Thank you, Sara! I appreciate your comment and feedback. 🙏🏽 There will be plenty more of these. I will be uploading another live streamed lesson with one of my previous learner drivers. I also have a recorded and edited lesson you can see here: ua-cam.com/video/MPo9JimVRKs/v-deo.html
Just a quick question: Lets say, I want to turn right from a side road to main road, and its peak hour traffic. The main road has tram routes. Now, At the end of the side road is a STOP sign, so I am stopping compeletely. Since its peak hours, i dont have any visibility of the oncoming traffic on the other side of the road and the vehicles on both sides of the road are blocking my visibility for trams too. In that case, how should i proceed to take the right turn ? 1) Should i block the road just behind the tram tracks and stall the car traffic coming from right momentarily to see the trams ? (Wont I be stalling that traffic while I am checking for trams ? ) 2) Should I wait in the tram tracks and wait for the other side traffic to halt and then take a right turn (What if at this stage, a tram needs to halt for me ?) 3) Should I wait behind the stop sign till ALL road is clear, and then proceed for right turn ? (Wont I be stalling the traffic behind me in this case ? ) All above for vicroads test and for day to day driving, too.
Stopping completely before the sign/line will make sure you have obeyed the rule. Once that's done, you can roll forward as much as possible to get some vision, but do not block the traffic. You can move on to the tram tracks fully, provided there is no 'visible' tram. If you cannot see a tram, it's basically blind luck. If a tram is approaching when you move out from the side street, you would then have to stop and block the traffic on the road... If this does happen, once the tram has proceeded, move yourself on to the tracks on a slight 1pm (60°) angle so that you are not sticking out on the road blocking traffic and you can see the traffic from the left or right through your corresponding front side window. Wait till safe, then proceed. If you are on the tram tracks and a tram comes, the tram will have to wait until you can go safely. Don't rush the situation! I would suggest booking in a practical driving lesson with me. You're entitled to a referral discount coming from UA-cam. Explaining this via text is not good enough. I have responded to your other question which might help with this question. I do want to make a comprehensive video on this subject asap.
at 25:46 here in Portugal you have always to turn the sign if you dodge obstacles . At that moment the signal was not turned on i dont know if that rule does not exist there
This is a requirement when necessary. For example, this is a quote from our drive test criteria: "diverging by less than the width of the car in circumstances where it is necessary to warn other road users of the intended movement (e.g. to indicate that the applicant intends to overtake a parked car before allowing an oncoming vehicle to pass)." In the timestamp that you shared, we could have signalled right after the parked car with boot open and person at the rear end but the oncoming vehicles were relatively far away and by the time we were close, we could pass each other slowly and then after the parked van there was no oncoming vehicle. There also may not have been many vehicles behind to warn and it was obvious what we were doing. I understand this is important and I certainly teach to indicate when diverging, especially moving around parked cars but it's more so if we had to stop behind a parked car to then move around it and continue up the road. Thanks for your comment and discussion. :)

Explanations so detailed, driver was so calm. Refreshing indeed 😌
That's the difference when educating a more experienced driver, I was able to throw in a lot of detail. 🙏🏽
Great quality, great educational tool! I'd love to see more of these!!
