  • In this video I have explained about Interpretation of HPLC reports for Hemoglobinopathies in India
    This video will be useful for all medical laboratory professional to interprete HPLC chromatograph and diagnose Hemoglobinopathies like sickle trait, sickle disease, beta thalassemia, HbE trait and disease, Hb D Punjab ( Heterozygous and Homozygous) , Hb lepore, HbJ Meerut, Hb Q India, HPFH and Double Heterozygous conditions in India
    It took me three years to learn all different hemoglobinopathies which is covered in just 22 minute video !

    A little off topic.... Can u cover parasites and tests u can do to detect microscopic parasites.
    I have animals and I feel I could have parasites I'd like to go to the Dr and ask for proper test to be done.
    If u can do that it would be great. Thank you very much🙂

      Lab should go for other test ..like sickling.../solubility test. .how much exact value got S window. .15-40 will be Trait. Also history of blood transfusion in last 3 month to be rule out.

    Hi, recently did HPLC test... These are findings
    Hb A2 : 3.7%
    Hb F : 0.8%
    Hb A: 95.5%
    Haemoglobin: 17.2
    MCV: 96.7
    MCH: 31.1
    RBC : 5.5
    RDW-CV : 18.3
    Could you please suggest if this is beta thalassemia carrier or any other test is required to confirm

    • @livebiochemistry
      @livebiochemistry  3 місяці тому

      No...cbc reports and HPLC finding rule out thal minor / thal carrier ...it's normal
