How did Elvis choose which jumpsuits to wear? Apparently his valet took a whole rail of them on every tour, and Elvis would look through them on the night of each concert and make up his mind, then select his shoes, belt and scarf. I was just reading about that in one of the books I got recently, by one of his entourage. If he did two concerts on one night, he would have to be helped out of the jumpsuit after the first show as it would be literally dripping with sweat. By the time he had cooled down, washed himself, it was time to get dressed again in fresh clothing. Dear Lord, is it any wonder his heart failed so early on in his life😢😢

Hey Mark, my copy of this book arrived today and I am over the moon!!! Spent most of the day reading the text, which as you know, I feel is just as important as the photos. And on reading the introduction to the book I now know more about the fans in Norway that put these books together and published them. No mean feat! I wonder what the colonel would have thought of them... he'd be spitting chips over the lost income, I bet, LOL
I have got my camera working again (turns out it was only a dead battery. So I will be busy for the next few days doing review of my recent purchases. But I won't do a flip through of my copy of this book; instead I will refer my viewers to your channel. Silly doubling up when you have done such a great job.

I believe they suits that he worn with the neck jewelry we’re called totem pole suits they were very showy and a lot of details to take away from him being bloated. There is a picture of him sitting on stage the is in this book in a totem sitting down and drinking something no one thought anything of it because he would lay on the stage at times but the picture u show he actual had so kind of episode of Illness where he felt Ill and week and I believe sat on the piano bench because he was sick and felt weak and I think he went to the hospital after words. The cross that u pointed out that he is wearing with Jackie Wilson was a cross Linda Thompson had made for him he wore that quite often. There is a black suit that is embroidered with gold rope absolutely beautiful I believe it was early 70s omg it was amazing tiger suit he wore had to do with his karate school and the song tiger man but the 2 piece suits he was hiding the bloat. Also the high collar on everything he worn going back to the 50’s was because he believed his neck looked weak he didn’t think his neck looked strong he said it was puny so that’s were the high collars came from hiding his neck he had a lot of insecurities for being the most famous man and gorgeous man on the planet he always thought that his twin brother that died at birth would have been better then he was he had very deep feelings about certain things and would always question why he lived and his twin died he also had a lot of pain mental pain that took him over you can start to see that in his face in 1972 a sadness looking pale and this was because Priscilla had moved out of Graceland and was living with her boyfriend but still married and took Lisa Marie and this is when u see him looking different sad like he had the world on his shoulders Priscilla started cheating on him before they were married a year with anew born baby that she would leave with Graceland staff while she would go meet her dance teacher who she was cheating on her new husband in 1968 while he was filming the 68 comeback she was dating her dance teacher which she actually put in her book Elvis and me. There were many men in her life during and after there marriage I do think that there was more to their marriage then love I believe her parents saw this as a great opportunity for their daughter and she took full advantage. Their divorce decree stated that she change her name back to maiden name which she did but after he died had it changed back to PRESLEY I think that says it all and she created a nice life for herself built on his name…..and also was living with a boyfriend that was inappropriate with Lisa Marie sexually as a child but she also would just drop her off at the Scientology church and tell them to HANDLE her for months

His jumpsuits where designed by him many of them had an American theme his jump suits were based on a karate Gia in 1969 he did wear a black suit that was almost identical to a karate Gia in 2 pieces with a karate style belt later years he did wear a few 2 piece suits because he was bloated a blue suit with a phoenix he also worn a beige 2 piece suit with a suede look to it because he wasn’t comfortable in his jumpsuits because of his self image

You commented that Elvis never played to an arena that was not full (around 8:39) This is incorrect, he may well have sold out all his concerts, but selling out is different to having a full arena with every seat filled. You only have to watch "Aloha From Hawaii" to see empty seats in the auditorium, stage right near the stage ramp that flows into the audience. There are several empty seats. These may well have been sold, but they were empty.

Neck jewellery - you mean the choker? That is what that style are called, Princess Diana favored them. I don't mind them on Elvis but I think the medallions look better. His jewellery, rings and all, were absolutely fantastic. Not for everyone, but he could get away with it.

Elvis could wear anything and it would look good, I didn't mind that choker, it looked good on him. I thought that it might have had something to do with his Native American culture his jumpsuit looked Native American. I love anything that he wore.

As for how good Elvis looked up until the last few months of his life, I can confirm that. As Mark mentioned, if you go to my channel and find the videos where I talk about seeing Elvis in November 1976, I describe how incredibly handsome he was. He was a big man, by that I mean tall, with broad shoulders but not fat. He was 41 for goodness sake, we ALL put on weight as we approach middle age, why would Elvis be any different? He looked vibrant, glowed with health when I saw him, despite his health problems as we all know now. What a fighter, what he did for his fans😢😢❤❤❤
