He has always been my favorite of the group. I usually feel like he's foreshadowed but the fact that he was able to play such an impromptu radical role as well as his actual straightforward character in the same session with ease is so great. He's always fast on a joke but just as willing to progress a story without it feeling forced for the rest of the group. Earndil will always be my favorite frustrated pathfinder/leader of these campaigns. He plays the role so well it's always the highlight of the streams for me.
@@Chromeberd i used to worry when he was still playing reeb that he wasnt actually having fun but seeing the subtle differences when he played arnold and now baldric i realize it was just him being an excellent roleplayer. Baldric being externally sane but secretly unhinged really comes through in this show. Like even when hes out of character he still adopts his party role. Speakers roleplaying is also excellent tbh, sure hes always an element of chaos but as he showed in fantasy he can be much more reserved and allow zoran to be the main element of wacky misadventures, or with rotgrind he follows in the footsteps of pi braine in playing an externally crazy but internally very emotional character.
@@iharpo9292 I agree. Speaker is the chaotic element and the opposite to Earndil's role. I love Speaker's imaginative spontaneity. But Earndil is the enjoyable opposite to that role. The rest of the gang have their own motives but Earndil progresses the campaign with rational thought and I feel like in this campaign he's at his brightest and most necessary. Ultimately there needs to be somebody in charge and the caretaker for this "intrepid gang of chucklefucks" And Earndil is the best for it because he's so good at rolling with the punches while delivering his own enjoyable frustrations (as well as almost becoming the GM in this episode which was fucking brilliantly done without stepping over his boundaries somehow). Otherwise the silliness would get out of hand and become pure chaos. I pour my drink out to the one who keeps things together. It's a frustrating role but he plays it so well. I hope his character is something others take inspiration from down the line. He meets the perfect balance between the chaos wrangler without seeming like a "no fun allowed" player. Ultimate respect.

Most of the Narrative Declaration crew has either worked on, or adjacent to, TTS and its successor series in one way or another.
