First, Radahn was absolutely insane for inventing that move.
Second, this is just another example of Elden Ring's theme of duality and conflicting identities presented in other battle arts like Eochaid's Dancing Blade, Spinning Weapon and Shard Spiral.
Supposing it can't be put in the Starscourge Greatsword, Monk's Flameblade could be of use if you wanted to look like him.

Ye my parfumer build is going to be fun :) it just does not get the attention it deserves
yeah i know, i'm so excited for this weapon. my favorite build was a themed "monster hunter" build that used perfumes and throwing weapons along with whips and crossbows, so adding this weapon to that character is so amazing for me!

@@crowquet56 it was so fun, it made me feel like a Belmont from the Castlevania games the whole playthrough, slowly gaining the weapons and tools needed to slay the monsters pretending to be gods

I'd take any Nioh weapon over any Elden Ring weapon.
Combat is lame in Elden ring.
You only have like 4-5 moves per weapon that's it and no stamina to proper wield any of them. It's like your character is disabled on purpose. Slow, untrained, basic. Most of Sekiro's moves in Elden ring are useless against bosses and too much against regular enemies.
Milady seems the only real improvement here, we all know martial arts weapons will be near useless poise wise and power wise. Only good VS trash mobs. Same goes for throwing weapons.
I don't know, overall the combat isn't well thought. Especially when enemies have infinite stamina (bosses), and are infinitely more agile than you are. You end up spamming one move over and over to win... Not the idea of a good combat system in all honesty.

Besides, because the added power stancing, guard counters & ash of war, player can use 4 spells alongside dual wielding any desired weapons of any specific class
A full blown Glinstone frost warrior can spawn magic darts, ice storm, turn into a moon, uses frost magic greatsword & frost induced dual katana or a full blown dragon warrior that can summon lightning storm, breathe glinstone fire & slams a massive clawed dragon paw onto the ground without flinching because hyper armour rules in Elden ring

I've dreamt for so long, of expansions to Holy, Rot, Gravity, and any and all of Elden Ring's neglected magic types. Of new moves based on boss movesets and completely unique attacks to match the sheer spectacle of the new weapon types.
5 more days, as we await release: to wield these new weapons, ashes, and spells at long last. With even more likely awaiting us in the vastness of the Land of Shadow.
Poetic speech aside, these moves are all absolutely amazing: each one feels like From putting more and more into the spectacle of what the player can do than ever before. I cannot be happier: the 21st can't come quickly enough.
Please please From gives us some more Death Sorcery spells! And more int/fth weapons. I beg of thee!

@@gianni.sacciloto There's a lot more because in total theres over 100 new weapons which includes the 8 weapon categories plus the old categories as well. So there's going to be quite a bit we are missing, be it milady having wingstance only or who knows what, its the only light greatsword we've seen that im aware of.

I'm really curious to see what power stancing looks like on the new weapon types. The fists obviously powerstance with themselves, but the great katana and the light greatswords might have some interesting options when powerstanced
They say the perfume bottles are infuseable imagine powerstanced lightning and poison perfume bottles

given that the sorceror build was 50/50 int/fth, seems kinda weird it had the generic finger seal and Astrologer staff, and not golden order seal and Gelmir staff for better split scaling. the spells that seem like they do bad damage might be really good with better casting tools and talismans
Yeah its hard to really tell how these spells are. The caster build was pretty troll: split int/fth build with finger seal/astrologer staff, and scarseal / 5 INT talisman / 5 FTH talisman AT RL150...
Yea it was kind of a baffling choice for a character, they made it look like it's crap. Sad thing is split faith/int characters are actually the strongest casters but you need staff of guilty, golden vow, howl of shabriri, fgms, magic circle, and it's actually stronger for sorceries than int due to access to buffs and only about 5-10% weaker with incants but then you can manipulate every weakness. But nooo they couldn't give people half the equipment you'd normally have thus far. Even the other classes were super weak. I can tell i'll just bumrush this cursed blade thing, facetank trade it with ease.

Light greatsword feels like how regular greatswords should have been since dark souls 1. They've been way too slow the entire series, im so excited to use them.

I mean yes but also no for balancing reasons, also the light greatswords look more like a traditional longsword rather than the arming sword that the longsword currently looks like.
Ontop of that in reality in a game like this you couldn't swing a blade around like we can in real life fights because in real life fights that's not how things work at all, what you see of videos against the air or against a dummy is not even close to a duel and then most duels are point based so a lot of things no longer matter.
I will agree the swing speed is a bit slow, but if it was much faster you'd break the entire game in the first place

Light Greatswords looks amazing, easily the most stylish moveset. Great Katana looks really strong too and Flame Knight Greatsword has Godslayer Greatswords moveset with amazing weapon art (Impaling Thrust with projectile and buff). I think these 3 will be absolute meta
The Light Greatsword reminds me of Alucard from Castlevania on Netflix, specifically when he's using his Estoc-style Greatsword.
