- The Mavericks perform their version of Cat Stevens' "Here Comes My Baby" on "The Tonight Show" in 1999, with Jamie Hanna, Eric Holt and The Havana Horns.
One of my favorites by the Mavericks .
I could watch Paul drum all day! And no one can out-sing Raul.
I feel old now. I have been trying to see them on the Johnny Carson show, playing Don’t Bring me down. It was the first time I saw them……
What an awesome live performance
Love this song and this is a great cover.
Thanks Mark. WOW! Raul's voice just keeps getting better with age!
He is one of the best voices, thanxs.
what a great cover!!
Hopefully you or someone will be able to reupload or if that is not possible the David Letterman official channel could be persuadec to upload the letterman mavericks performances that were on the channel. Thanks for your great Mavericks uploads.
I'll check my archive, because I think I have some of the Letterman appearances!
Awesome!
ty. raul malis very cool in this
Raul MALO
Cat Stevens wrote this song.
Paul's drumstick fails him during the intro...and they don't miss a beat. :)
I totally missed that!
He's amazing!

MORE COWBELL!!!
Drumstick takes real battering !
Please, everyone, look up the Tremeloes version. I think it's the best yet.
They know how to do it,,???
It's a cat Stevens song
tremoloes
Cat stevens.
It's a much better backing than the versions sung by Cat Stevens and The Tremeloes.
No, it's not.
Great...But not quite as great as The Tremeloes.
And not as good as Cat Stevens' version.
