Why FPSRussia Stopped Making Videos

- What Happened to FPSRussia? Well, the life of Kyle Myers ended up being even crazier than anyone ever expected, a tragic tale, if you will. In case the things that FPS Russia displayed on his UA-cam channel weren't already crazy enough, there was substantially more that was going on behind the scenes during FPSRussia's 7 year UA-cam Journey. These days, Kyle Myers has impressively maintained his relevancy through the PKA Podcast, however, it has not been without struggle.
This is, The Turbulent Tale of FPSRussia / The Tragic Tale of FPSRussia.
Thank you guys for watching, like and sub if you enjoyed, SunnyV2 XO ❤ - Розваги
I'm legitimately surprised by the amount of people saying they never heard of FPSRussia before. Is everyone here that young or am I that old? Lol.
Edit: For the 62IQ comments (all Wings alt-accounts) the whole point is that back then there was a frontpage that featured actual UA-camrs, and not James Corden and CNN or something. You didn't necessarily need to be interested in CoD or guns to come across his channel. Whiteboy7thst was on top of that frontpage literally almost everyday (who remembers the "pets and animals" drama, lol). You didn't need to like CoD or cats or dolphin diving.

Placing bets the state then used it on the military after taking all of those guns
@@mrtom2854 Seizing anything other than the pot and paraphernalia is ludicrous. We let people drink alcohol which kills people and ruins homes, yet you can have all of your guns and rights be taken away over some pot? That's the real problem here, not the weapons.
@@MyPhoneHas13PercentBattery Actually, it's my understanding that it's all supposed to be destroyed. They likely melted those guns down.

@@jonny6702 you’re right, the point was that they wouldn’t have seized property or assets if it wasn’t the fact that he had that many firearms. They wouldn’t care if it was $400,000 in cars but the ATF wants their greedy fingers on every gun
Wait, so they put this guy in prison, basically stole $400,000 from him and then still have the audacity to turn around and try to fine him $7,500?

Very shady of what the government did as well and how they just came in and took all of his things and arrested him.
That's kind of the whole reason why weed is a schedule 1 drug. There's no actual saftey or justifiable reason for it, republicans simply determined that enough of their political opponents already smoked weed that criminalising something everyone already did gave them a handy excuse to go after almost anyone they wanted and use drugs as an excuse. It also handily happens to be a crime that's extremely easy to frame people for even if they don't by just planting drugs.
Sounds like a big massive set up.
@@DatAsuna The mainstream of the Democratic party also supports the current drug prohibition. It's not a Republican vs Democrat issue, it's an establishment vs the people issue. The Democrats are just as much an enemy of the people as the Republicans are.

He could come back today and still be the number 1 gun channel.
Channels today rarely pull numbers that he pulled in the early days of youtube, when viewership was much lower
Not only would he be #1 in views but he would also be #1 in content. I always loved his videos. But these current gun channels suck, there'd always one annoying aspect or another that plagues each video of any given creator and makes them unwatchable to me.
For instance, I won't say who but I can't stand one guy cuz his humor is so pathetic and dry it feels like his channel is geared towards children and early year teenagers yet it's a channel about shooting guns and details of such weapons 🤷 and I could get over the jokes for the good content but he's got a shitty joke for every cut in the video lmao and at the end of the day the 'good' parts of his content are still nowhere as intriguing or done up as Kyle's old videos

who are the others?
He was doing pyrotechnic stunts and showcasing guns nobody else could in the Georgia backwoods while everybody else was still using webcams in their bedrooms. He was a genuine visionary
I would take it one step farther. I believe that Kyle was one of the 1st to realize how lucrative a YT channel could be when he broke his capture device while doing Modern Warfare 2 videos for his original channel. (He later sold this channel to KrunkSkunk(?) ) He claimed to not have the money to replace the 250$ device and was asking for help from the few thousand viewers he had at the time. He mentioned in a future video that the response was overwhelming and that he received much more than the 250$ and would be donating the rest. Personally i think "much more" was under rated.
If it wasn't him it would be someone else. Probably unboxing toys for kids 7-12. UA-cam fame was a point of time, not a point of talent.

@@nutbastard For me it's the video where he compares a .44 magnum to a 500 magnum shooting a water jug. The first jug exploded, I was already impressed at the firepower of the 44. The second one just disappeard into another dimension. Useless gun irl but it's so badass and powerful.
It’s utterly ridiculous they took all his firearms. I know that’s how the law works so they couldn’t really avoid it but it still stinks.
The law is fucking stupid. What place still jails people for having a bit of hash? Goddamn this shit makes me angry
You have no idea how corrupt the american police system is, i say this as a european, so i cant speak from personal experiance, but from what ive read and heard more money is seized by the police from private citizens than money is stolen by actual criminals. Its really insane how this sort of thing is just allowed to happen
@@autofall6726 money gets seized but they have to prove it was gonna be used for something illegal if they dont they have to return it. Its just more annoying cause they always have a quota
@@ducktape4502 yeah, but false claims always exist. You can always take them to court, but thats probably going to cost more than the seizure anyway.
They probably got a monthly bonus for it, 400k worth of civil forfeiture to resell to conflict-torn countries as the US government? Thats a good haul for any would-be bandit.

Kyle is a legend among the firearms community. What the ATF did to him is unfair.
Government is un fair when it comes to firearms less people with guns less power they have the more power the government has
The government is a damn shame 😡😡!
I was a huge fan of FPSRussia back then and even brought a couple of his T Shirts. But i always had this feeling the feds would eventually come for him just for the content he was uploading.
Watch him on the PKA podcast
He's a real sweet kid.
He and a fellow host (Taylor) are hilarious. There's a third host but we don't talk about him
Woody the unexceptional host lol
@@DaimosZ I've never wanted to hate someone who's actually not a bad guy. I've always had friends with differing views, but man is Woody a whole different breed of human when it comes to opinions. And it wouldn't be so bad if he didn't trample over bits to ask an AMA question or inhale a lot before he talks about the most insane positions possible of any subject
@@grilledlettuce1845 I don't hate Woody either, I wish I had a friend like him irl, I just think it is fun to poke fun at him for his many bad takes.
At least he takes the trolling in stride unlike the *other* former host of PKA

His demo of Dragon’s Breath was FIRE! 🔥
Thanks! Was wondering as well..
I remember this guy from the BO2 commercial. He didn't deserve to lose his channel...
As a german, I dont really know a lot about the other channels mentioned on this channel, but I knew FPS Russia, in fact, I was binge whatching his videos. I feel incredibly sorry for Kyle since he didnt really do anything wrong, he was screwed over by the government.
Knew the guy from back in his CoD days and enjoyed his firearms related videos for the guns and the humor. It's obvious someone in the gov had it out for him. He was being outright harassed. Guess we'll never know what he did to piss off some mayor or senator.
The fake accent alone deserves a decade of incarceration
He was the visionary by which everyone else followed. He was ground breaking in terms of content
Dude you gotta stop mixing cocaine and liquor, it does tremendous things to your head
@@fackynaxicht8603 were you there? Were your paying attention at the time? You’re clueless and detractive.
Now we get the full story. When his friend got killed and he went to jail so many headlines and internet articles were trying to make it look like he killed him.
Seriously how are you gonna raid a dudes house over shorts, and destroy his career over a small bit of weed.
America confuses me.
Land of the free! Where everyone can make it big and live their dreams!
Dude, you forgot that we are a nation that nearly went to war... over LITERALLY JUST the shooting of a pig. [yes i know there were more things, but it was basically that.]
He was basically the right to bear arms personified. There are factions within the country that aren't having that. They had to make an example of him
Our government is playing the long game to take away people's rights. Been going on since the cold war
Cry about America, go to russia or smh, there will always be some cry baby, FPS did make a mistake even if we really like him
OKAY OKAY I’LL WATCH THE VIDEO NOW *STOP RECOMMENDING THIS*
He needs to get the offense expunged from his record. As his charge was a nonviolent offense he can fight this thing and absolutely should. I am a firearms enthusiast as well that throughly enjoyed FPS Russia's videos. If my weapons were confiscated like that I would fight tooth and nail to get them back.
He didn’t deserve this. He did nothing wrong.
he doesnt deserve this, but he did something wrong
@@yuyuko4232 Like what?
Smoking weed is not morally bad thing. He did not do anything wrong.
@@itsjustanapple5452 Morals are subjective, not objective. Just because you don't think something is morally wrong, doesn't mean that other people agree with you. Secondly, "anything wrong" in this situation is based on if it's against the law or not. With that in mind, he did something wrong.

Thanks for making this video! Many people have no idea what happened to this guy. So many unfortunate circumstances put this guys channel in the ground. So sad… 😞
FPS Russia was the most entertaining gun schtick ever. His demonstrations were always a treat.
Good grief - a warrant was issued because he was wearing shorts??? And of course they’re going to cream some person who’s following all of the regulations and has gone so far as to get federally licensed. Really protecting and serving there, guys.
We should mass protest by writing to the gov about how this is unfair!
It's obvious they wanted to get him on something. One could only imagine why.
@@teru797 If you really want to help then look up CRS firearms on yt and donate to his fund. He is currently in a lawsuit with the ATF for selling a picture of an item that can be used to convert a gun to full auto. If he wins it could mean the end of the ATF because they cant make up laws and definitions without congress.
@@Nick-sx6jm thanks for telling
It's horrible what happened to him. I still can't believe he was brave enough to keep any weed in his home after 40 ATF agents raided his home and he had a class 3 FFL license that meant his home could get raided at any time again. I would straight up be driving the exact speed limit everywhere I went if that stuff happened to me.
Yeah I wouldve kept that shit buried a mile out in the woods lol
So having a class 3 means they could just raid his house like that?
@@michaelweston409 Raid? No. Unannounced routine inspection? Yes.
@@jakehorvath9001 it's not even worth having a class 3 in that case. That sounds so unappealing

i used to watch FPSRussia when i was younger
I remember listening to him in an interview talking about the episode where he shoots a car in the door goes flying off right by his head and he said that was unscripted and if that door would have hit him it would have taken his head clean off. I forget which episode that was but I do remember watching and thinking to myself I'm surprised he's not dead yet
Yeah, I remember always thinking that some of the things he was doing were a bit irresponsible and dangerous. Wouldn't be surprised if that's also the reason the government wanted to make any excuse to take his collection. Still sucks, though.
Some other knucklehead did something similar packing an old lawnmower with tannerite and shooting it. A piece of it flew at him and took his leg off. There's a video of it if one is so inclined to take a look.
They took $400k worth of cool toys over 2 ounces of pot. 2 OUNCES
And If they didn't find any drugs, they would have just planted it. It's that easy
I think he said it was only a half ounce. And that it was mainly for his GF.
Loved watching this guy
Welcome to Georgia, you can have as many guns as you want, but no weed lol
I remember watching FPSRussia a lot. I think my father was even watching before he had passed away. Those were some great years! Just sad this is what our government is capable of doing, it sounds like someone in the agency had a personal beef with Kyle.
