Historical fight - from Amanda having her big moment on a huge stage and the beautiful Puerto Rican anthem to Katie taking every second in as she walked to the ring; realising that all those times she was told no, this was her yes moment. Both sets of fans truly loud and passionate (not our fake drunken louts that we get over here) and a terrific fight. Amanda had Katie out in the fifth but Katie showed why's she the greatest female fighter of all time, she just went ...no, I'm representing more than just myself here and she bit down on that gum shield and swang back. Incredible. Both are icons of the sport. Thought Shields and McCaskill (in particular) were good on comms too.
commentary team was one of the worst most biased ive ever seen, it was ridiculous, they need to get sacked

As an American former non believer, I must admit right here Matchroom and UK boxing has won me over whole heartedly, look at the overall quality of the production surrounding this fight, from start to finish, and Matchroom didn’t even HAVE to give us this after show documentary, the fights over and they already made their money yet they made this for the fans. @jake ahhh so it’s a generational/demographics thing. Here in America we have something similar, we have the old establishment like bob arum’s top rank and PBC by Al Harmon who were the new guys on the block who the older fans dislike because Al Haymon came from the hip hop world and when they first stepped into the game they were paying fighters a huge amount and disrupting the old order by putting fights on cable tv and hosting only in house fights.

Do you think they should have instead been prejudice against her? Taylor has the network, promoter, manager, and tens of thousands of adoring Irish fans in her back pocket. It’s like if they had scored 8 rounds for Taylor, the fix would have been too obvious. The judge who scored it by the widest margin even gave Serrano a 10-8 - that’s all for show. Basically, it was all for show. Good show, though.
Oh, and Teddy is Irish on his Mom’s side. So, there goes that.

@@s2mey382 They’re mostly saying it’s a robbery over the scorecards… How do you only give 3 rounds to Serrano, and then have a judge give a rare 10-8 no KD round(and he was the only one) as a consolation? Moreover, the judge who gave it to Serrano to make it seem fair, didn’t bother to give her the 10th round. Which if he did, it would’ve been 8 rounds to 2. But given everything, had they given 8-2 to Taylor, the fix would’ve been too obvious.
We can both agree that Serrano had no chance short of killing the golden girl. She had the promoter, network, manager, tens of thousands of Irish fans in her back pocket. I’m done talking about this, though. It doesn’t change the official result.
In 10 years, you’ll probably have Irish fans who’ll outright say that Serrano won the fight or behind closed doors. 🤷🏽♂️

Wow I called it too right before the fight scene, 🤦♂️ I knew they weren’t gon show the part of the fight, when Amanda Serrano almost stopped Katie Taylor!! They both gave they best effort though fight was more entertaining than most of the mens boxing 🥊 fights!!!!

Katie Taylor is such an inspiration. She's so humble and respectful. The moment Ali's daughter got a ripple of applause from the people in her changing room and then Katie replies saying "you got a bigger clap than me". What a person. Having followed Katie's journey from the Olympics, that fight literally choked me up at times. Amazing.
