This needs more views and recognition! The Queens are on point! The drama is very pinoy - teleserye levels mga vaccla! The camera angles and lightning needs improvements tho. A bit awkward din ang banters between the queens and Mama Pao. Other than that I couldn't ask for more! Vaccla Pakak!
Look: I love this show!!! The 1st episode and already a DRAMA-MAMMA just with the entrance looks and acquaintances! LOVE IT!!! At the same time, girls give such friendly vibes; they differ from the other girls in the franchise. They know it is a competition, but they do not look at the rest of the competitors as predators but as friendly rivalries. And judges: they are so straightforward with their critiques. They don't offend, but they are very strict and distinctive. The RPDR has almost lost that because of possible future issues with insulting the girls competing. But, the Philipino judges do not try to soften the edges, and I like it! Still, I am learning about Philipino drag culture and have some questions: is it a common thing to speak using in the same sentence both words from Philipino and English languages? Also, what is the theme with the exact shape of shoulders that queens were wearing on the stage - is it a typical shape for the Philipino national female costume? And something I didn't like: 1) camera - it was shaky, sometimes out of focus, not professional that I am used to watching the other drag race franchise 2) sound - my goodness...FIRE that person who was in charge of the sound!!! I had to watch the show in headphones, which I usually don't do: the sound was so low that I could barely hear the queens 3) subtitles at the top - an interesting choice. I am trying to get used to it.
we are very versatile in languages and most of the filipinos are used to code-switching so most of the time we use a total of three languages in a sentence (filipino, spanish, and english) also it helped that english is one of our official languages here, that being the language of our documents and such. now, for the dress, it is called a filipiniana and it’s distinctive design is the shoulder pads, it’s a formal wear but it’s not a common outfit to wear anymore today. for the camera problems, i agree. i did have a hard time watching a few couple minutes of the first episode as the cameras are evidently shaking and sometimes even out of focus. but, i just want to point out that the werkroom they have is quite small, that means large camera equipments like stands and such either can’t fit on the studio they are filming on or it’s just not practical so they decided to go through with the filming hand-held (this is evident in the design challenge and the walk through of the judges). for the sound, this is actually my main complaint, i barely hear anything watching the first episode on my laptop, so i connected it to the tv, naturally, our tv gets real loud at 40% volume already but for this show i had my tv on 100% volume and i’m still not satisfied by the sound (atleast i can hear it now, i guess), it could do a little fixing for me as well. for the subtitles though i did not have a problem with it as i speak the language anyway but i was watching and as the subtitles were above, they were also being put below (atleast on the streaming site i was watching on) so yeah. anyway, all these production choices are… choices but i just want to give you context that as a regular viewer of filipino television and content, this is already an upgrade for us because comparing that to reality shows and even dramas here in the ph, it really lacks the “western” quality of cinematography and production. perhaps it’s the lack of support from the government or the big production companies, which is a pity as filipinos are CREATIVES creatives. anyway, for me those production flaws can be overlooked by the overflowing personality of the queens (really, no filler queen in SIGHT!) but i can see how that can be distracting for others. sorry for an essay of a reply but i am really just so passionate about showcasing the filipino drag to the world so i hope y’all still watch and support this franchise! tldr; production choices… are a choice. but queens are all great so watch the show still
That Xilhouete entrance gives same vibes when you and your girls from work go out for some fun but the coincidentally meet your boss there and now your 're forced to interact. 😬

Watching this again because i miss them ❤
i’m so excited the girls look so good
MABUHAY PILIPINAS!🇵🇭❤️
Yes it is very common to mix both English and Filipino, it comes naturally. Regarding the dress, you must be referring to the Filipiniana dress
we are very versatile in languages and most of the filipinos are used to code-switching so most of the time we use a total of three languages in a sentence (filipino, spanish, and english) also it helped that english is one of our official languages here, that being the language of our documents and such. now, for the dress, it is called a filipiniana and it’s distinctive design is the shoulder pads, it’s a formal wear but it’s not a common outfit to wear anymore today.
for the camera problems, i agree. i did have a hard time watching a few couple minutes of the first episode as the cameras are evidently shaking and sometimes even out of focus. but, i just want to point out that the werkroom they have is quite small, that means large camera equipments like stands and such either can’t fit on the studio they are filming on or it’s just not practical so they decided to go through with the filming hand-held (this is evident in the design challenge and the walk through of the judges). for the sound, this is actually my main complaint, i barely hear anything watching the first episode on my laptop, so i connected it to the tv, naturally, our tv gets real loud at 40% volume already but for this show i had my tv on 100% volume and i’m still not satisfied by the sound (atleast i can hear it now, i guess), it could do a little fixing for me as well. for the subtitles though i did not have a problem with it as i speak the language anyway but i was watching and as the subtitles were above, they were also being put below (atleast on the streaming site i was watching on) so yeah.
anyway, all these production choices are… choices but i just want to give you context that as a regular viewer of filipino television and content, this is already an upgrade for us because comparing that to reality shows and even dramas here in the ph, it really lacks the “western” quality of cinematography and production. perhaps it’s the lack of support from the government or the big production companies, which is a pity as filipinos are CREATIVES creatives. anyway, for me those production flaws can be overlooked by the overflowing personality of the queens (really, no filler queen in SIGHT!) but i can see how that can be distracting for others.
sorry for an essay of a reply but i am really just so passionate about showcasing the filipino drag to the world so i hope y’all still watch and support this franchise!
tldr; production choices… are a choice. but queens are all great so watch the show still
It's the "yawa" & "piste" for me lmaoo GO QUEEEENSSSS!!! ❤️❤️🤩🤩🥺🥰
This is going to be so freaking good.. I'm tell y'all it's goin blow up 💥👆🏼💗
I have to agree with the camera works. It's horrendous but the queens are amazing!
I love the energy of this show.
Viñas and Minty are my top 2, they are killing it
That Xilhouete entrance gives same vibes when you and your girls from work go out for some fun but the coincidentally meet your boss there and now your 're forced to interact. 😬
OMG it’s #34 Trending here in PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭! This is huge for us Filipinos 🔥
