    I enjoy how these videos separate the serious from the not so serious. the first lesson had over a million views then as the lessons grew higher, the less views you saw. the first video probably had a bunch of people that thought this was cool at first, probably thought they can instantly understand anime now, then as the lessons got harder they realized how tough this was and backed out. I've been studying for 8 months, so I can say for certainty you gotta do a lot of studying on the side if you want to understand this stuff.

    Good video .. I guess it was better not put the informal form for now, but soon when you start to learn verbs forms (e.g. potential, volitional, passive, causative) formal and informal plus the 文末表現 and some other things that will start to appear, these adjectives will simply become much easier

    thanks, arigato gozaimasu sensei, yes I do also find Japanese realy hard to learn. But I will keep on insisting. I already speak 6 languages but all european. and there is almost no words in Japanese that I can built between association from the other languages. I read books, and at work, I see Japan society videos and Waku waku, over and over, like a braing wach but still in one month my progress is low just the basics. I will continue Learning. Mata ne.

    You should start at the beginning by learning the alphabet (hiragana, etc)
    After that learn the basic, like greeting, numbers, etc...
    Then you try something more advance.
    For me, I started when I bought a Japanese dictionary for beginner.

    Learn the patterns, you might not always understand what someone says, but if you know the grammar you can probably guess what they mean. "Nihongo wo yomu koto ga dekimasen." If you know "Nihongo" is "Japanese," and "Yomu" is "Read", you can guess what the rest means because of the negative "masen." It's "I can not read Japanese."

    5:27 What does she mean by "without a な you don't need な"???

    • @poralium196
      @poralium196 6 років тому +4

      Reip I don't know for certain, but from what I learned through other sources is that "na" is used when directly modifying something. For example, saying "ShinsetsuNA ojisan" for "Kind man" as compared to saying "Ojisanwa shinsetsu desu" for "The man is kind".
      I'm still fairly new to this as well, so don't take this as solid fact, but I believe this is the correct way to use or drop "na".
      (Also sorry for the romaji lol)

    • @andreiblue_
      @andreiblue_ 6 років тому +1

      Joshua White No worries, thanks for the reply! I understand that a な is added before the noun it is describing, hence the name な-adjective, and that it is dropped when it stands alone or does not directly modify a noun. I guess I spent too much time trying to understand what she said that I forgot all about the example on the green screen :

      She removed the romanji few lessons back. I would suggest learning hiragana and katakana. On Google play store there's tons of good free apps. What I did was print out both alphabets and started writing all the new words I learned on paper then adding in romanji myself. It really helped me catch on to the alphabets quick.
