The NBA should apologize to Abdul Rauf ending his career in the prime of his game. He should be in the hall of fame.

BasketballJones48021 his name is Mahmoud he doesn't want to be called Chris jackson just like how ali didn't want to be called clay, because they're slave names. So mahmoud could ball, and he had one of the greatest pull-up jumpers ever

why is it that apparently only muslim names are considered non-slave names (considerd by of course muslims)?
There are so many cultural legit and original african - non muslim - names to choose.

Abdul-Rauf was a gun along with Mutumbo, Robert Pack, Rodney Rogers, Jalen Rose, Laphonso Ellis and Brian Williams this team should of gone on to bigger and better things after their upset of Seattle in 1994. Dan Issell suggests his biggest regret was signing Dale Ellis suggested Reggie Williams and Ellis were a cancer in the lockyer room. Williams and Rogers were traded by the time this season was being played.

@dcc1980 : What did Dale Ellis do to the young Nuggets core of Dikembe Mutombo, Robert Pack, Rodney Rogers, Jalen Rose, LaPhonso Ellis and Bison Dele that made him a cancer in the Nuggets' locker room?

Imagine if he was more consistent. He could go for thirty points one night and five the next night. That's why he never lived up to expectations. The Nuggets drafted him #3 in 1990 to build the franchise around him and within two years he was almost out of the league as a bust. The league was far more physical in the 1990's and his style didn't fit as well as it would have today.

Everybody talks about how good he is. U hear people say was he should be in the hall of fame. He is one of the all time greats scoring. If you mean college then ok. But in the nba he played NINE seasons. He never averaged more than 19 a night. His career numbers were 14.5 pts, 1.9 reb, 3.5 ast and shot just a little over 34% from the 3pt line. He was never an all star. And had 5 years prior to the controversy to become one. Yall stop
