Such a fun event! The creativity of the people attending and the shoppe owners is amazing. People are kind, with a good number using the King’s English. The discussions are elevating and educating. I highly recommend making this an annually attended event!
I recommend it, too!
This is one of my favorite fairs... Folks are kind and welcoming to all who come.
I agree. Thank you so much for watching and subscribing. Now on to the Oregon Country Fair!
Another Great video!!
You are so kind. Thank you very much. It's truly appreciated.
I lived in OR the last two years of HS and I love renny fairs! I don't think it had started by the time I left the state (wish I hadn't). Looks great! Thank you 😊
You are quite welcome. Happy you found some delight in it. Thank you so much for watching!
Looks like so much fun had by all
There was!
I have never been to the Renaissance. Must go 2024. Hum. Thanks for the video. I'd love to selfie with you 😊
It's not the Country Fair, but still lots of fun. Stop me when you see me and we can do an ussie!
I'm pretty sure I know the group hosting the spitting contest. I'll be joining them starting this year.
Thank you for this nice video mr. Gabe newell
You are welcome! Thank you for watching!
For several years my mother and I went to opening weekend of the TRF (Texas renaissance Festival), tooooo tooo much fun and the costumes, so fun to see every year, I miss it.
It certainly can feel like one is in another era, that's for sure.
At the Maryland Renaissance Festival, you can see some amazing costumes in terms of time, effort and detail put into them.
I’d really like to go there sometime!
@@gr8fullytedicated Where you want to go is the Common Ground Festival in Unity, Maine put on by MOFGA. It’s dedicated to Organic farming/gardening, and homesteading. They have demonstrations on every imaginable life-skill with whole tents set up where people go to spin yard, knit, whatever. They even have a demonstration of droving (working oxen). It probably can’t compare to Portland for the ‘cosmic’ factor, but the people aren’t nasty like so many are in Portland either.
there is medieval fair at balingup western australia next 24 and 25 august 2024
I wish I could make it....hope you go!

You can find out more about this one (in Canby) here: www.oregonfaire.com/?gad_source=1
You can find out more about this one (in Silverton) here: canterburyfaire.com
I'll be at the one in Canby either June 8 or 9, depending on the weather
Was there actual renaissance music playing though? Washington had hard rock for the jousting 🥺 there was so much modern stuff
Well, it's been a while since I recorded this and my memory is not what it used to be. However, if it serves me correctly, I do recall several stages where Olde English folk music was being played, which for most people would pass as renaissance music. I can say that after being in Florence, Italy--the home of the Renaissance and where it all began--this past Fall, I didn't hear much there...LOL
This is from 2023? I went to this in September and saw only some of these events, the rest weren’t available. When was this recorded?
This was video recorded on-site on Sunday, June 4, 2023, in Canby, OR. The other Ren Faire on my channel here was recorded at the Canterbury Renaissance Faire near Estacada, OR, in July of this year.
I love the Renaissance faire, I went to the faire in California years ago. I would like to go to this one but don't know where it is, could anyone help me with the location. Thank you.
Did you by any chance see a red eyed horned helm barbarian there
Uhm, don;t remember
insightful video ted! i gotta make sure to go to this fair one day
I hope you are able to make it!
