Heard about this project from Bubba and my friends in Roomful. Although I was somewhat skeptical at first, they assured me that Neil was the real thing, had impecable taste and they were right because it is a beautiful album. Pat nails the material. Some of my fondest memories are the two appearances on Carson, especially when members of Ed Shaugnessy's band left their riser for the first and only time to augment the Roomful Horns. Bob was very proud to have played with Neil and Pat and the song "So Long" and the picture of Bubba in the cd's booklet always tug on my heart. Pat's interview on Carson was magic; witty and down to earth, she impressed as much as a person as she does for her obvious talent as a singer. Class act all around.
I did enjoy it yes...but for any sequels, I'll vote for Crimes of Passion 2 LOL

This was one of the most fun albums that I've ever owned. Very different from your other albums, obviously, but it was magnificent! Love it!!!

Loved em' all, but this one .. a treat for REAL music fans. So glad you both got to showcase your talents in an alternate genre. Quick story...was in radio when this came out ..played the CD for our resident blues presenter...and not only did you make it onto the playlist...but you created new fan and countless other crossover fans. just recently going through my albums and cassettes.Found cassette of true love.What a gem!I encourage any Pat Benatar fan to check out this album.The rocker chick can do blues and big band.
Pat, during your hey day and 89 your music and your voice were so relatable mostly I believe you can sing the blues just as well as you sing hard rock
