  • Welcome to my channel on this channel. We do scrap metal recycling. I've been in a business for 25 years. I picked up from residential and commercial properties. And then this video I had to pick up some scrap metal and load my trailer for a trip to the scrapyard tomorrow. So if you like scrap metal related content. Remember to like comment and subscribe. The one thing Mike forgot to mention. Is that when you have a load on your truck and your trailer any weight after the rear axle is considered tongue weight. So if you have 500lbs after the axle in the truck and 1000lbs one the trailer tongue you can and will get busted for being over weight..

      I usually do. We just didn't put them back in the truck and I didn't check.. If the guy would have told me what I was picking up, he said there was just some stuff alongside the garage. And gave me an address.. And of course, he sends me pictures after i'm already there.. Then I realized I didn't have the tools I needed.🥺

    I would just throw that shaft thing in with my breakage. I sell like 200 pounds of breakage a week. It’s worth separating.

    People think we make a fortune doing scrap metal removal. Not the case. Plus you get jobs like this one where you were told one thing and its not the case your really helping a contractor out because you could of just left it let him lug it out woods and load it. Yes its free removal when im getting in and out and customer getting the mess out the way not having to load it drive it mabey getting pulled over. Then you get to places and they got industrial boilers that are the size of small sheads weighing thousands. Sorry being charged! 0And refrigerators and freezers I hate why people let food rot and not cleaning them out thinking its extra weight. Its a tough trade knowing your metals knowing weight knowing safe and unsafe stuff or even hazardous knowing rigging and strapping down load having right tools. I love watching your videos knowing others go through the same stuff. Keep husling my guy!

      Yes, you are exactly right. People don't know what you actually have to deal with...

    Bro when you were doing weight like you were doing it's not worth your time. Cost per hour versus what you're making. If you don't need to do it, don't do it

    • @Adventureswithmike1
      @Adventureswithmike1  3 місяці тому +1

      That's exactly what it is.. It's hard for people to grasp how much stuff I actually get. I could have a crew of ten people ripping things apart and still we couldn't keep up.

      Lol. When people call me about picking up scrapped, I try to get as much information from them to see what tools I might need.. If it's something I don't normally have.
