Considering that Xochitl Gomez booked a role in an MCU film, I don't blame her for not being able to return to the BSC. It could be huge for her career! Excited for the new Dawn, though I wish it could've been worked out so that Dawn could have been written out or being just a guest, so XG could've returned later if her schedule was clear. But the new one is so lovely, so I can't wait to see what she does in Dawn's shoes!!

I’m guessing that they’re are a few reasons why she isn’t returning. Scheduling is definitely one possibility but also could be something written in her contract with the MCU that states she can’t do certain roles and considering that she was one of the main 5 in BSC and Netflix is an opposing streaming service to Disney+...regardless I can’t wait to watch her as America Chavez

Why didn’t they just write dawn out and bring in Shannon like the books? They could have left the door open for Xochil to make guest appearances just like in the books.

They’d probably already written the script before Xochi got the other role. Some sources say that Dawn has a key role in the storyline for S2, so it would have been difficult to completely write her character out of the story

Idk what you mean how she looked like dawn being a babysitters club fan since the series came out ... I’m disappointed they had to make the characters look sooo diff from the books. I understand why but classics shouldn’t be changed. Even the storylines were changed. But the young actors do a great job in the new series especially Claudia her and Kristy are the only ones that actually look like the regular characters .
