise & Harmony projects and diligently learn the music.

Good song choice. This in my mind, I would dedicate to the family and friends of Kobe Bryant who are left behind and having to deal with the grief and sadness during the time of his untimely death this past Sunday.

When I play this song it brings my spirit closer to God
This is my favourite hymn, I love the isiXhosa version more. It brings back memories when I listen to it. My mother and I would sing this hymn together all the time. 8th of July 2021 she passed away, I would find comfort in this hymn and pain as well.
This hymn was sung at my grandpa's and uncle's funeral. I love it.

Can someone explain the different note shapes? What do they convey?
Those are shape notes. The ice cream cone shape is the "T" as in do ra mi fa so la t doe. This is referred by professional to learn songs faster!
