I've been watching your channel for a long time and I have to say that by far, it's the best for motorcycle travel and camping. You 2 make a great pair on camera and I can only hope it's just as good off camera. Thank you for all you do. I know it's not easy filming and traveling at the same time. It takes a lot of effort. And then to take the time to edit and post, also very time-consuming. So thank you again. You set the bar nice and high for all the other similar channels.
Girlfriends that repair tires and make cocktails? Should grow on trees right? 😂 My girl does neither but she’s a hell of a nurse which comes in handy sometimes too. Sterling your videos always impress, I feel lucky to have found your channel.
I have never met Sterling but I met Eva at their Jonquil Motel in Bisbee Arizona. She is great people, friendly, helpful, and cheerful. Sterling is a lucky man. I highly recommend the Jonquil if you ever visit Bisbee.
Hi there Eva and Sterling, I am so happy for you two to be exploring the Sea of Cortez! You are most likely and your way South or else but I want to hear what your thoughts are about a Sunset in the sea of Cortez!! I know that the sunrises are beautiful but when you experience a sunset across the sea, it becomes so beautiful, the entire coast line turns red! And I am certain that Sterling being a cinematographer will appreciate that! Thank you for making my day! Ciao di Roma
Awesome, thanks guys! Looks like a really relaxing rest day, in spite of the flat tire! But you got to meet some nice dogs, have some delicious cocktails, and stay in a comfy motel, so all is good!
Sterling, and Eva, you guys are inspirational to say the least (at least fight a little bit....jeez) I don't know what you are waiting for Sterling.... Your videos have inspired me to ride more and camp more, and just try to ENJOY life more, so, thanks!
This series gets better with each episode! Ava is really something. She's fixed and mounted tires, made cocktails, rides a motorcycle like a boss, AND she's not opposed to camping and sleeping in a tent! Wow!
What a blessing to have your significant other on a bike right next to you, sharing your adventures. Two more weeks till summer vacation and my riding season. Stay safe and keep the great content coming.
Liked this episode as a traveller its not all cocktails at the end of the day. Showing the tire fix and the laundry situation is a more accurate part of the tourings. Not afraid of telling it like it will be. Good job.
I did this same trip on a bike solo in the fall of 1980 and I can tell you that traveling through Baja then was like going back in time to the wild west. You could ride 200 miles and not see any signs of civilization. Kids at the rare gas stations would holler astronauta (because of my full-face helmet and visor) as I rolled in for gas which cost 17cents a gallon back then. Wild times indeed. Would like to do it again now in my sixties.
My wife Mabel rides her own …. many times in Baja…knows how to fix a flat on her GS…we also carry Dr. Bonnet’s soap….been all over but Baja is still a favorite 👍
I knew you guys were impressive when I met you at the launch of the WYBDR…tire repair..filming…all in trying to spend time together on a road trip….you guys make it look easy…glad you are sharing…enjoy!!!!
You two remind me of my wife and I; just enjoying being together, whatever we're doing. I'm looking forward to a Baja trip. She's taking some dirt classes to get better in the gravel and dirt, and we're both working on our iron butts for the long haul. :^)
if you ream that hole more until it's easy to pull in/out then put some of that cement on the reamer and ream a few more times it makes it way easy to get the plug in the hole. then you want to cut the extra off right at the tire. if you don't cut off the extra at the tire, the extra will flip/flop and break open the seal. could start leaking again.
enjoy your videos. I've now when on 3 long distant motorcycle trips and I have documented all of those trips. I'm really frustraded with my last trip and how I recorded it on video. I'm still just trying to figure this all out and the best way to video the trip. I''ve realized that you use the gopro alot when you are at stops to video what you are doing. I have a youtube channel as well. Just love looking back and also enjoy the process of doing the video during the trip.... it help me stay focused and I'm always looking to document the trip as I go, but I just wish I had a better system. Just got to keep watching other youtube videos and getting ideas of how others are videoing the trip
Sterling, great content as per usual. When Eva was fixing her flat, you commented you were glad it wasn't you since you didn't have tubeless tires. I would be interested to see how you would handle it if it was you. My Triumph has spoked wheels and no center stand, so I've been lucky over the years, but if I had a flat on the road I'd be in trouble I think. I've really enjoyed your videos and this series is no exception.
Hey Mr Sterling.. it's been a while. Last time I watched you you were on your own in the Northern United States. It's been a little while. It looks like you are enjoying having company in your travels and she seems sweet. Sorry I don't know your name yet, but you two make a pretty good team it looks like. An extra sub for you and it looks like I have some catching up to do! Thanks for having so much fun 😎🍻👍🏻
I always thought the glue went on the rope plug to act as lube as well as help the seal. I cut the plug off as close to the surface as possible. I’d never leave it sticking out that much. I’d be afraid it might catch and start to pull out. But hey, if it works… You have the French Mechanic Manicure. 🙃 You had a blender in your room? Nice. A large goblet is a great drink glass choice. I’m confused, you had a blender, but had to use a camping stove?
While I ma friends with Sterling and Eva, I did a moto trip to Baja in 2023. If you go to Bahia De Los Angeles, checkout Campo Archelon just to the north. They are a wildlife refuge and are ambassadors of ecology for the area. They have tent camping and lodging that is the best in the area. Don't even bother looking anywhere else. I made the mistake of lodging other places and ended up here. Also, the owners have family that have fishing boats and can arrange charters for day fishing trips which will leave you speechless at the end of the day....
43 years ago I drove a bus full of people to Baja Sur. We spent two weeks on a beach. Sailed a sunfish out to the anchored shrimp boat and traded a big stack of old playboy mags for many kilos of huge prawns. I reckon I might need a smaller bike to do Baja. I don't think my BMW r850r is good for it.
I totally need a gal that was a tire girl and loves to ride, lol! Except my wife might object!! Oh well, I ride alone and it's cool. No motorcycles outside therapists offices!
Also I wanted to ask you is your gopro setting 2k @ 60 Hz? My last trip I had the setting at 1080k @ 30Hz and also use 2K @ 30Hz, but I realized my trip before this last one I use 60hz and it seems that the video looked better on my edited video which I did at 30hz timeline. I didn't slow down the video but it still just looked better and more stable.
What time of the year was this in the Baja. I went in 2017 last week of January for 2 weeks rode 3500 miles return from Phoenix. Would like to do Baja North Sea of Cortez to San Ignacio Gruerro Negro and back. Thinking mid November.
Apply cement to the plug and in the hole with the reamer for easier insertion . Cut the plug even with the tire . Yes I’m an expert . This plug is considered temporary. The tire should be removed and patched from the side .
Ava i’m a sweet lovable guy can you hook me up with one of your friends that might be like you We could all ride off into the sunset Love what you guys are doing keep it up

At 2:23 I thought wow, this girl is owning that tire, she then told about her repair gig. How cool! Fun series!
Eva is bad ass. Great videos. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Eva's a Rock Star! Wow!

This makes me want to go back to BAJA soooo bad.

If I ever win the lotto, I'm hiring them both to film and make adventure cocktails for me on my journey. Great content. Great cinematographer.

Bahia de LA looks like the perfect spot. And Eva is awesome!

nice love the tire repair by a lady
Exactly Eva! Where do I find one of those!? 😊🍻🇺🇸 Loving the videos Sterling!

The blender was in the bar with the bartender!
Hello, I think the tire should be inflated fully before inserting the packing. That way it would go all the way inside. Thanks.

I just want a girlfriend that rides her own bike but my wife said i couldn't have one go figure
😉……😂😂
I don’t care who ya are, that’s funny right there.
Sorry man. Sounded like a great plan
Lol, Your wife too?
So fun!

Quite the road trip/adventure. Thanks for taking us along Sterling! Do you need to know Spanish and would the trip be safe to do alone?
Also I wanted to ask you is your gopro setting 2k @ 60 Hz? My last trip I had the setting at 1080k @ 30Hz and also use 2K @ 30Hz, but I realized my trip before this last one I use 60hz and it seems that the video looked better on my edited video which I did at 30hz timeline. Got a flat in the same spot one month 👌🏼
What time of the year was this in the Baja. I went in 2017 last week of January for 2 weeks rode 3500 miles return from Phoenix. Would like to do Baja North Sea of Cortez to San Ignacio Gruerro Negro and back. Thinking mid November.
Everyone needs one (1:53)
When do you guys think you will back at the hotel in Bisbee?
In a while I guess!
Hey Sterling, nice hair 😬
Apply cement to the plug and in the hole with the reamer for easier insertion . Cut the plug even with the tire . Yes I’m an expert . This plug is considered temporary. The tire should be removed and patched from the side .
Can’t find the links to the maps you refer to.. 🤷
You mean you don’t bring plenty of extra socks that’s nasty
Instead carry multiple pairs of Sox to pack, what’s wrong with washing them?
That chick is hot!
Ava i’m a sweet lovable guy can you hook me up with one of your friends that might be like you
We could all ride off into the sunset
Love what you guys are doing keep it up
Nice , may I know the Air Pump brand please?
