12:30 There are some interesting statistical considerations you have to give when comparing the performance of items. It's not always "this item performs better therefore it makes the unit stronger than the other". It can perform better for many more indirect reasons. Off the top of my head for the DB performing better on Ashe than GS example: 1. It can perform better because players who prefer to build DB for Ashe tend to have better decision-making skills in other aspects of the game than those who prefer GS. 2. It can perform better because there's some advantage conferred from the implied components, such as being able to build a DB means you had enough swords to spend on it, or building GS meaning you were getting excess bows, or building GS means you maybe failed to build a rageblade or last whisper, etc. So, in regards to that example, maybe GS actually is better on Ashe than DB when cancelling other more indirect factors out. Of course, it can very well also be the case that the item choice does just make the unit itself stronger on average, but I'm just saying it's not always the case. Just something to keep in mind.
While true in general, in this case GS has additive % dmg scaling with snipers whereas raw AD stacks multiplicatively with the sniper dmg bonus. This is also the reason why IE is so good on Ashe because crit multiplies with the dmg bonus which multiplies again with AD. Additionally the 'better players -> better items' argument is offset by a) setting the minimum elo to higher and b) the fact that very good players still slam off meta items for tempo very frequently especially as a third '+ 1'.
@@priddl3 yep, people always slam ok item (not BIS) to save lives or to streak, but those stats got cancelled out when people slam those item and it perform badly, compare to if it is BIS items it will always perform better than other. That is why stats don't lie
