All the X amps don't work for me. They sound like a fart no matter the cab or amp setting I'm using. But the Maximum amp is perfect. It's tight with nice bottom. I can feel the punch of a palm mute even in the higher frets.

I’ve found for me I like the sound best when it’s after the amp, especially with a distorted tone. Seems to sound and feel cleaner, and the harmony tracks more audibly.
Hi Dave I just got the V4 Kraken preamp I want to use it with the GT1000core 4CM so I can use the effects in front and after the Kraken preamp And my favourite irs I LOADED IN THE gt1000 how would you hook it up cheers
Check out this vid on hooking up using a real cab. ua-cam.com/video/24zPOcGXtF0/v-deo.htmlsi=sWCceKNKUt7zT3RN I think if you’re wanting to use IRs from GT1000 you would not have the output go back to the return of the amp, instead go to whatever speakers you’re using. (And leave cab IRs switched on) Just remember that you still need something to take the load of the amp, otherwise it’s gonna blow up. I also use a BOSS TAE which has built in cab sim, and you can load IR’s. That works great. Any of the load box/attenuators would do the same.

Pickups are stock. And yeah man, this gold top is amazing. The feel and response is…I can’t even find the words, it’s just awesome to play.

How does the 1987 pedal sound going into the GT-1000?
It works great. I like it especially going into the Natural amp, you get the pedal sound without much colour added.
what if you put stereo chorus in front of dual amp setup?
