    Thank you for this video. I have one question. I want to remote desktop through the internet from another location to screencapture a youtube live event. Is that possible?

      You can remote desktop over the internet. You just need to think about security. I run an openvpn server on my LAN and then that means I can remote desktop to a Mach on my LAN from anywhere over the internet.

    Is there anyway to do this when you are not connected to your wifi network

      Do you mean outside of your network? I connect outside of my network by running an OpenVPN server on my network and then using a OpenVPN client on the device I want to connect from.

      Does your windows addition support remote desktop. It's only available on professional and enterprise editions. It won't work on home edition.

    I'm guessing this won't work on Windows 10 Home? If not, is there a way to remotely connect to a PC running that from an Android device? Thanks in advance.

      W10 Home does not allow native Remote Desktop, nor does it have Group Policy. You could explore using an alternative like Chrome Remote Desktop, anydesk or TeamViewer.

    • @Builtbypete
      @Builtbypete  Місяць тому

      It's the user name and password that you usually use to unlock your PC.

      Ok. I haven't come across that before. Do you have a Microsoft account. If so try that username and password.

      My guess, more than 60% of all windows user are still on 10. Win11 is a small 20% ish take up. There are about 1.5 billion windows machine in the world so probably 900 million ish still on Win 10.
