Trains Running In Busy Locality of Lahore City | Track Machine | Pakistan Railways

- Few days ago I posted a video of Walton Railway Station where I shot 15UP and 9UP. On the very same day, after shooting those two trains at Walton station, we moved to this busy area of Lahore which also has a market and a busy road. There is a big pedestrian bridge for people to cross the tracks but rarely people use it.
These videos are shot from this pedestrian bridge. In first part of video, I was waiting for 10DN to arrive but couldn't judge that there's some action on UP track also as 7UP was arriving before time.
Anyway when the dual action of these trains (7UP X 10DN) was shot, there was this lonely track machine which came from Walton and moved towards Lahore Cantt to work.

Location: Walton Area, Lahore City
Weather: Cloudy
Trains: 10DN Allama Iqbal Express on Down track, 7UP Tezgam on UP Track
Locomotives: ZCU-30 with both 10DN and 7UP
After watching this I must admit that Indian railways has improved a lot really. Not even 20 years back even Indian railways looked similar to this. But now it has changed drastically. Pakistan should also focus on building good railways for its people.
There is no denial Indian Railways is better than PR. But there is no point of comparison as I never did.
@@PakRailography I don't want to compare but just evaluating the progress of our railway as I instantly got reminded of Indian railway condition 15-20 years back. Basically it means Pakistan stopped working on railway upgradation at that time. Pakistan also has the capacity to develop their railways you need focus and commitment. Good luck.
Very nice. 16 coach train. We used to have this capacity in early 1990. After that gradually most busy trains have become 22 or 24 coaches. We still have 8 or 16 coach train on some rural sub sector. This kind of track beside road is common in India too across major junction station

I don't understand why these many indians are mocking pakistan on this video. There are still unelectrified tracks in india, and this video gives the similar feeling that we are almost same. Old vintage diesel tracks in between busy urban areas. Semaphore railway signal. Lovely videography. 👍 Subscribed. I wish pakistan railway improve with time. Railway is a very important medium of transportation. Sadly Pak isn't paying heed to it

Although your programs are always so fantastic it was sad to see a beautiful city like Lahore being treated so shabbily by its own people. There was garbage everywhere and I just hope that because your programs I think deliberately highlight things like that better sense will prevail and the Lahore Govt. and its people will in shame do something immediately. It is the city of gardens. Once again Bhai a beautiful program, with your usual very satisfying attention to detail and the small but wonderful things of life, of Pakistan and its good people. That was my experience. Although it was until July or August of 1965 and then we moved to Karachi. The memories are still fresh of the wonderful people of Lahore. 20yrs ago Indian railways were like this. Exactly like this. Then came the electric revolution and new 22 coach long trains. Along with some high speed 160km/hr engines. Still the trash on tracks are not sorted though

The trians from Karachi to Pindi may be taken outside Lahore on the Bund Road. New railways stations at Thokar, Yateem Khana and Shahdara. This loop inside the city can be used for circular trains.

Thank you Sumit for your comment. Yes pollution is major problem especially on tracks as there is no one watching and everyone dump their garbage here. Someone truly said that change starts from within.. So if everyone plays their part, it will be clean in no time. Its out national asset and we need to keep it clean. People from India and Pakistan need to learn that.

Indian Railways is changed a lot during the past few years. Most of the tracks are clean, stations are very neat, coaches are good. The trains are running mostly on time. Speed of few trains is upgraded.
There is no doubt IR has advanced a lot.

Indian Railways trains have minimum 18 coaches and run at 120 - 140 Kms. Coaches are well maintained.
Here rakes are also 17-18 coaches and max allowed speed is 110 kmph
I wouldn't say that well maintained. AC coaches are okay, but have you seen Non-AC ones, even LHB ones??

@@PakRailography Dear it is our extreme badluck that we have consistently going down towards slope. It was PR who first used electric engines in south Asia is 60s. Earlier there was electric jumpers over the track from Lahore to khanewal and it was to be given expansion till Karachi cantt. But incompetent and uncommitted railway management destroyed it. You will be amazed to learn that electric engine is one third in price as compared to diesel engine. Pollution cost is apart. Moreover there is a need to replace the rolling stock. It is a very costly decision if taken that PR should switch over to standard gauge from its existing broad gauge. But the thing is there is a great scarcity of visionary leadership.

Why this tracks has very short space on both sides. This supposed to be railway land and people have occupied illegally the land near tracks. what will happen incase of an accident (God forbid) train could off track how many lives can be in danger. If the incroachment near Karachi cantt can be cleared then why not here?
