If you are transferring from a DoD Secret clearance to a DoE L clearance and then hear on day one of orientation that the DoE is processing an upgrade for a Q clearance, does this affect you if you interview for a DoD job that requires your former Secret clearance? I'm concerned about the lengthy wait times for the DoE Q clearance and how this might impact my job prospects. Let's say you get that job which pays higher and you decide to go for it and drop the DoE, would the DoD be able to pull your old secret level status or that's lost at this point due to the DoE transfer process?

Hi, can you please do an episode on the Federal Aviation Administrations security clearance process?
I think Q is for quantum.
