There are a lot of glitches that actually break the gaming experience when you're trying to do things legitimately, such as broken saves (not the intentional broken saves at the end of the game, although I do think that was a bad game design choice) or cutscenes that get weirdly bugged out and prevent cutscenes/scripted events from playing out properly unless you completely restart your run (GTLive's run). There are also lots of glitches you encounter in normal gameplay that may not ruin your game entirely but can ruin your experience or generally fuck up the immersion - multiple of the same animatronics being viewable in a single section (not sure how people managed this tbf), animatronics teleporting right on top of you (Markiplier's run), Roxy not leaving the room during the Afton ending like she's supposed to and basically just camping you (Markiplier's run but also many other people's runs), weird geometry that feels straight out of a 2010s free MMORPG (every single person's run ever), and then problems with game design for mission clarity and things like that. With that being said, glitches like the freddy void glitch, these out of bounds achievements, and most of the tricks speedrunners use are genuinely just pretty funny, harmless, and difficult to find without trying to do so on purpose. I think this game has a lot of genuine flaws that are worth criticizing (although nothing justifies harassing the creators! it's the holidays you guys, it sucks that they picked such a sensitive and busy time to release an unfinished buggy game but they still have families and their personal lives come first!) but at the same time some of the glitches make this game charming. I'm just worried when they start working on glitches that they'll patch the funny/easy glitches first (like getting Freddy in areas you're not supposed to have him, especially post-game) and leave the glitches that make the game hostile to players (AI teleporting right on top of you) to rot. After all, a lot of the fun and easy glitches seem easier to patch from an outside perspective than fixing the AI so it's not terrible (both in a "it cant kill you" way and in a "its super unfair and overpowered" way)
I just imagine Vanny walking across the catwalk with a cup of noodles. Enjoying a quick meal, walking into that room as Gregory is using the computer. (Insert that surprised reaction from vanny in the comic strip) and before she even has a clue what has happened... a bunch of staff bots start scooping out her insides.
Gregory later:*returns to freddy* Freddy:"There you are! You sure took a long time over there. Do we want to go?" Gregory:"Actually, I'm done. I just wanted to meet up before leaving for today." Freddy:"Oh, er...nice, I guess. Will you be back tomorrow?" Gregory:"I get the feeling the place will be closed for a long time due to a random bloody corpse being disassembled, so probably not." Freddy:"..."
I'm actually glad they didn't destroy the speedrun exploits: they probably kept them in on purpose because speedrunners usually have to go out of their way to find glitches. They only need to patch glitches that effect normal players. Steel Wool Studios clearly understands how speedrunners are important players because they will buy the game and bring it some extra popularity by seeing how fast they can play. Some people try and eliminate speedrunners and I don't understand why.
I honestly find most of the glitches add charm to the game. The only glitches that bothers me are the one that prevent you from getting all 7 badges without using exploits. My favorite glitch is the one where you press the elevator button before the door open, get out after they do, and it causes the area to deload.
1:08 "...this saves about a minute, which may not seem like much..." In Speedrun world, a minute is TOO MUCH TIME, saving a minute in any speedrun IS A LOT!
Watching so many of these glitches makes me think. Doesn’t this feel like something Scott Cawthon would have done on purpose in a previous game like Fnaf world? Maybe to hide secret
Used this to get the 'Hide&Seek Master' Achievement. Needed over all 3 tries (got myself 2 times soft locked) and took about 20 minutes to pull of. Thanks man! Saved me a lot of time
it's honestly so funny to me that you have to scale the side of that poster... Like, it's almost exactly like the fredbear minigame from fnaf 3 but unintentional HAHA
The bugs make the speedruns interesting but the problem is that the bugs in the game have been breaking people's casual play throughs and so the developer does deserve flack for that
As a counterpoint to the Super Mario 64 comparison, that game was only a buggy mess because Nintendo was going into such revolutionary, uncharted territory that they couldn't help but miss a lot of bugs along the way. Security Breach is a buggy mess because it's literally unfinished.
@@ChooseOneorDie I get where your argument is coming from. Biggest FNaF game? Sure. However, at the end of the day this is a pretty rote First Person Horror Game, and comparing a game in what's now become a fairly traditional genre made with a fully developed, well worn engine like UE4 to a game in a previously unheard of genre developed with a built from scratch engine is...not the best look for the former. I have some sympathy for developers learning how to work with games of larger scope (although I should point out that the developers, Steel Wool Games, previously worked with Unreal 4 within this same franchise while working on the VR game), but let's not act like any of this is ground breaking in the grand scheme of things. The developers have a lot of games to take reference from while designing Security Breach, and the issues with this game definitely seem to stem more from rushing to meet tight deadlines than any inexperience on the developers' parts.
i personally think that if a glitch is extremely rare to be done unintentionally or it has to be done intentionally, it should be left, your average player isn't going to have the experience ruined and experienced players will have fun and unique tools at their disposal
All they would have needed to do is slap the "early access" thing on the store page and they could have gotten away with selling a buggy, untested mess. Surprised they didn't.
I can smell this game being more broken than we have any idea of. I think if we were able to do it right, we could theoretically clip into a *different ending* in an even faster time. I don't know how yet, but given how broken freddy is, as well as the level collision and physics.... I bet we can do it
The devs puts a lots of hard works and love into this game, but people are still trashing it like the devs didn't put any hard work or love into this game, it's quite sad to see. Sure the game has a lots of bugs, sure the game seems sloppy, but it is still an amazing game, it also looks very good, even in low graphics.
I think they focused on the "could" too much compared to the "should." Power ups, collectibles, an upgradeable and summonable invincibility suit, one-and-done mechanics, multiple weapons that do the same thing slightly differently, intentionally confusing design, and a jump button. I could probably list even more if I try, but I think you get my point.
@@coyraig8332 Yeah, feels like an ambitious team that really wanted to do as much as they could, and express their love for the franchise, which really comes through in the designs. But when it came to the gameplay and story execution, it sadly felt flat on it's face. I do really believe them when they say they tried to fix as many bugs as they could, only for new shit, and shit they thought they had fixed to rear their ugly heads. It's a shame man. Game development's fucking hard as balls.
@@raspymorten I don't buy them "trying to fix as many bugs as they could" when the game shipped with a softlock that a single playtest of the endings would have clearly highlighted. At best they found a few bugs before saying "fuck it, the fanbase is gullible and will blindly defend any fnaf game. Well just use them as playtesters."

You know something is wrong when you can finish hours of gameplay in the same time it takes to microwave anything
Freddy: we need to get you out of here
Also freddy: gregory where did you go???
I can't believe we, as the speedrunning community, are being recognized by big channels like TetraBitGaming.
Mom: Get ready we are going in 5 minutes
TetraBitCLIPS:Ok mom let me just beat fnaf security breach
This series turned from Five Nights at Freddy's to Three Minutes at Freddy's.
Freddy: Gregory, you must wait 6 hours to get out from this place.
Gregory: make it 3 minutes
😆
Despite how buggy the game is, I still enjoy it, plus, I very much enjoy seeing how people can get through the game so fast using said bugs.
Gregory later:*returns to freddy*
Freddy:"There you are! You sure took a long time over there. Do we want to go?"
Gregory:"Actually, I'm done. I just wanted to meet up before leaving for today."
Freddy:"Oh, er...nice, I guess. Will you be back tomorrow?"
Gregory:"I get the feeling the place will be closed for a long time due to a random bloody corpse being disassembled, so probably not."
Freddy:"..."
imagine gregory just running as fast as he can to play these runs. lmao

"...this saves about a minute, which may not seem like much..."
In Speedrun world, a minute is TOO MUCH TIME, saving a minute in any speedrun IS A LOT!
Watching so many of these glitches makes me think. Doesn’t this feel like something Scott Cawthon would have done on purpose in a previous game like Fnaf world? Maybe to hide secret
I think Scott Cawthon quit while it was on developing. Which explain why the game feel rushed
FNAF Security Breach: Debug Update
TetraBitGaming:
*_I'm already 4 parallel universes ahead of you_*
With how fast Gregory is it's suprising that he's unable to beat the gate closing. Though I guess it's leaving with style
Me, who spent 2 weeks trying to beat security breach: I’m fine... I’m fine.... I’m... * *sniff* * fine
FNAF is a horror game but to Speedrunners it's now a plateformer :O
Hello
(Say it back! )
Nah
Ok
@@dynamtic DAMMIT u
Ok
Ok
Used this to get the 'Hide&Seek Master' Achievement. Needed over all 3 tries (got myself 2 times soft locked) and took about 20 minutes to pull of. Thanks man! Saved me a lot of time
Poor Vanessa. She finds out some kid is sneaking around the pizzaplex, and within 3 minutes, Vanny comes to the front and she fucking dies.
"Should we check to make sure dialogue and jumping doesn't break the game?"
"Nah, should be fine."
it's honestly so funny to me that you have to scale the side of that poster... Like, it's almost exactly like the fredbear minigame from fnaf 3 but unintentional HAHA
The bugs make the speedruns interesting but the problem is that the bugs in the game have been breaking people's casual play throughs and so the developer does deserve flack for that
I'm a little disappointed that that's the ending the speedrun gets, are there speedruns that get the ending in the basement?
Yeah but this is the quickest ending
Mom: We're leaving in 3 minutes, finish up your game
Speedrunners: Alright time to beat FNaF SB
Imagine freddy looking at gregory jump on a poster and dissapear thru a wall...
*Gregory! Can you free me now?*
*uh.. Gregory..?*
*yo what the f-*
Security breach speedrunners: finish the game in 3 minutes.
Matpat: *(P* *A* *R* *T* *9)*
As a counterpoint to the Super Mario 64 comparison, that game was only a buggy mess because Nintendo was going into such revolutionary, uncharted territory that they couldn't help but miss a lot of bugs along the way.
Security Breach is a buggy mess because it's literally unfinished.
Fair!
Love the Ode to MMBN in the video with the Waterworks server music. A great series of games.
3 minutes at Freddie's
"Gregory, quit speedrunning through the damn game! Come back!!"
The speedrun is pretty much the most realistic scenario. Just avoid everything and go for the exit. lol
no longer a security breach, this is a security violation
i personally think that if a glitch is extremely rare to be done unintentionally or it has to be done intentionally, it should be left, your average player isn't going to have the experience ruined and experienced players will have fun and unique tools at their disposal
7:44 Yoooo! That's my logo! Thanks for covering the game TetraBit and all of it's broken madness haha
Awesome logo! Thanks for watching!
It's incredible how a spacebar holds so much power against this game.
Those speedrunners took the “There’s actually, three.” Meme literally
All they would have needed to do is slap the "early access" thing on the store page and they could have gotten away with selling a buggy, untested mess. Surprised they didn't.
0:05 Freddie’s mouth almost is in sync with TetraBitGaming
The question here is: will Charlie try this new route?
Aftons use these techniques to glitch out of hell whenever they want
Markiplier: takes almost/over 10 hours to finish the game.
Speedrunners: _S p E e E e E e E e E e D_
You gotta love how FNAF Security Breach is so broken, that glitch-running has become an olympic sport.
I can smell this game being more broken than we have any idea of. I think if we were able to do it right, we could theoretically clip into a *different ending* in an even faster time. I don't know how yet, but given how broken freddy is, as well as the level collision and physics.... I bet we can do it
Devs: it’ll take about 600 minutes to beat this game!
Speedrunners: no its 3, actually
This is getting closer to the vid
"Basically security breach in 1 minute"
Scott: spends months making a single detailed room in fnaf security breach.
Players: S P E E D
"detailed"
