    Amazing. Good dogs. I have one but needs a playmate. Sold the ranch. I’m going crazy trying to find a good breeder that’s not going to be so crazy expensive. My dog no longer has to do this, but needs a playmate. I can’t afford $1,000 for even the basic of healers. My dog lost her mate recently. This is really hard.

    Should divide the cattle and have the dogs cut and guide one cow one at a time into the trailer. Having them all bunch up together at the open end of the trailer creates too much pressure on each cow and they wont go in. Reduce the pressure by having the dogs select a single cow in the first small corral you got them into and push one into the second small corral to guide it into the trailer and do that for each cow. Have the calf follow the mother into the trailer.

    • @Satusstockdogs
      @Satusstockdogs  6 років тому +11

      SpiritBear12 lol what part of wild cattle did you miss. Any human pressure and them cattle would of blown through that make shift corral.

  • @lm464326

    You're a far better dog trainer than I am so this is a question, not a suggestion. Do you ever let the dogs press on them hard, in the open, and try to get them moving into the corrals at a trot? (Moving off the dogs stronger because they've been bit a few times?) (I haven't seen all your videos, so disregard if this is an irrelevant question.)) I know it depends on who owns the cattle, but it seems to work better for me with "non-dogbroke cattle".

    • @Satusstockdogs
      @Satusstockdogs  2 роки тому +2

      The dogs usually get them under control fairly easy . It is our presence and pressure that usually mess things up
