As a farmer addict and someone who is literally one bad decision away from an equally destructive lifestyle with opiates, it may look like someone perpetually flip-flapping on what he wants to do or what he believes. But rest assured that this man knows he has a problem and he probably does want to do better. He just doesn't know how and he's afraid to ask for help and afraid to try something different. That's just the facts and it kept me from trying for like 6 years. And he's been saying it for years and he says it the exact same way and I can just tell he really means it and just genuinely doesn't know what is life would be without it. And that's fucking totally understandable especially to me. I can't speak for him but I'm sure he feels like he's literally nothing without this stuff. Not to mention how easy it is to make money quickly, which you literally need to survive unfortunately. And if it's all you know it's real easy to fall back. I was literally dead for 13 minutes from taking like an assload of methadone... As soon as I was cognizant enough to realize what I was named and where I was going I instantly wanted more and I was mad that I wasn't high.
Not to mention the 20 or so people I know that fell out and died right around me. But it never stops any of us. We don't have the luxury of being able to see people dying like that around us from the same behavior and think that it will happen to us mixed with the same amount of " I'm good dude" attitude. Kind of. It's a very hard frame of mine to try to explain to someone how you're able to cope with that, but it's essentially sociopathic tendencies, I'm not going to lie or sugar coat it but that's what it is. I'm only 3 years younger than Blade, and I started using heroin in high school, so I've got tons of experience with opiate addiction.
Despite that experience, it's always been tough for me to relate to people who get physically addicted to alcohol.
There have been times when i drank daily for over 6 months, and then just had mild insomnia when i stopped cold turkey, so i guess i wasn't drinking enough to have DT's.
Cool I used to book rooms for the Gaylord and I never even knew what it looked like.
This is what I want every addict in alcoholic thinks life is going to be like without drugs and is the reason why we don't try it for so long cuz we can't imagine ourselves live in a normal life going on fucking sightseeing shits for no reason lol. It's beautiful
