@@GldnClaw the narrator literally brought up Mara, the god of marriage at the end. It was extremely obvious the characters were romantic. Take your homophobic bs somewhere else
Beyond this being just a genuinely fun way to approach skyrim; You’ll never know how much this hit home for me I teared up when i realized you were getting rid of all the alcohol in the house I remember doing that
So proud of you! My dad had battled with it too, and overcame it, so I've seen the struggle. You're a strong person, and I hope you feel proud to accomplish something so difficult!
My grandfather was the closest thing I ever had to a dad. He struggled with alcoholism for years before finally quitting cold turkey late in his 60's, and I know first hand, all your friends and family must be so glad to see you off the stuff and doing well! All the best, man. Truly.
I remember when my mom did that too. It's definitely up there for one of the times I've been proudest of someone. It's so hard but so worth it, and I have so much love for people battling addiction. It can feel so shameful and defeating and isolating, and some days seems like the uphill climb will never end. It gets easier. She's been sober for almost 20 years now, and so much happier for it, and her immense strength taught my siblings and I an irreplaceable, precious lesson and deepened our bonds. Good luck to everyone else fighting for their lives back out there, God bless you. :)
Shor's Stone is an ebony mine in the vanilla game. The unofficial patch changes it to iron because NPCs talk about it being an iron mine. I personally think the oversight goes the other way because ebony is the crystallized blood of shor, so the name would be very appropriate for an ebony mine. But they couldn't hire the voice actor to record the line again I guess
It's also a mistake by the people/person behind the unofficial patch - the story is that it WAS an iron mine, and a quest for the alchemist in Riften has you pick up a piece for him to investigate. It has now been cleared of iron and people are discovering the ebony below it.
Wish they'd make an unofficial non unnecessary changes patch. Just fix game breaking bugs like come on. You can't not use it too bc soanh mods require it
This is so incredibly sweet a story. The kind of personal "I am filling in the blanks with my own head canon" story telling that makes Skyrim and RPGs so appealing to me in the first place.
Can't wait for the Khajit episode, maybe as a part of the merchant caravan moving around until you can finally settle down in Solitude. Feel like when its all said and done this series is going to be one I come back to regularly in the future with how quaint they are. Very calming series, keep up the great work.
Honestly, I'd personally just download an outfit that looks nice but is also shirtless. Like, maybe it's a little gaudy or something and has a bunch of necklaces and amulets, and arm bands. With the legs being the skirt part of either College of Winterhold robes or the skirt from the Dunmer outfit robes. Then as an accompanying set of foot, hand and head wear it would be anklets and ankle bangles, wrist bands and bangles as well as rings on the fingers that don't get rings equipped normally, then finally a circlet with 2 sets of antlers, one smaller than the other.
I suspect Kenshi could be very rewarding for this kind of narrative style. It makes for a lot of interactive and unique stories that I think you could do a lot with. Also that ending with Madesi was ambigious romantic tension done right, and you deserve a macaroon for it.
I've enjoyed all of these stories immensely, but this is my favorite. Something about the only conflict being internal, the tenderness with which you handle addiction, the gentleness of the characters. It's all very soothing and heart-warming. I read the relationship with Madesi as that of a mentor, but it's good to imagine romantic love in Hal's future. I imagine he'll have a respectable fishing trade before becoming a servant of Mara, spreading her love and forgiveness to all those who need it. No matter their rock bottom.
I've been super sick so watching this little lizard man live his best life was honestly the highlight of my day. I even got my dad to sit in and watch, your storytelling skill is fantastic!

This might be my favorite yet. You’re such a great storyteller! I love the angle you took, crawling yourself out of addiction and paying back debts through honest hard work. And your humor is spot on! I’m not sure if you plan to continue this series but it’s one of my recent favorites. It’s such an original, interesting way to approach Skyrim in a time when I thought new ways to play had all but run out. Thanks for your hard work! 😊
What a great video!!! The storytelling and characters are great, and overall make the video 10x more immersive. Definitely subscribing, I can't wait to see more!
This was a really creative video! I havnt seen too many other creators lean into the narritive like this, and Hal's & Madesi's interactions were really sweet.

Wow. Just found this channel after getting back into Skyrim again and watching the classic 100 days vids and this is just amazing. I did not expect to be so enthralled with these characters in only a 30 min video but your storytelling is absolutely amazing and the pacing is very well done. I’ve loved all of your videos so far, but this one really is so sweet. I loved Hal’s journey and seeing him build a life for himself and succeed (even though it’s just in a video game) honestly was really inspiring. Especially toward the end - finding out what his birth name meant and realizing that he probably felt doomed his entire life. Realizing that with enough hard work, kindness, and love you can turn things around no matter how far in a hole you think you are. Thank you so much for these wonderful stories. And also for keeping your channel a safe space for people like us. I really appreciate the kind community you’re building.
Your first-person narration is so funny, gotta love Skyrim being Skyrim, and the third-person immersive storytelling is so touching. I'm rooting for these two sober lizards and their pet (cannibal?!) rat! And thank you for not only creating interesting and diverse stories where everyone has a shot at a happy ending in this fictional universe, but also keeping your comment section safe here in the real world. 😊
Think it could be cool to see in one of the videos where your character leans slightly on the morally grey side and gives in to doing criminal activities to make money. There’s a lot of different roleplaying potential in these vids. You could even do ‘making money as a criminal’ kind of videos. You could essentially redo areas with different role plays, I’d certainly watch them. You could even do bad endings or cliffhangers, where the next video has you flee to a new place. Or stay within the place.
This has been an excellent series so far. I'm glad to see it continuing, and looking forward to the rest. I love these videos!!!! I can't wait for the next one. If you ever need any voice acting, I'd be happy to provide free of charge!
Love your story telling! Something just super cozy about it.
If you read the dead person’s journal from the Ratway, it’s revealed that they were training the skeever in the cage, so it’s friendly and if you release it it becomes your pet/companion!
Oh man I love Hal, his story is so simple but intriguing- only made possible by the excellent writing
The writing you put into this is amazing, especially in the Temple Of Mara
I have really enjoyed the videos in this series you've released this year. They're very fun to listen to. Great work!
These are super cool! I hope you keep making these videos! What a great story!
