    Hi there, it's a good looking blaster with a nice silhouette - would take a paintjob nicely too. The single tactical rail may be lacking but the dart storage is Ambi-Bro! Thanks again.

      And thank you for watching. I will say that for the dart storage issue, i plan on making some sort of rig to make sure dart slippage doesn’t happen.

    I think a good Christmas bundle would be to put one these new larger magazine fed blasters would be to put 2 of them with the 80 pack of darts and some targets.

      Ultimate N-Series Battle Bundle: Sprinter / Pinpoint with the Jolt style and 80 darts. Mark it at 49.99

    I think the N series has some promise atleast with the blasters I think they have some major mod potential. Thanks for the review.

      I agree with the promise of potential wholeheartedly. And I really do believe the dart-type shows promise as well, NERF engineers just need to find a way to make it fly a continuous straight path; perhaps an accustrike-1 dart type is in out near future? (DIBS ON A-1 DART NAMING RIGHTS! lol). Thanks for watching!

      @@SecondHandBlasters yeah that’s what I was thinking Accustrike is on the way soon but could be a game changer.

    I can't complain about at or near Rival performance from this new ammo type.... At least for the 1st 8ft. Beyond that, StormTrooper accuracy 👌.

      @SecondHandBlasters  27 днів тому +1

      So, i can complain only because of the marketing done about these darts, the darts themselves are okay, but when you promise one thing, and deliver something else, you need to be called out.
      The dart engineer designed a dart that flies fast and hits soft.
      The marketing team turned that into a magical dart that puts the magic bullet theory to shame with how extremely accurate it is(n’t).

    If your hand or thumb interrupts the recoil feature during firing does it mess up cycling or the shot?

    • @SecondHandBlasters
      @SecondHandBlasters  5 днів тому +1

      That's a good question; I had to take it back out to try it because that was something I didn't think about. So the answer in short is that I wouldn't recommend holding the recoil feature with your hand. The dart will fire, it launched across my studio and made it the 30 feet from one side of the Nerf cave to the next, but the velocity seems to be cut down significantly. I would do a rough estimate of about 20 FPS lower if you hold the recoil part all the way back and prevent it from pushing forward. If it nicks your thumb, not so much. I will note, you have to have a death grip with your thumb to stop that bar from sliding. The ergonomics on this blaster (in spite of the grip being smaller) are top notch for a Nerf product. Looking back, the N-Series seems to adopt some of the ergo-cues from the old rebelle line.

      @@SecondHandBlastersthank you so the thorough reply. I am thinking about picking up the SB for local college HvZ games and my main worry was, knowing how I hold blasters and like gloves, my thumb coming into contact with the recoil/sliding feature. Good to hear the ergo is great! Thanks for the heads up and I’ll be heading to target later today!

      @@GearsLGLF not a problem. I'm glad to spread the knowledge. Interesting choice for an HvZ game, to be honest (and I say that with absolute sincerity). Most people want something that is easy to load (think hammershot). But the ability to hold 18 is definitely a benefit. If you are deciding to do an N-Series build for HvZ, please pick up a Ward as a backup blaster. The two shot smart AR works well and it's compact size makes it an ideal pocket blaster as a great weapon of last resort. I'm curious to hear how the HvZ run goes with N-1 darts since a lot of people haven't adopted them yet.

    You have no idea how I like to hear a reviewer sound honest when they say "this is for **fun**, if you don't like fun, go do something else." So tired of the elite number chasers who wouldn't even try an accessory for any reason other than performance improving.

    • @SecondHandBlasters
      @SecondHandBlasters  28 днів тому

      Thank you for the kind words. While I'm guilty of being a performance junkie as well with certain blasters, I like to think that I'm a realist about what the blaster is trying to do. N-Series, IMHO is just Hasbro's way of making a line that keeps the fun/goofy gimmick feel while improving numbers for older kids as well. In that sense it delivers. Performance junkies can stick to the Pro-Line. For modders? Stick to both. Because, where is the fun in modding another Stryfe for the 40th time.

      If I didn't know any better, I would say there is a concentrated effort to flood every review channel with comments about how much people miss coop. Usually from accounts created well after Frank left the Blaster Review game.
      That said... we all miss him. He was legend.

      @@SecondHandBlastersnaw. There are lots of great nerf creators, and we wish them well, but coops reviews followed a perfect simple formula that made it so easy to find the necessary info about a given blaster.
      Ive watched lots of great reviews since he left, yet i too still find myself missing him, and surprised nobody has tried to replicate what he did.
      No concentrated effort, and i dont post comments like the above...but i totally empathize.
      Nice vid! Im gonna pick up one of these for sure!

    Their not cheap. I'm all in favor of Hasbro getting away from full length Elite darts. It doesn't necessarily make it tougher to mod them for darts when modding them. 😎
    I, for one, am excited for the new better than elite, or ultra ammo. I'd say, it's an improvement.

    • @SecondHandBlasters
      @SecondHandBlasters  27 днів тому

      I don’t know about better than Ultra. Ultra got a bad rap because of marketing. I actually quite enjoy the Ultra dart blasters. But they are an improvement in quality over Elites.
      As for cheap, are we talking about inexpensive or quality? Because i don’t think they are cheap quality, N1 is a quality foam dart at IMHO a cheap price (given that they were just released).
