Made a "Short" of it...got 180 vieuws already 😳 Hahahahaha, allmost more than all the rest together. But who knows will give the "Channel" a bit more momentum, though I kind of like it small and cozy... 😁 Fijne week ! 🤘🦁🤘
Ive heard the bundles are the way to go, opened to 5 loose packs and got city on fire, old og vorinclex and mastermind, my bundle had urabrask and full art elspeth, honestly really nice
I buy bundles for the dice lol, everything else is kinda bonus. It doesnt justify the expense of the dice but at least i dont feel like i lost much. If i get good cards im happy. If i really want specific cards i will order them as singles or try to trade for them, everything that doesnt fit my particular build or playstyle is bulk to me. That doesnt mean it has no value, there are alot of valuable cards that i just dont play with. I guess it could be called method collectionism. Since value can be so unstable or subjective i have a hard time collecting for this reason. I sold the mass portion of my collection recently, at a loss to reduce the overall weight and get those extra cards to other players who may need them. Now instead of thumbing through 70,000 cards i only need to poke through about 5,000 and it has made building go from many hours to about 45 minutes. There is only a momentary regret when i think about a rare or common that i had but sold, as the new stuff changes older card relevance but its only a moment, i left myself plenty of wonderful stuff to choose from and play with. My heaviest regret was from selling whole collections twice, but ive learned my lesson in that regard. And simplified my processing time for what i have kept. I lost a fraction of my ability for heavily synergistic building but thats okay, as time goes on im sure WotC will print or reprint notable cards i used to have with better versions that i can buy single and since the value keeps dipping it costs less to reaquire those cards. It also reduces my costs for deckboxes, sleeving, and shelf space as im only building/rebuilding and using a few decks at a time anyway. Im always wishing you luck on your pulls, sometimes i would rather see you having a "mail day" where you are opening cards you want instead of the gamble on sealed product, seems less costly. Because im curious how much you actually lose expense-wise in sealed versus what you get in ultimately playable cards. Would it be more cost effective to buy a 50$ card and get exactly what you need over buying hundreds of dollars and only getting niche cards that mainly hit the cutting room floor or edges of your deckbuilding. Im not against the gamble but i have to admit- ive spent thousands over the years on sealed and really only walked away with a few 5 to 6 hundred dollar decks when i couldve possibly just assembled those decks and saved thousands. Its not easy to think of the game in this sense and requires alot of experience along the way. For me i had to buy alot of sealed, build with it, find the themes and archetypes i really love and then go through the bulk speration into refinement before i knew what was necessary for my collection in the end. Its backwards. But now i can progress forward without the gamble being such a large part of the process. In the end it has and will save me big time. Subconscious hoarding is a real issue at stake here. Its costing people fortunes.
I totally understand. The sealed product approach is always a gamble. But I like to open at least a few boxes from a new set to get a feel for the Set. But ultimately buying collections is the a better approach. Just not much in Canada these days.
@@MattcasterMage its funny because im stuck in a kind of limbo scenario- part of me wants to sell everything and just leave the game entirely and part of me wants just a bare minimum of cards i love so i have something to do on the weekends. Since i dont go party or have any big expenses. To me- regardless of actual value my mini collection is probably close to about 5,000$ but could i sell it for that? HIGHLY DOUBTFUL. Less so in the current economy. So i have to look at it from a completely different perspective: There is a huge difference between what i want and what i can get and no matter what it seems to look like what i want will always be more expensive than the worth after i get it. So with that in mind and my experience over the years ive had to decide that the initial investment is lost, pure and simple, however any further investment will be so specific that the loss will be imperceptible or completely nil. The hardest part is considering everything as an immediate loss. Its just a game, we spend money for tickets to see games like sporting events and often those losses are written off. The real meaning is how much joy is extracted in the exchange. We dont have alot of time to actually ectually extract joy from everything and often we are lucky to get moments of it. I suppose what concerns me most is how much attachement we have to the game instead of the people in our lives. Magic should be a conduit and not the definition. Its good your lady has interest in the game, as i have seen alot of the strength in relationships go out the window because of odd investments that werent in the interests of everyone involved. Not my business, merely observational and actual experience. When the time comes for you to part with or parcel out your collection will you have a plan of action? Because the larger a collection gets the harder it is to define its overal value and find buyers who are willing to meet those expectations. More than that all the time required to make a listing for the inherent values. Thats often why collections find their way into ebay and goodwill lots. Its a daunting task and defining whats important and needed is better while youre young and capable. Im by little means old but im not young for sure and i simply dont want to be sorting and pricing as i get any older lol. Especially with household, work and social pressures.
So I guess the rumor about augmented list pulls in bundles is BS...i was hoping for some kind of error in the packaging but it is clearly not the case Thanks Matt for the opening!
I am glad I watched you open these packs. This set looks horrible to play and not much here for edh. I’ll pick up some singles, but can live through your misadventures.
The Invasion of Ergonomics was terrifying, neck pillows and gel wrist pads just slaughtered and compleated
I pulled a Ragavan from a bundle box and I was stoked!
I pulled a Wrenn and Realmbreaker + a ton of other rares and cards I stuck straight in my decks. Had a blast opening my bundle too!
Where you getting a bundle for 35 dollars Canadian? That's twenty bucks cheaper than what I've been able to find.
It was 48cad so just converted from USD
Bundle Up Everybody, the HEAT is on the way! 🤘🦁🤘
My first collector was a 3 Mythic pack, so no complaints and hoping for more spice! 😎
@@savannahlion3081 i hope you videotaped it would love to see it on youtube❤

Here in the US these bundles there have been whole boxes where every pack has a list card. Mine was 6 out of 8.
Nice! But man, you have to get a better camera set up. Top down will help you loads.
I got a Sheoldred and Etali in my bundle! I was so happy
Why would I buy a booster that has cards I can’t use in standard
Man, I got 7 list out of 8, sword of Feast and Famine was the best one. I got a full art Rowan’s talent, and regular frame non foil Jin and Sheoldred.
sweet opening!
Got Elesh Norn out of my bundle box! Plus two packs were loaded. 5 rare/mythic in each pack.
How is the limited format looking?
Goodluck
My bundle was one of the ones with a list pull in every pack
I came here to see if the rumor about the bundle set boosters each having a list card was true or not.
35 is totally worth it. I just paid $53 at Walmart for it
Ive heard the bundles are the way to go, opened to 5 loose packs and got city on fire, old og vorinclex and mastermind, my bundle had urabrask and full art elspeth, honestly really nice
My two list cards were acidic soil and price of progress, so I guess wizards really want me to play burn
how did you spend $35 on that, its $50 everywhere in toronto ... need your inside scoops
wish my lgs had those for $35 lol mine was $45:(..They are loaded btw even at $45 a box still made +20 on each box in vaule
I thought the bundles had tons of list cards- darn.
Oh-ju-tay lmao 😂😂
Much better pulls 👍... don't buy prereleases, buy bundles Matt😊👍
Noted!

3 players get NONE ! 🤘🦁🤘

I paid 59 at my lgs on prerelease for a bundle and pulled a foil ragavan made up for my lgs high ass prices
35 is a good price tbh, I try to support LGS but prices are at least 40+..... however these bundles have been kind to me
