I envy you! Wish I had done things differently and learned to fly. You live a dream life and I'm glad to of found your channel so I can fly vicariously through you. Wishing you safe flights from Tacoma.
OOPS! Sorry about the sound in one speaker. This is a problem with my microphone that I've learned to resolve by turning the audio into mono. Unfortunately, I forgot for this video.
Hi Maria, it‘s good to have you back, apparently in good health. Sorry about your dog and good for the 2 new companions. They will have a happy life with you! Greetings from Mallorca.
Welcome back! Stay safe out there. Sorry to hear about Penny, it was always fun to watch her react to everything. I remember her sitting up when she recognized that you were landing at home. Thanks for the ride along, it's beautiful out there!
Hi, glad to see you back in the air. Still working on getting my class two back, been working on it since October. Might know something by the end of the month I’ve been told. When I do, I’m getting checked out in a J-3 Cub, one of those bucket list things.
Maria, Strange times at so many levels. Welcome back and I will take a look at your hats. I watched the live clip today and enjoyed very much. Have a safe trip to the annual.
Oh yeah - nice footage showing Executive Flight Offices where I spent 12-weeks over the summer of ‘17, up to the Confluence & everything in between. Spent a lot of my free time along the very stretch. I love it out there! Great video.
Great to have you back. My wife and I were bike riding the river loop trail on Friday. But I think we were at Lincoln Rock state park when you made this flight, bummer I missed seeing you fly by.
We have some friends moving to the Wenatchee area in September from our area in Southern Idaho. Came across your Video and really enjoyed it. It gave me a different perspective with flying. We really enjoyed it and also didn't know that how expensive Fuel is for such a short flight. Crazy! Thanks!
Cool and Awesome video. Thank you for the time in making this video for us in you tube land. Keep them coming. Be safe out there. God bless you and your family. Bye for now from New Jersey. And God Bless America. 🇺🇸👍👍👍
Glad to see you're up and flying again. My wife's from Waterville so I know the geography of Wenatchee so well. Loved your flights with Nick Zentner, one of my other UA-cam favorites (I'm a geologist myself). Any chance of more flights with him?
I like your skills when taking off and landing fast and precise with no nonsense. I will gladly pay to go for a ride with you if only i didn't live so freaking far away in PR.
Welcome back Maria, it's always a good day when you post a new flying video! It's such a treat to see you flying over my old stomping grounds as I have such wonderful ( mostly) memories of Wenatchee. Your commentary and amazing piloting skills are always enjoyed. Hopefully you had a good vacation. I'm sorry to hear about Penny, it seems that you have 2 good flying companions now however. I told my mom about your channel and she's excited to watch you fly over the Wenatchee Valley. Take care and stay safe, I'm already looking forward to your next video!
Looking to move out that way. We're retired and need to know about health care. I have epilepsy and am on SSDI after working for 40+ years hardly ever missing any workdays, even after having a few seizures over the past decades. My wife takes good care of me to make sure I don't skip any medication. We have family in Everett, Washington. Loved seeing your video.
So good to see you well and back flying Maria; checked out your weather cam - wow, what a super view! Thank you for taking us along, through such scenic countryside.
And another thing....the front facing camera (with the audio) DID crap out on me on the flight from the airport to my summer LZ. So no video on that. I think I'm going to switch cameras; the one currently rear facing seems more reliable and who needs to see me?
Welcome back Maria I've been a subscriber for about a year it's good to see you back I love your videos. If I could ever get over Wenatchee way I would hire you to take me for a ride I've always wanted to go in a helicopter.
I was sitting here watching you dry cherries while eating some Washington cherries. I wondered where mine came from. Looked at the bag and guess what, Wenatchee, WA. Maybe you dried my cherries. Lol
Could be! Some of the orchards I've been drying are being picked. Did you notice a company name on the bag? I think most of my clients pack with Stemilt.
Just a couple nit picky comments: Opening the vents is to eliminate CO (carbon monoxide). You said CO2, which is carbon dioxide. Also when you depart Wenatchee toward the river basically paralleling closed runway 7-25 as you did on departure and arrival you are west of the airport. You said south. Love your videos, thank you for all the work you put into them.
One of my favorite flights is up the Entiat River almost to the end, then over a mountain there with a descent past Holden Village and up Lake Chelan to Stehekin. Haven't done that one in years.
Well meria I am a channel member on fortunately I didn't see my name on the list of members of your channel but I'm not upset about it just wishing you a safe flight and and enjoyable flight God bless you.
Hey, Roy. I didn't see you on the channel member list and the member icon doesn't appear next to your name. You're not on the Patreon list either. Is it possible that you're confusing channel MEMBER with SUBSCRIBER? I see that you are a subscriber. Members support the channel through monthly donations. Subscribers just see new videos in their list of subscriptions. Other folks have confused the two in the past.
Just wanted to let you know I sent you a link, on Twitter, to a CBS Sunday Morning episode today. It was for the Faroe Islands. Virtual Remote Faroe Islands. It's cool 😊
Wait. What? That was YOU? I didn't realize you were that Twitter person! LOL! I want to try it out; maybe tomorrow morning before most of the US is awake.
Thanks Momma Bird we love you and we all appreciate your hard work doing these videos ❤️ I have flight time in a Cessna as a highschool summer learning experience helping at the Arlington Washington Airport for the Fly In from the Summer's of 89 to 93. My best friend's parents owned the Flying J Deli 😏 I was surrounded by excellent Piolets and they all taught me something 👍 I drove a shuttle van from the East side to the Airshow 😏 I was lucky to have an aerobatic flight with a modified Cessna 150 and I flew a helicopter the first time without trouble 😏 literally able to hover and feel trans lift 😎 I was born to fly but I'm not a Pilot because I never was able to financially afford it. 😔 I'm 45 now and I actually want to begin with flight training but still unable to afford it after life kicked my tail a few times 😏🥺. I dream of becoming a Professional Pilot. I would do something like flying people who passed away across the Country 😔 especially for a Veteran or a Native American 😌. I knew someone who did that in a Caravan but he had an accident. He flew into a Mountain when he failed to calibrate the pressure on the Altimeter 😔 on a fuel stop. It's sad but he will help future Pilots by his sacrifice ❤️. I feel sorrow for you losing your dear Friend 🐺😓 My Snouzer Lab passed in my arms 😔 she was days away from her 16th birthday. She was with me everywhere I was for her whole life she was only apart from me for a maximum combined time of a month 🥺 she was happy with the adventure and I treated her like a being with a Soul and respected her emotions. She was a significant blessing and I am a better person because she was in my life 😇 I pray that you will have peace soon it's been really hard for me since March 😔. I too have a new Friend 🐺 and she's amazing and a blessing too 😊. Please forgive the long comment and you are forgiven if you don't respond I completely understand I just wanted to say thank you and I hope for the best for you in your adventures ❤️😏
deantube You don‘t fly a R44 just for fun, unless your rich. It needs about 15 gal of AvGas per hour and the maintenance depends on flighttime (100 h / yearly and 2200 h overhaul). 190 $ per hour is a reasonable estimate of costs. No paying customer - no flying.
I know Phillip. Had lunch with him once when he flew though AZ with a brand spanking new yellow R44. My cost of flying my helicopter includes: - Insurance $15K/year - Annual Inspections/Regular Maintenance $3K-$10K/year - Fuel: 15 gallons/hour; yesterday's price $5.15/gal - Oil: 1 Qt per 5 hours; $5-$8/quart - Reserve for Overhaul: $120/hour - Non-scheduled maintenance: $?? The more you fly, the cheaper it is. If I fly 100 hours/year and my insurance is $15K/year, that's $150/hour FOR INSURANCE ONLY. (Phillip's helicopter belongs to a club (I think) and I'm certain it's flown more hours per year than mine.) Then add all the other costs and you start seeing what it really costs to fly.
FlyingMAir Jup, he must have left out something! I knew that flying a helicopter is expensive, but this is the most complete and honest list I have seen so far. Maria, your the best! Says a guy who has 1h30m flying time in helicopters. 30 m in New Yorkabout 40 years ago, out and around to Lady Liberty, up the East River, across Central Park and down the Hudson (from Battery Park Heliport). And in the 90-s two times half an hour in a R44 actually at the controls with a FI riding shotgun! Those were two highlights in a life with not too few highlights. Thats why I love your POV videos and your infos about your job, the R44, the landscape and technical infos like this one. Can‘t thank you enough! Greetings from Mallorca and watch out in these crazy times!
Hey welcome back, Maria, glad to see you. Hope you've been well!

Nice to see you back in the air, Maria.
Nice to be back!
Cool! That's a beautiful view. The big cloud over the mountain and the reflection in the river.
Thanks! It was a gorgeous day yesterday, but it looks like clouds and rain for the next week or so.
glad to see the pups are doing ok with their new adventure.
I don't think they liked it, but they didn't seem to hate it. I'm just glad Rosie the Puker didn't puke. (She gets carsick.)

When do we get to see a picture of the new pups?
I'll show them on the Livestream tomorrow and probably post a photo in the Community tab sometime afterward.
Have you been to the Costco is east Wenatchee? Was there about a week ago and it was pretty barren.
I'm not a Costco member. I'm a household of ONE and I really don't need to buy anything in bulk. 🤷🏻♀️

What's good
How much does one of those helicopter cost..
Wjat kind of schooling would I need?
You can fly one with a Private Pilot helicopter rating. Requirements vary depending on country. My helicopter cost about $400K new.
@@FlyingMAir Thank you
Why no flying since October??

$190/hour? I wish. My current cost of operations is about $400/hour. The overhaul, which is due in 100 hours, will cost $250,000. 😔

Thanks for the quick correction. Not all info on the internet is universally true. I checked here: philip.greenspun.com/flying/robinson-r44
