Writing from the USA, we now see the NHS as it really is. Full of heroes. Truly caring and committed people. Thank you all for the work you have done to get this series on the air.
I live and work in San Antonio, TX USA. I work in a micro hospital with 7 emergency beds, 1 doctor, 1 nurse, 1 lab tech and 1 x-ray tech besides myself, I'm the patient registrar. I love watching this show and seeing all the drama and the compassion from the all of the staff. It's nice to see the behind the scenes of this operation works. Great job to all who participate behind the scenes and in front of the cameras! Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see more! :)
I worked in the medical field in the USA for 49 yrs. I love this program as it shows what is going on in a hospital setting. This is a responsible way to show people that don't work in this profession how things work in the hospital.
I am a disabled nurse. I have been nursing for over 20 years. I love this show. I look forward to each episode. Thank you!
Yes, I love this show too. I’ve been sidelined for a long time. I miss the other staff and the patients. I want a critically unstable patient. That’s such a bizarre thing to say, but true. Well, maybe next week.
Are you in a wheelchair? I've never seen how a nurse works that's disabled
@@juliejustus6878 no I’m not in a wheelchair. Although there are some who do. Unfortunately my license will run out next year. I haven’t been able to practice due to neurological and memory issues.
@@juliejustus6878I am a retired/ disabled RN. Before I retired I applied to many hospitals and care centers, including Hospices. At the time I was using a cane to walk. And although I was really qualified to work, nobody would hire me, despite their claims of EEOC policies.
First documentary I’ve ever seen on how a documentary is made!
💜 Senior Sister Jen! Best A&E nurse
This show is the best always. I'm on watch for every episode. The Hospital staff deserve every commendation. Congrats as well to those who construct the show. Absolutely stellar!
This behind-the-scenes look at 24 Hours in A&E was excellent. I love every episode- can’t wait for a new series!
I am amazed how they produce this series. Well done!
Phenomenal show. It is eye opening yet so sensitive and respectful. Love it….. well done.
I, for one from the USA, love this series! It definitely shows how an ER department runs and the compassion of the doctors and nurses. Keep up the great work!
I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!
I've been a CNA for thirty years. I love this show.thanks so much ❤😊
Thanks for showing this. It does take a lot to bring these episodes to tv. I love this show and hope it never stops. Stay Safe from a Tasmanian Fan ❤🙏👍🤗
Give us more, more, more! 💜
Can’t wait for the new season. Thanks for sharing how this great show is made. ❤❤❤❤
I enjoyed this episode immensely. Bravo Channel 4.
Gawd I love this show! Make more! But I think this one is the most genuine. Sometimes I re watch several times.
I have enjoyed this series so much. The staff is amazing and the care provided top notch. The other thing is giving us the conclusion of the patient’s situation. It’s very heart warming to see how people have healed after their visit to A&E. Thank you to everyone involved.
As an American im amazed at how different things are between here and there. Fascinating and interesting
Yes like you don't see a Visa or Mastercard payment symbol anywhere. There isn't even any for them to take your money!
Thank you to King's, Channel 4 and the production company for showing this documentary. I am an avid watcher of the series and have often wondered how it was made. Now I know and am absolutely fascinated. Can't wait to see the new series. Congratulations to all involved from the hospital staff to the production teams. I just wish we had the NHS here in South Africa 🇿🇦🇿🇦
I just totally love this “show” and look forward to any more A very. sensitive job u do love the people 👍👍👊🏻❤️⁉️💞💞❤️❤️🩹👏👏
A nd the “crew” is top notch👍👍👍👊🏻👊🏻✅✅✅🤩🤩
This is an amazing show. I have learned so much from watching the series!
Love this show from USA 🥰😘🥰
I was a nurse for 42 years this show is so interesting I love watching it, you get to know what’s really happening before the patient comes up to the hospital room. When I saw my patient they were all clean and taken care of already, those nurses and doctors are the once that do the worst part and they are the once that safe their life’s, all we did upstairs is taking care so that they can go home some day. I’m writing from the USA .
I have become a fan! This is sensitively produced and skillfully edited. Thank you ( in the US)
Thank you so much for this programme.
Thank you to all that have participated in this wonderful eye-opening series ❤ Seattle
It's a great show. I love that the patients embrace it as well and we get to hear their stories, even when it's sometimes a sad ending. It's also interesting to see how things get done differently in the UK. Here, you'd never have to wait for a bed in most wards of most hospitals. There are always empty beds. One doesn't have to wait to schedule even elective surgery. Of course their is a high cost for that excess capacity which get's passed along to the patients.
Thanks for posting this. I love this show, and have always wondered how they obtained consent from patients...I would not want to be filmed if I or one of my loved ones were in a life or death situation. I'm always amazed at those who consent and share their stories.
It really shows how ER works and the care the y give to people. The time given each patient is necessary so we learn to wait our turn and know we will so cared for fully.
This series is just incredibly well done. I don't enjoy EVERY minute, but I am totally fascinated with the 'how did they DO that?' question. So glad I stumbled across this episode and now I can find out!
My college degree is in Radio/TV Production, and I think you did such a brilliant job!!!
I've been binge watching this channel for several weeks now since discovering it. I am so impressed with the *utmost care and compassion the staff gives,* and I also say a prayer for all the souls who depart from this mortal world and give thanks to the loved ones and patients who gave their permission in documenting their illness and or urgent care for this profound medical documentary of those who work around the clock in saving lives. Cheers from a tiny island in the middle of the western Pacific...❤
Love this show, so enlightening! This hospital & staff is amazing! I treasure our hospital in the US, getting to see the underbelly is amazing what our facilities go through!🙏💜🙏
I feel like all these doctors and nurses are known to me. They’re like family to me. If I ever visit Britain again, I want to visit this hospital and take them cookies and cakes. It would be such a thrill for me to meet these wonderful folks.💖💜💝
Watching this was so interesting, thanks for sharing it with us all. And to see the work that goes on behind the scenes by the production crews. As we watch we feel that we get to know some of the amazing staff there, and it's great to have their medical skills, genuine care, empathy and goodness shown. Oh and I'm watching this in New Zealand :)
I absolutely love this show!! Great concept and I like the theme music too! The medical profession in the USA truly needs to take lessons from the UK folks!!
In our pay hospitals, we are asked to complete a customer satisfaction card😂. You should come film at RK Khan and King Edward III hospitals
I’m here in the United States and I love this show so much that I watch a few episodes before bedtime every night.
I hope see more of this videos
For me, it’s a love story. How we’re made to look after each other.
Interesting video! I loved it!
Brilliant!
That lovely little girl speaking French is just too precious. She’s a real smarty.💝💜💖
The lady producer is just gorgeous. I’m surprised anyone would say no to that lovely woman.💝
Excellent, seeing what goes into this!
I love hospital videos.
Fantastic job mind blowing to get this show on the road 👍👍👏👏excellent job with you amazing people 👊🏻👊🏻🌟🌟🥰I so love this show amazing beyond belief💖💖🥰🥰🌟✔️🙃
I can only hope that if I ever have to go to an emergency room in the US, that I get treated as well as those in the NHS.
I think these type documentaries people who aren't in the medical field, just how the A&E is ran and how they triage patients in order of seriousness of their injuries. Also shows the stress and sometimes abuse the staff have to deal with.
Ultimately it will be compensation for the Kings Hospital. If It
brought my baby, my toddler or my partner in a lifesaving situation I know for a fact that if everything goes well the patients will come out better for the high calibre systems and team work. I would not at all give a fluff about a camera.
Kevin is adorable 💝
43:30 That woman was so difficult to watch, trying to bully her dying mother into continuing to live (as if it were up to either of them). I cringed when she spoke to her mum like that. While I know she wanted her mum to live, the mum knew the end was near. As someone who watched her own mother die, treating her in the same way was the last thing I'd have done.
Here's the thing. I love this series. I love the NHS. But more than once I've thought that some of the major characters look familiar....actors? I hope not. And I've lived in the US for over 20 yrs.
You’ve seen them in different seasons.
When can I see it in the US. Season 3. Yay❗️
Just think for those of us the USA where we have that gut wrenching pit in our stomach while wondering how much our insurance won't pay for! in 2019 I broke my wrist and it was $9,000 out of my own pocket! My Dad got a pacemaker in 2021 in the UK cost $zero! No insurance premiums, no co pays, no deductibles no max out of pocket. What a concept!
When will there be a new series?
Do people do something to themselves to end up in ER because you are filming?
Bad idea. You’ll end up at bottom of waiting list.
I enjoy the show but from the first episode, the patient privacy for part of their medical history is revealed, is something that would make most clinicians and those who work in hospitals squirm. I recognize that this series basically happened at a time when health information legislation was not exactly in full force. I would be surprised if they could get away with this now, particularly with pediatrics. If the hospital I worked in did this I would ask to be transferred to a different hospital because this is so far beyond what we would consider a violation to patient confidentiality. It's on the internet, it's forever until the individual actually vigorously petitions for it to be off. The other consideration is that the patients being filmed get preferential treatment. One would be silly to think that this does not happen and that consent wouldn't be coloured by that consideration.
I really think patients privacy is sufficiently covered. I’m in the US and every time I go to the doctor or the pharmacy I end up with reams of paper work about it, and I really don’t care. It’s like giving my DNA. I don’t care. I’m not a criminal so I don’t have and qualms about anyone knowing anything about me.🥹
