I am 14 and I visited California for the first time a few weeks ago. The first thing I wanted to do was visit Norms. Ever since I visited the store I get sad watching these videos because I didn't get to meet Mark or shake his hand. (: (;
Ever since my mom bought me my first real guitar for my 12th birthday, a 91 sg standard, ive loved them. Well i guess it started before then with angus and then tony. Oh and ps, neck heels vary widely depending on era and model, junior, standard, special, studio what have you. Not a big deal for some folks but i have found some of the older ones feel weird to me after becoming used to the more modern feeling of my 90s standard. Just a little food for thought if you're thinking of one especially if its something you aren't going to get to play first.
I got a 1982 Les Paul standard for less than half price because it was routed for a Kahler... yea, the hole is worth the sound lol. That guitar was actually made like 8 days after Mark was born funny enough

Just found this playlist. It is great. Love the Keef guitars. Some sources claim his black pickguard tele custom is a 72 and others claim it is a 75. Love to get the definitive answer to this question. Oh and his dan Armstrong was (supposedly) a prototype.

My rec to whomever buys this, do NOT take off the pickup covers. Yes, it will look cooler (BTO style) but the tone will change. Some say the mids get increased. For me, i lost the Bite.
Mark ... could you build in an occasional guitar playing explanation to your playing? (the form of a chord, the scale, the key, whatever's easy in about 30 seconds.)

Great guitar! Les hated the SG at first, (The SG became the #1seller). Gibson was already selling them with his name, so there was a period where he didn't collect royalties ($1.00 on the Les Paul)... He wasn't even all that mad but it was time for a royalty contract renegotiation!
This same guitar was used by Duane Allman when he left the Doobie Brothers and joined the Marshall Tucker band. From there, he went on the form the Allman band, mainly because, i.e., they didn't let ladys in the band.
