I don't care what anybody says this is just pure genius and class.
❤
I remain fascinated by what an incredibly diverse drummer Paul Deakin is! At 5:22, he put his left drumstick in his teeth, reached to get something behind him, kept drumming one-handed while making an equipment adjustment with his left hand, and seamlessly continued normally afterward. I absolutely love watching him work!
Drummer: “Look at me being as distracting as I can be.”
Ive never heard this before. I like it
great but strange how Cash use his guitarr...
ACM Awards 1997
As always, Paul just sits there hosting his own Masterclass on drumming! Awesome mix of skill and showmanship
And the KING lives on in so many ways
That snare is killing me
Yes it is t y
I'm listening to Raul sing Jersey Girt in Red Bank and it's my 76 b'day. It's not a bad day at all.
Well, this guy is a fabulous singer too.
Was blessed to see them before they got famous, in Miami. It was so obvious even then that they would be stars.
They named the band The Blue Mountain Boys, because Elvis, Scotty and Bill, were all three West Tennessee boys, and DJ was a Louisiana boy. As everyone familiar with geography knows, that Blue Mountain begins here in West TN. In what actually use to be Elvis's front yard at the time. Then, it runs all the way down through Mississippi. Where it makes a sharp turn to the west, and runs over into Louisiana. Where it ends, in what use to be DJ's back yard at the time. Hence, "Elvis Presley & The Blue Mountain Boys".
Where's Blue Mountain? 😂
They should never have excused Nick Kane. He's a dynamic player that complemented the Mavericks sound. He's a nice bloke too! Jerry Dale McFadden is a monster!!
10 times I watch this show, 10 times I cry at the end -
❤❤You guys are a great team, always at a level.
What happened to country music 😢Now Kris is gone.
Thank you Mark Potter this was brill. Loved ohnny Cash & hia pals. Keep the Heavens rocking Johnny we love you forever,

I appreciate how Raul still says “Thank You” after each song performed. Humble plus Confidant.

“Tell Me Why” is always a Fave song when I hear it.
Touch of Choral Music?
Oh Man, this is a major treasure.!!!! I found these guys about 2 years ago and they´ve become my favorite all time band. I love to see this earlier concerts to see how they´ve changed and grown over the years. This band has survived because it stayed true to their artistic and human souls. They have sustained themselves by not selling out to money but to giving their audience great authentic music. Straight from their heart the the listener.
You speak so nicely. Same here, discovered almost 2 years ago & have been a Fan of SO Much of their work; & of Raul’s Solo Work.
Thank you for all you find & share
Thanks for listening and sharing Judy!
London, Palladium Theatre 1977 I was in the Audience There was a Bomb Scare & we were all Evacuated till a Bomb Search. Was Done .. June Carter Came on. Stage & Joked " Some one Doesn't Like My Singing " this was Recorded on JRs Live Album Strawberry Cake
Boring. Some great musicians. Especially Willie Nelson but these type of tribute shows for just the rich were weak and contrived. Playing by for their true fans when they pay to see just the artist is where they shine most
MORE COWBELL!!!
😀❤
raul malo muy bueno.
Does anyone know the name of the intro music before the band starts ?
June 6 is my birthday hell .
Wow!! What a handsome man!!😁💋💗
Heard all of them on the Neil Rodgers show on Zeta 4 years ago
Sure like the mavericks
Wow! Traditional country music that truly evokes the feeling of being in a honky tonk. Does anyone have any information about what happened to this group? I recognise several names.
They toured for several years, but these two songs are all that was captured in the studio. As for what happened to the members; Chuck Mead records solo albums and performs... Mark Collie recently released a few solo albums... Chris Scruggs has been with Marty Stuart's band for quite some time... Paul Deakin and Robert Reynolds reunited with The Mavericks in 2012, however Reynolds is now with 67 Sun and has released one album!
Thanks for sharing this! WOW! I love "Lucy Goosey"! Has a very 50s vibe to it!
Yeah! This is not what I would expect from a group of 15-16 year olds in 1979 to record! Sounds as if it had been recording 15-20 years before!
@@markpotter3714 Maybe they grew up listening to 'the oldies' and were emulating what they liked?
Yep, that’s exactly how Hank would’ve done it. NOT. Don’t juice up the classics. Keep them pure.
Two of the best singers ever!
And look how it all turned out..Reynalds sacked…..Yearwood divorced him and married Garth Brooks ..that’s the price of fame.
Love this song and this is a great cover.
That Marty Stewart was hot!
Thank you Mark- you post the Best most special recordings
Oh yeah country music at its finest!!❤
Super song 🔥🎼🎵🎶🎙🎸🥁🎤🎸Happy Weekend for all ‼Thank lots The Mavericks ♥🔥🌺☘🌻💃🕺👌👋
