Thank you for sharing. i'm from Trinidad. Did DNA testing recently vast majority of my DNA show excat compatability to Ewe/Fon People. Which confirmed the vast majority of Africans stolen or sold were from these regions. Nice to have a better understanding of my ancestors history. good job
So everybody agrees that Agokoli's nephew was murdered but we still portrait Agokoli and his wrath as been wicked and irrelevant?? That part bothers me. I wish the Anlo (Volta) will apology to the Ewe in Togo. It is just a personal opinion from a little ewe happy to learn more about his culture! I respect Hogbetsotso but we all saw that that would have never happen if the DogboS didn't lie and killed Agokoli's nephew over ego. But noo wahala!!!! miakata novi ko migni looo Volta Togo Benin novi deka kpo mi gni. Akpe na mi looo! miawo wo do kaka lo.
It probably is not true. Story tellers write stories from what they were told. If I'm making animation,I'll portray agorkoli as evil and his bad behaviour as irrelevant. If someone from Togo is writing it, agorkoli will be a hero. Stories are like that
My grandfather called " Fiator " told me this story clearly after i read about it in an ewe story book back at class two. I miss him and my village Adaklu
The duty of remembrance will remain immortal and eternal, for their divine actions and decisions. Granting protection to the public. The fight, the peace, the wisdom of the Ewe people in pre-colonial times. The continuity of power and an anti-slavery system. History will always retain the goods made and the great works launched by men and women. This philosophy of wisdom and this tradition of ancestral peace, you have acquired them since always. These are all our reasons to exist and to know how to live.

There is a need to revisit such history in order to correct the memory of our dear ancestor Agokoli. This story was coined superciliously by the colonist to deprecate our culture. The King Agokoli was not barbaric as depicted in this animation. And there historical evidence.

Great!
Welcome to the Ewe clan
Good to know your roots, find time and visit home
Actually nothing is heard from what you said, it's only the background noise that had taken over
the background sound is too laud and make it hard of hearing the word
This is so beautiful please do more history stuff because many of us kids of today ghana don't know most of our histories as Ghanaians
Ewes were not in Ghana empire. That part is lies
@@kofiboat779 it is not lies it is true
@@DominixxYT its a myth...
@@1bigsillygoose It is true
Really nice video, very insightful! Cheers from Brazil!!
They walked backwards to avoid being traced you should have emphasized on that....it's the most important part
but this was depicted in the video oh, please watch it again wae
Footsteps are footsteps. Walking backwards does not mean you can’t be traced. Doesn’t make sense to me.
@@ashiabor Just to clarify from history, they walked backwards and cleared the footprints as went along. It was not actually captured in this.
This is beautiful.
great job done. woe le dɔdzi.
Thank my people for this history. This is an heritance for all EWEs. Love u.
Woe I love this
The art's kind of like a pop-up book! 😃
This is great.... Kudos team

Wow its nice
waou i love you nafti studio
Nice graphic editing. But your voice narration is so low that I couldn't use it to teach my kids. The background noise overwhelms your voice
Great video
We are hearing our history
I think it's a good idea and a great way of sharing our culture and reminding ourselves of our roots....keep it up
